  1. If you get a good pair, I can wear them as long as any other shoe. Ie 16hr day no issue, but the +5" or just a pair that are not comfy, well then 16hr walking/standing would be night mare. I'm not a fan of this get dress up for wedding and as soon dinner is over shoes are off, look. So I rarely wear new shoes to such events. I'd rather test drive first to see if they are up for the distance. i rarely buy new shoes for specific events anyway. Sussie

  2. I am surprised to see that a lot of girls would just slip off their heels to drive instead of changing into sneakers, Uggs or flip flops. I know that most flats, especially sneakers are usually very comfortable to drive in. I am guessing they are the most efficient shoes to wear too when driving since that is what NASCAR drivers wear as well for their races.

    Hi,

Why change. Hop in car, slip of shoe and drive. Obviously easy with a shoe that slips on or just simple strap. Sometimes if I know I want to get out quickly or go quickly I might take off/on before or after like at lights. I have changed to other shoes, but also depends on the car set up. Some cars i can drive in 6" heels (although prefer not to), but others I simply cannot in a 4" heel.

  3. Depends, dress or skirt and especially sexy type on their own and usually in sandals. I feel sexy. Jeans wearing pumps or boots, yes more dom. Work skirt suit, I feel more powerfull or boss like. I once had a sprained ankle and at work I felt sort of less boss like and now I feel as a boss I am not dressed unless in some sort of heel. Exception would be say in my knee length denim skirt and my lace up knee boots, mixture of sexy and dom.

  4. Girl's view. If my husband wears heels out, I make it worth his trouble. But I don't like the danty, girlie ones on him. ie no pink, prefer no open shoes and I like him in the hourglass style chunky heel, although stilletoes are ok. When he wears boots, he wears football socks underneath. Clothes, 2 years back he gave me a long A line denim skirt, which is fitted over bum for birthday. It was one size too big, but I made him put it on and he looked great on his bum. He said it was increadabily comfortable and soft unlike normal denim jeans and asked if it was ok if he kept it. I liked the skirt and I went and got same in my size and gave straight home to try on concerned my bum didn't look as good. He won't and I don't want him to wear skirt in public, but we have gone for a drive and night time walks wearing same skirt and heels. I got us a pair of white T-shirts, male and low cut fitted female for me just to top it off. I not interested in seeing him in a dress or girlie. Doesn't suit his build or shape and does nothing for me. Sussie

  5. G'day, Heelsrule,

We want to see Tassy on the next trip, but with the AUD so strong against the USD now is hardly the time for playing tourist there. On our first trip in 2001 the AUD was under $0.50US. That was a travel bargain!

I'm the only Yank I know of that loves Vegemite, Slim Dusty, and wearing high heels! LOL Hope we can meet up someday!

    Steve

haha, Slim was a great guy and singer, but not my kind of music. Spent a number of years in Tassie myself, where I went to uni. Word of warning, Tasmanians are very conservative and will not be so welcoming of men in heels, especially regional areas.

The dollar is making a few things difficult, but unfortunately when the country is the main supplier of coal and iron ore to the world among other minerals the little Aussie battler is therefore strongly linked to commodity prices. Ironically when GFC struck, the Aussie was dumped in a big way, yet we were the only developed western economy not to have a recession.

  6. Hi, I grew up in Sydney. You won't have problems there I think it has 2nd largest gay community in world behind San Fran. Go during gay and Lesbian Marti gra and no one would notice. But like anywhere there are better areas for guys to wear heels than others. Eastern side, like the famous Oxford St is fine. Sussie

  7. See? Behind every successful man, there's a woman! Well done, Sussie! Sounds like you know how to make your hubby a happy little vegemite!

What part of Oz are you in? I get over there frequently and been all around NSW and Vic and a few other places.

    Steve

I read "Vegemite" and my eyes went straight to your details, then I saw USA and thought what the? Now I see why?

Central Qld, but looking at moving in next 6-12mths. Thinking of getting someone to take over business in some manner and moving south and living in the highlands of Tas.

  8. I own a business so don't go to interviews as such for long time. But I had to do something similar recently, business deal with my small company expanding. I wore black woolen pin stripe skirt suit, cut just above the knee and nothing visible under the jacket. Shoes were a pair of black leather Dorsay's with ankle strap (usually only wear heels during day with some sort of ankle support) with a large bright necklace to make me not look so dark and cover any cleavage that might come out. HB said I might have been a bit too sexy, but I dress similar just in company suit with logo on daily basis. All went ok. Love Sussie

  9. Hi Histileto/bubba, Yeah it also started as a bit of a joke. I was in a adults store one day and I saw a pair of 4" Dorsays there in his size similar to what he has bought me. Caught my eye simply because on how big they were. I'm only an 8, but to see female shoes in size 15, they were huge!So I thought why not. Then at home that night I made him sit down blind folded and put them on him. he was a bit shocked but not angry, he walked around a bit for me and I was amazed he never stumbled once. I always had visions of guys not being about to walk one step without stumbling. In his jeans he looked fairly hot too as he carried his psoture well and I have asked himto wear them a few times and he can do for hours and not complain. and we often went for short walks (I had to bribe him going bra less) at night along our rural street on a full moon both wearing same shoes as a challenge to see whose feet would get sore first. i asked once if he would wear them out to quiet dinner or something and it was definit no, but l later said if he got a pair of knee high Ellie lace ups like mine he would. The plan was dinner with take away in the park and then late movies on a week night. He got dressed first, but was very nervous. So I put on same boots, a very short denim mini and a fitted top to show no eyes would be on him. We had a great night and repeated similar, although the boots are umcomfortable at the top as his legs are too long for boot. He knows I'm a sure thing on these nights so this helps. We are looking for more shoes, especially boots, but most 15's are cheap hooker style and boots rarely long enough in leg. Love Sussie

  10. I got my HB into wearinng heels as joke (he was asking me to wear heels all the time so I bought him some to try and show him up, bum bum). He enjoys and to be honest wears the bigger heels much better than me. But his biggest gripe (and mine is that as womens size 15, there is so little on offer in the general fashion area. His options seem so limited. As such we have only gone out once with him in a pair of Ellies lace ups that didn't fit well around the calf. love Sussie

  11. Hi, Happlied married for 10 years. But once had a 12mth live in girl relationship. We were flat mates and it just happened. We are both into fashion, I could not go for a butch girl as I get attracted to a dolly/lipstick. Broke up when she started seeing a guy and I moved out. We both new it was only until a suitable male turned up. We enjoyed swapping clothes, shoes and helping each other get dressed. Is it me but do girl girl relationships often have girls of similar size? Love Sussie

  12. How many girls wear business suits, blouse, nylons:smile: with very high heels? For what reasons?

Its my business so I set the uniform rules. Skirtsuit, summer above knee, winter full length, although our climate isn't cold by NA standards so I don't wear long skirt much. style is classic 3 button but no blouse/shirt underneath normally with bulky necklace (to disguise cleavage). I prefer the cleaner lines of just suit, hubby prefers it too, says its sexier.

During hotter periods I usually drop jacket and just wear a mono colour fitted T and maybe wear jacket open or not at all.

Colours, new colour annually when we order new uniforms, currently its black with blue pin.

Shoes, varies, but that's me. I try not to wear the same shoe twice a week as I like to change heights for foot health and as uniform stays same its only thing I can usually change. Also what activities I have planned for day. Sometimes 4-5" heels, usually with ankle straps. In cooler months boots.

    Stockings, coolest months only.

  13. I drive in heels all the time. I really don't have a problem with it. Well, mules are a problem, but then I just drive barefoot and spare myself the hassle. If I were ever pulled over I could slip them on again without anyone being the wiser.

Me personally, I won't drive in big spikes etc, I don't feel safe. I carry a pair of "normal" shoes under seat if I need them. When going out with hubby, which is when I'm most likely wearing shoes that are less likely to be easy to get on/off, I let him drive so no issue there. A few times I have being going on a girls night out I have let hubby know if advance and he is happy to drop me off and always insists picking up, so again no issues and if there is I just wear something easily removalable. ie not my lace up knee boots with 6" spikes no zip.

Re-driving in bare feet, I normally just pull my shoes off and don't worry about shoes unless its cold. I once asked a cop and he said its no longer a problem for them. They would rather you driver barefooted over heels. Also our regional lifestyle is such that most people where thongs/flip flops so hard to enforce a law aimed at 100 year old cars anyway.

  14. I'm a bit surprised at last comment. If my boy one day wants to heels, I'll support but until then I wont suggest. My husband and I also have an interesting past time. Some time ago he bought be a long denim skirt that was was fitted around my bum and had a A shape from below the crutch. I tried it on but it was one size too big but I loved style being soft and easy to walk in, so my Husband got the next size down, but forgot to take other back to exchange. After that he never seemed to have a problem, regardless of label. So one day I asked why, he showed me. He found that if the skikt fitted him correctly, it was next size to big for me. He demonstrated with that same denim skirt that was too big for me. What I noted was that it really fitted him well and I wasn't put off. I aked him what he thought and he said it was comfortable, so asked him to leave on for rest of evening with a promise and he often wore it after evening shower after. In the evening in our remote street, we often went for night walks with a bright moon. Hubby used to pester me to wear a skirt, tight T-shirt and no bra to set "his" mood. so next moon I suggested we both walk in our long denim skirts and fitted T-shirt. It took some work, but he agreed, on a promise and followed many times since. One night he asked me to wear a pair of knee high lace up leather boots, 5" heel with 1" platform that he recently bought. They were fairly comfy once walked in. I found out where he got them and bought a pair for him, which fortunately went up to his size and on sale, just to teach him that I'm not his dumb model and if good for goose, good for gander. He was horrifed at thought and was blantant no, even promise trick didn't work. He was worried to be perceived gay, which was hardly the case. So lowing my standards with my last chance I said ok, I'll walk topless! For which I got a yes, so after some practice in house, off we went. For both of us it was such a sensual experience, that half way through he asked for a rest for his feet and we let nature take its course. which was a bit sticky for me on return trip. While the topless bit has only been repeated a few times, we do repeat our walks dressed the same often.

  15. It's funny. Men stare at my heels and don't say anything. women invariably pass comment. I've not really had any bad comments but I do find that the comments depend on what your wearing. If I wear my heels with a skirt and tights the looks usually say 'tart'. If I wear the same heels with jeans they usually go unnoticed.

Men say nothing, because they just frame that enjoyable picture for later. Treat it as a compliment, after all that whats it all about anyway.

(some) Women say tart because they are jealous or worried their Hub/BF will look at you and not them. Ignore them.

Give you an example of some of the local jealous pathiticness. A few weeks back local rag had a dear editor about one women saying another women who turned up to pick her kids from school in heels and summer dresses with makeup was just showing off. They claim she didn't work yet therefore had no reason to look so dressed up.

I mean can you believe this that someone would wright to the paper about some women who bothers to look nice!!! And yet knowing they didn't have a job so whats the point. When I heard this I actually asked some friends if I could pick up their kids, just to try and meet either the women of concern and support her by wearing my Sunday best or the bottom end of the cess pool and give them my 2c worth. Fortuatly (I think) my friends said no.

  16. Heelfan,

You've got it wrong. If you publish a picture of someones face without their consent, you are breaching privacy laws and can be prosecuted for it.

An example here is speed cameras. They don't take pictures when you're facing them. It's the same law.

Wanna Bet! I've got a nice one of the front of my 4x4 from the police and you can make out who was driving.

It depends on which country you are in and even sometimes state/province. I believe in Australia we have no laws making it illegal to photograph adults undertaking legal public activities provided they are not to be used for profit etc. Not sure how this applies to TV new footage where you have TV footage showing peoples faces. They even show faces behind windows in news stories.

  17. I have never had any negative comment when wearing heels with formal or business dress but I must admit on the odd occasion I have dressed a bit slutty with heels and have had negative comments from other women.

As my husband says, do women dress for themselves, their partners or other women?

Me, I used to dress for approval of other women, but now focus heavily on myself and husband. I think this really occured only after I had my breasts enhanced after breast feeding. D->F/G. But they were a E/F before, but there was a 5-6 gap when I was smaller and I really noticed the difference in attitude by some "friends" after. Also wore same clothes and heels but heard comments of me dressing "slutty".

    Regards

    Shane

  18. Recently on a Australian TV current affairs show that did a story on why some get promoted/hired over others. The below is not the only reason, but when all else was equal these factors kicked in. The sex of the boss had some bearing on below which favoured more or less, but the result was similar - Both sexes,Taller people tend to suceed more than shorter - Both sexes, More attractive over less attractive - Both sexes, older workers who look aged and tied due to aging such as those with lots of badly sun damaged skin are less likely to be employed - Both sexes, naturally very pale skin. They suggested a light spray on tan if looking for work will assist take the sickly pale look away - Both sexes, Reasonable weight range, especially in warmer climates where its harder to hide under layers and more phsyical jobs - Women, Light use of makeup, excessive looks cheap, but none makes you look flat against those who do - Women, bigger but not huge boobs. This one I thought male bosses, but even women bosses Personally I feel my heels may have helped, but mainly because its the overall confident look and maybe giving the extra height. Not because I turned up in high heels only. I've never heard my previously female boss say those heels look nice. But I have heard her say X should get some shoes she can actually walk in.

  19. Various 6-24mths. I don't have that many pairs. Maybe 12-15 shoes and sandles and a few boots and most get regular seasonal use.

However there are aways exceptions. Recently Hubby bought me a pair of these. I though not bad, yes its a cheaper shoe but felt ok and look good. I did two short walks with the dog at night to break them in and thought I was ready for an outing. Then we went out for half a day and I wore them and during a casual walk along the water front I heard a flapping sound. Got back to car and had a look and they are starting to fall apart in a big way. Bottom sole has completely let go under the arch, one heel has let go on the front part and other signs of failure. Hubby glued them up and I'll keep them for few light outings for hubby and I do like the look. But come winter they will be tossed.

  20. Was once set up on a blind date by a match maker befoe mobile phones. This guy was coming to town I was told was right for me (mmm). It was a country race day where we would meet and the guy sent me a pair of heels that were nice, a bit high but ok and a little bit different as a way to pick me out. He was into shoes and the third party knew what I was going to wear and size so passed it on. I was a bit shocked, but thought it was positive but we didn't hit it off.

  21. Heels and drivers seat don't really mix. Living in a right hand drive car country, its probably a little different, but still not the safest way to drive and avoid. Either I remove or hand the keys to someone else.
