Yup, I have to put up with the snow and slush up here in upstate NY. I have tried a lot of different things from boots to flats etc. I usualy end up wearing what I want for the day when I drive to work with my wife , I can make the walk from the parking lot to work , most of the time without getting to wet etc. Sometimes I just change into open toed slides (like my dr scholl sasys) or something else when I get to my office. And then change back when I leave. Wearing summer shoes inside durring the winter kinda makes you feel a little less depressed about the weather. But open toes suck when you go outside for a smoke! funny enough , most of the time I have trouble on floors of stores when I first go in ... you know the first 5 to 10 feet of wet crap on the floor , you have to get past ... for some reason I always almost slip there. the only time I ever did really slip in my heels was winter last year , outside , having a smoke ... wearing red pumps with ankle starp ..(nice shoes by the way) and was walking along while smoking and went right on my arse .... Not hurt but worse , was wintnessed by my smoking buddies ... who couldn't stop laughing ...oh well ... can't always be graceful can we?

Hello everyone , I just thought I would add some of my experiances about shoe stores and stuff. I Find a lot of great shoes at burlington myself and find the young girls there seem to be totaly cool with guys buying heels. One thing I will say is the word is out on burlington ... you have to get there at just the right time to find your size unless your a seven or something. I wear a 10. I try them on sometimes , it depends on the shoe. I was with a co-worker once and we were trying on a bunch of differant ones (funny ones , wacky colors) and having a blast But I LOVE shoe stores and shoe departments , it's pretty funny now , becuase when I am in a store with my family , my kids will try and keep me away from the shoe section (in a funny way) , they will be like ... oh no , there goes dad again , into the shoes! ... they know how hard it is to get me out of the shoe dept once I am in there. And of course I usualy find something I want. But I am running out of room for my shoes. So it's probably a good thing I don't buy everything I see! I would have no where to sit!

I prefer Tan over everything else , very natural looking. I also wear black , grey , blue , white and experiment with other colors.

Well , I guess for my worst reaction , it would be three young girls giggling when they saw my heels , I was wearing 3 1/2 " strappy sandles at the time , didn't bother me much thoguh. The best reaction was when I was wearing my 3 1/2 inch dr scholls (sassey) with a blue strap . There were tons of people around and nobody said much untill this girl of about 24 or 25 came over and said , oh my god , I love those shoes , I told her where I bought them and she just kept raving about how great I (they looked) , my wife had to pipe up and say how I owned tons of them and the girl just kept comming back to see again and again , obviously a big fan of guys in heels , but it was great!

That's great! I dunno if I could do 5.5 " heels all day! Most of the time I find it depends on the shoe. Thats great that you were able to help raise money for such a great cause! I do 4" or 4 1/2 " myself , sometimes 3 1/2 , I will have to try a higher hight after all ...
