  1. So, my main question is...

Does your partner/wife/girlfriend know you like wearing heels?

Yes I know and actually started him off. Probably is his big feet (M12) limit whats available alot. He actually loves my Doc Marten heeled boots and would love to have his own.

Your aviator, I would love to get him a pair like those.

Wat I don't like on guys is usually girlie, danty fine strappy big heels. I think more chunky heels in boots or pumps and not above 4-5" is fine for guys.

  2. Actually alot of time I ask him what he would like or he suggests before I get a chance, if it works why not. He's not the type to have me wear 6" to a beach. Some girls seem to be stuck up about wear things their guys ask or suggest, trust me as long as its reasonable for the occiasion, your relationship will be happy as the guys feel special wen you do and HB now and when first going out, I could notice the difference.

  3. Noo, as usual he cannot fit. But if he coul I wouln't care as long as not damage. We are friends of a couple who have same size feet as each other and they swap shoes all the time although I don't know if he wants to where heels. But I have been out with them when she was wearing a pair of heel'e doc martens or similar and on way home after long night she complained her feet were sore so they swaped and he dind't think twice about where a more girlie heeled boot, although it was black.

  4. Yep, rule of thumb, women can be real bitches to someone making an effort. My home uniform is a wrap dress and heels. Style, low cut, cami, sleeves etc depends on occasion. I normally wear dresses probably 50%, skirts, leggings, cut-offs jeans and pants in that order. My work uniform is a skirt suit. I frequently get positive comments about my appearance and while I know HB's eyes do roam, he's only doing whats natural and I know I get his attention most of the time. But jeese, can you see other women give you that look because you choose to go to the shops or supermarket looking pretty and if I can walk in 4" heels all day, why is it my problem? Larger cities are not so bad, smaller towns can be worse. Our local town a few years back had some bitch comments in local paper because some lady choose to pick up here kids wearing get this, "a summer dress, heels and make-up". I mean who writes to local paper about this? The idiot tried to back it up saying, "we know you don't work and its all your HB's money". I mean comon? My husband said to me a while back, that we are a couple, your appearance is obviously important to you and I certainly appreciate it, while what you spend is not waisted on things that get bought and never worn he doesn't care what I spend. Actually he spends more on me than me because I'm too tight. Don't worry about the usually overweight, short hair, don't get a rats lets pick on the pretty ones group. Just keep looking hot hot hot. 5. Always been into them, but Hubby grew my addiction. Initially he liked them but didn't say much, but then would drop hints, why don't you wear, I like those etc. He would also say if you want to wear high heels, we'll catch a cab or drive or we'll go here etc. He also stopped me wearing shoes that simply didn't fit or uncomfortable from start, which has worked because I can wear higher for longer and not get sore feet when in correct shoes.

  6. Dolly, you listed some very serious challenges to heel wearers. I really have to think about your list as they all seem to apply to me LOL. Stairs, especially steep staircases without hand rails present the biggest challenges to me.

In fact, I was giving a presentation at a very old museum one time. The staircase was long, windy, steep and it did not have a hand rail. I was wearing a white business skirt suit with white knee high boots that had 3" stiletto heels. With no one in the staircase, I took off my knee high boots. With them off, I realized that the thick grey wool socks and black pantyhose I had on underneath did not match my white skirt suit at all! I quickly grabbed my boots and went up the stairs as quickly as possible to avoid anyone seeing me. Once I arrived at the 3rd floor, I quickly put my boots back on.

Wouldn't be the first time shows have been removed for similar, I would have taken shoes off with or without people around. Much better than broken neck.

Have I removed shoes for poor footpaths, deep muddy grounds yep. Also been given a piggy back by hubby, not easy or elegate in a fitted dress.

  7. I have a proper pair of pony boots with the hoof like finish, HB bought them a few years back and I wore them to a country race day. As I walked across grass most of the time few people even noticed, sigh! The rest of the outfit was mainstream and noting eye catching. My friends when they finally noticed were amazed and loved them. Once on concrete they were fairly noisey though so going to the loo got a few eyes. I have worn them a few times since at HB's request. They are ok, but not for standing for long periods. Suzzie

  8. I think if he wear thicker heels that it be okay. I don't like most pictures I see of man in spiked heels. It dont look right for big man. If he's skinny spiked heels wont look as bad. I would only go out on a date with him if he was a nice person. The nicer, the more I would over look.

Agree, I encouraged my HB to wear block type heels, but stilletos are my turf.

  9. I have a pair of pleaser domina oxfords. They are quite high but dont look out of place at all. I wear them to work even sometimes.

Same, I normally only wear a skirt suit, but i have one black pin stripped pants suit that is fairly fitted and I wear the jacket closed with no visible under shirt. I bought a pair 5" oxfords with 0.5" platform which just finishes the sexy look. Even HB likes it and he normally hates me in pants.

  10. Hi,

An good type of startup boot is I think the Dr Marten Dee or Darcey boots. Darcey are the shorter shaft with many different colours and Dee a more mid calf of same stayle but limited to a few shinny colours.

At between $100-150 they are very comfortable, and don't scream girlie for their 3" heels. I have a few pairs, but my husband would love to have same but cannot due to top size being 11.
