Like most men here, its the pure pleasure of wearing the high heel that is the attraction. My wife has size 4 feet in heels and yes, does wear them for me but, she knows the immense pleasure being in heels gives me and often will select the shoe/boot depending on my mood to wear around the house. In all I now have about 30 pairs my lowest being 51\2" and highest 8"ballets. She is quite envious how high I can wear them and my ability to strut my stuff especially when she sets me tasks. woman are very clever because she knows that when I am in heels, especially the Ellie 6inchers she can get me to do anything and everything but yes, heels are a part of my life and that will never change.

Two months ago I ordered this style of shoe from 6IHF. After my initial order it went dead, no response much to my dismay as I really wanted that style especially as it was with the special arch, imagine, 71\2" heel and 11\2" platform with the special arch design. Then, last Thursday, out of the blue, email, shoes despatched..what the eck..my pulse is racing, wife will email me when box arrives. Will update you, any body else had a similar experience? If they are ok then I will get some 18cm Special arch sandals, no platform of course..nice. Some of the vids I have seen on yOutube featuring the speacial arch makes them look awesome, anybody got them and let me know if the arch is in fact as severe as it looks?

I agree, what competition, where, can anybody play?

I have two pairs of Ballet Boots, one knee high leather, lace up and the other ankle patent pvc also lace up but with locks. If you go onto 'You Tube' you can see me wlaking in them, my user name is 'pink flash'. I find the ballet boots eassier to walk in then some of the 71\2" boots and shoes I have and certainly far more comfortable to sleep in. Wife actually locks me into them and keeps the key. I also had a pair of Devious thigh highs but for ease of on/off the ankle and knee high ones are better. The leather ones I got from www.funkypairs.com and the ankle from Ebay, heelbuys site. Both pairs were very affordable and arrived within 10 days to the UK. I agree, support is vital which is why I will not buy the open shoes unless I get some purely for sitting and wearing to bed.

I would vote yes, love ultra high heels be they ballets or 7 inchers, none of my heels are below 6"

I have just ordered some in US12, I hope the heel is as high though I will doubt it. Would love to see some pictures of them.

I have several pairs of ballets, I take a UK 9 so get a Eu 43 or US11 F. I get the size I normally wear and its not let me down yet, they do tend to stretch in the toe very quickly with wear so will loosen up, remember the cotton wool though.Good luck, you are really starting young, nice to see.

If you search under www.youtube.com you will find 100s, enjoy

I have some, because I am a UK 9 I got them in US 12, nice fit but the heel measures 71\4". If you go to www.clips4sale.com/store/5162 or visit youtube and search 7" heels you will see soem of my vids. Enjoy like I did making them and yes, I can walk in them, love it.

Ableman Trading were in Hong Kong but closed many, many years ago, long before The Little Shoe Box in London who took over the making of specialist high heels, if you read some of the other write ups for their shoes they appear to have 'recreated' the Ableman name. I smell a rip off!!!

Yes, I find that the scream have a higher arch then the Mercys, I find the mercys no probs at all but the screams are actually quite superb, mind the sizing, they come one size bigger then the Ellies I have found.

If you go to http://stores.ebay.co.uk/skyhighshoes you will not be disappointed, they offer first class shoes and provide a 1st class service. Re Pierra Silba, I use to buy ALL my shoes from him but last year they put their postage rates up to a stupid amount for international buyers hence making it cheaper to buy from home.

Anyone want to meet in Leeds for heel talk etc Tues, Thurs or Fri of that week, perhaps visit shops, try on boots etc. I will be wearing my 5" knee boots beneath my jeans. Ian

I firmly believe in the policy that the customer is always right and that shops are there to sell. It's in the mind of the person buying what they think are embarrassing items that holds one back. It took me many years ti pluck up the courage to just go in and buy after all many woman wear men style shoes though these days they are titled 'unisex'. I know ladies boots are a whole new ball game but I have bought 3 pairs in the last month and tried them all on in the shops. I am in my 50s so have even more of a cultural gap if one was needed. Shops I used were Jade, River Island and Barca all at Leeds. Staff were very helpful and understanding. All my boots were knee high with 4" heels and very pointed toes. I take a size 8 which is nice for me. If you go onto my site and look in the files section under 'Street boots' you will see the ones I bought. At the time I was wearing my 5" knee boots with 1\2" platform sole. Most of teh staff commented on how nice my boots looked and how lucky I was to have such slim legs as all the boots I tried fitted me. So the moral of the story is, if you do not ask you do not get. Have fun guys, I did.

Only a couple of weeks to go now and I would really like to know how many are planning to attend the meet, so far I think there are possibly two. Can people who are planning to meet up please let me know for sure if this is the case so I can plan accordingly.

If you go to www,bananashoes.com you will see some 71\2" shoes and boots without a platform, they must rank as about the highest heel apart from ballet heels but I personally do not rate ballet heels as having an heel, to me an heel is when you have an arch with bent toes.

Hi Gary, Many thanks for the praise I also hope you liked my site. The boots I found on Ebay and believe it or not got them for a whole £10. They are all leather but no brand name just a style number and size on the inside boots top. They are a size 7, I take an 8 but forunately they are a large 7. Some how it makes them that bit more special being in a smaller size as the fit is though tight extremely rewarding and I have already spent many hours wearing them around Leeds and will do again.

Only a few weeks away from the 31st, how many people so far think that they can make the meet? I plan to wear my 5" knee boots with 1\2" platform. Will post my mobile number once I am much nearer the day so that theres no confusion over where we are meeting up.

People are right, its all down to practice, practice, practice. I started wearing high heels when I was 14 (4 inchers). Since then I have on and off been in heels. Over the last 6 years I have been able to indulge myself frequently and often spend an hour or two in shoes/boots with heels no lower then 61\2". I take a US11/UK9 in that heel height. If you go to me site www.groups.yahoo.com/group/dianahighheels you will see that I have several pairs of extreme heels, 71\2", these I can now walk in and stand with straight legs. Yes, my steps are very small, one cannot stride but walking around the house in them is indeed enjoyable. I can also walk in ballet heels but enjoy the bent toe and arch effect. Do NOT expect to master 7" heels over night, it just will not happen but little and often. A good trick I have found is that you start the session off in 5" heels, walkin them for abit, then put 6" heels on, again walk around, let your calfs get used to them before slipping on the 7" heels. stand straight up and well, small steps and concentrate on keeping your back and knees straight. Yes you will sweat, you will ache, least your legs and back but when it all comes together theres nothing sexier or more enjoyable then having mastered the ultimate heel. 7 inches of pure pleasure. Try wearing them to bed, that helps loosen the tendens at the back of the leg also gets your foot bones positioned in the arch. have fun, don't fret, it will come.

Well done, like you I was extremly nervous at first but now having spent two days in Leeds in my heels I am a far happier and relaxed man. Power to you and keep it up.

My most testing time was parking up in a layby in the country about a mile from a village. I put on a pair of Black 51\2" ankle strap courts and set off down this lane away from the village. I had walked about 200yards when I saw a woman and dog appear from the village directio, it was a Sunday afternood and before I got the confidence to street heel in public. Anyway, I was a good way ahead so carried on walking, my heels making the resounding tip tap as I teetered along, I had jeans on. She was walking quite fast and I also had to move to keep the distance! I came to a junction a good half mile from my car and turned left, moved as fast as I could to get further ahead then to my horror the dog appeared behind me, oh my god, she also had turned left. By now the soles of my feet were starting to burn and my heels really taking a beating so I went into a gateway. Fortunatley it was one of these little used. The grass was long and I just stood there looking out into the field (it was quite a nice view point) until she went passed. I then started to return to my car, now I was a good mile away. The return journey was even worse because on rounding the corner I bumped into a family group. My heart stopped, they looked and I walked, or teetered away. I am sure I heard one say 'Did you see what he had on?' By now I was past caring, removed my shoes and walked very quickly to my car. From this I learnt a very valuable couple of lessons. 1. Shoes bought without STEEL tips do not last two seconds on a hard road surface as in that two mile walk the heels were ruined. 2. When confronted do not escape or even attempt to, just be pleasant and even chat, they will be just as non-plussed as you but in fact you have the advantage because you KNOW what you are wearing and if you are bold enough will sail though. Its WHEN YOU run people take more notice and question what exactly you are up to. This I have found out from this and other experiences and now can confidently street heel with out any shame or embarrasement.
Bought new shoes... Not happy!

yes. I am like you, the sluttier and higher the better and even after getting what you think is right there is still that nagging thought, 'should I have got the boots as well' especially if they were in the shop as well. Flats never appeal to me though, must have at least a 4" or higher heel for street wear. I do wear ladies colour plimsoles out though, especially the Dunlop Pink Flash when in the mood.
