  1. I don't know if this counts, but I drive in simulators and games on my PC one of which is http://www.omnibussimulator.de/e-simulator.htm and I have a Logitech G25 game wheel (http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=project%20szczecin%20omsi&source=web&cd=2&ved=0CCUQtwIwAQ&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DXHYhQu4Pnho&ei=PuT8Tq-iHsWK8gOq1cmBDA&usg=AFQjCNGsq8Ykd-2f5FtWsk4N73XThXPm3w&cad=rja)(http://www.logitech.com/en-gb/441/131) , which has a mini gearstick (stick shift) and three lifesized pedals. Anyway, I spent most of today (about 3 hours) driving a manual gearbox bus around a fictional South American tropical city, and a representation of Szczecin in Poland (http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=project%20szczecin%20omsi&source=web&cd=2&ved=0CCUQtwIwAQ&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DXHYhQu4Pnho&ei=PuT8Tq-iHsWK8gOq1cmBDA&usg=AFQjCNGsq8Ykd-2f5FtWsk4N73XThXPm3w&cad=rja). I was wearing my new OMANO boots http://www.flickr.com/photos/leylandlynx, which I finally managed to stretch by sleeping in them all last night (I am going to sleep in them again tonight). They have 4" heels and the foot slipping off the clutch pedal was the only difficulty, other wise I speed along happily as usual. Lord willing, I will try racing in one of the Need For Speed games tomorrow (I have Shift and The Run), or maybe TDU2. I also played Euro Truck Simulator, but that only requires use of the left foot, lol. Sorry if I am boring you with my game-filled life!! :silly::smile::P:wave:

Edit: One more thing...I can hardly walk in these boots as the left boot is too tight, I hope it will stretch out so I can wear these out, but I couldn't even walk two steps in them today after I managed to pull the zipper on the left one up. (I could walk O.K. when the left wasn't zipped, but it felt like it would fall off or twist my ankle ;)) Any tips for stretching them? Wrong thread I know... Or does anyone know where I might get 4 to 6 inch heels in UK11 in a shop (not online - fed up with long waiting times/WYSINWYG) in Scotland preferably!!

  2. I think that the way many (not all) business type women walk in heels is a masculine way to walk - big strides, land on the heel very loudly, and walk quickly, legs straight - no centre line stuff, not much hip swinging, just marching along! That's how I walk in 3 inch heels, and how I intend to walk in 4 inch heels. No one has ever said I look feminine, only than my Cuban heels make a thunderous noise (I am quite heavy at over 17stone).

  3. I have to agree with you Histietto. I have no more difficulty driving in heels than in flats, and I drive a 5 speed manual.

I find it easier to drive in heels than flats - it makes it easier to drive fast :irked: I wear heels everywhere since I got them, but since they are men's heels, I do not really care who sees or hears them. When I get my OMANO boots - if they ever come, I might consider what people think, since they arent cowboy boots.

  4. 3in heel - the only high heels I own (cowboy boots)

Toe -pointy!/moderately pointy - IDK its kind of both/I don't really know what counts as fem.

Heel: block/other - cowboy boot walking/underslung heel its not a straight down block like a GoGo boot, nor is it a wedge as it is not linked to the sole

Sound: noisy is fine - if anyone complains they can stick it :irked:

Vis: showing at times- not hidden but not obvious - I wear my jeans long, but when I wear business trousers, or go to put the trash out in my pjs the heels show.

I don't know if I could do 5 in heels daily but I have hardly taken off my boots since I got them on Wednesday (slept in them on the first night, LOL).

  5. Lately, I have been dressing more femininely, although I am not, nor do I ever wish to be gay, or to crossdress (no offence intended =D). I wear big scarves slung across my shoulders, and bold colours and have long straight hair which is uncommon for black men. And now with my 3 in cowboy boots, and the 4in heel bootsI am still waiting for (OMANO....) I intend to be more androgenous, and to lose weight, LOL.

  6. My first public heeling experience was last Wednesday, when I collected my first high heel cowboy boots from the seller at a shopping centre in my home town. I put them on and walked confidently (but wobblily - haha new word) back to the taxi that brought me there, and the driver commented that my boots look really good and really expensive (got then for a good deal, haha only £50 for Samelis) and said "they have a bit of a heel" - I said real cowboy boots should, and he agreed. Then I walked around the supermarket getting my shopping from about an hour, enjoying the clack clack from the rubber/plastic heels (they are surprisingly noizy! =D). No one seemed to notice except maybe some kids that probably though wow that man is tall (I am 5'10" without heels and 6'1" with the 3 inch heels on)! I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and found that the heels gave me a better posture. The next time I went out in public with the heels was into town to get my new glasses from the opticians, and the first time I had walked to the bus stop from my house (I have severe asthma, so have not walked the just under 1 mile to the bus stop for over a year; but with the heels walking was sooooooooooooo much easier, and I felt no pain in my back and found it quite enjoyable, even standing waiting for the bus was fun. I managed the stairs in my flat quite well the first day even with heavy shopping to carry (I always buy the whole shop, lol) as the heels make my feet smaller so they can fit on the steps (my feet are size 11, and in normal cowboy boots the heel cannot rest fully on the step). I managed to get upstairs in the bus easily too, but coming down I sorta ran out of the bus cos I realized it was my stop too late (although it actually wasn't, well I could use either of two stops, lol). That was the only time people looked at me - I don't know if it was the noise of the heels or the general sight of a man almost falling down the stairs. LOL Then I walked to the Post Office then back to a computer shop in which I enquired about various things then bought something, then clacked back out. Then I walked to the opticians and no one seems to notice the heels peeking out from under my long jeans except maybe this old man sitting outside a pub/shop step. All in all a good experience. My next hurdle is to wear them to my work (if I get the job) or to college.

  7. I don't doubt you Pritske255.

I also understand that due to personal circumstances Gary had it is taking longer.

But that should not stop the person working on the boots making them.

I'm now wating 11 weeks and that is much longer than promised.

I also have to start every bit of communication myself there is no initiatief coming form him.

Lucky enough there are only boots and not a life saving item :)

Your experience is the same as mine except for the fact that I ordered mine a couple of days/weeks earlier! I'm just feed up of waiting!!!

  8. I'm sure there are several of us here who will be very interested to learn what you think of these Omano boots when they arrive, Leyland, and how you get on with wearing them - please do let us know. What size have you ordered? Do you intend to street-heel in them?

Size 11 and yes I intend to wear them to college 3 days a week.
  9. Sorry these didn't work out for you. The boots look comfortable and I think that is a boot I wouldn't mind wearing at work every day. The heel looks high, but not too high to not draw a lot of attention.

I agree, looks like a great shoe, I prefer blocky type heels cos if anyone criticizes, my answer is gonna be "so I'm wearing heels, so what, its not like Im wearing stilettos, they are just high cowboy boots"

  10. Of course they would.

I agree, besides, I really have not seen a young attractive girl in high heels since the time my ex wore these sexy stilettos to high school (and got told to take the off so they would poke holes in the lino!). Girls here just seem to like these stupid looking flat boots that look like slippers or ballet type flat shoes (pumps?). Only the women (30 ish and up) wear heels.

  11. I fit snuggly into a UK 8 and UK 9 has some room for those long nights. Size 8/9 allows the heel to be a bit larger than those with smaller feet. My girlfriend is jealous of the heel length.

At size 11 (also UK) I guess I could have 6 in heels if I wanted/could walk in them/afford them, but they just dont seem to exist! I wish my feet were a 9 or smaller, as there are many good heels in that size. I prefer cowboy boots and old style block heels, but in larger sizes stilettos seem to rule the roost, and I dont feel comfortable about looking so feminine and landing on my ass when the thin spike snaps under my 17 stones of weight :)

  12. As an asthmatic, I could not walk a mile in or out of any kind of shoes, without getting very out of breath, and having an asthma attack; however I recall as a child wearing 3-4in platforms/heels as dress-up at an activity centre for over 40 mins at a time, so although now I only wear 2in cowboy boots I should be able to manage higher. Now if only 5in heel cowboy boots were cheaper....

  13. I only have my 2in cowboy boots at the moment, but I want gogo boots with 3in heel and if I could afford them, these: http://www.westernranchboots.net/graphics/bettleheels.jpg, but I am afraid I wont be able to walk in the really high ones (I am prone to tripping on the 5+ inch kerbs we have here in the city centre :)) but I try to dress in a masculine, classic way. E.g. I wear a trilby and tie my ties like an ascot, or sometimes I have my shirt open quite low with a tie slung below it; and I always flare my collars out to look like the shirts of the 60s to 80s.

  14. I love the sound my 1.5-2 in cowboy boots make on the supermarket floor (yep, they do make a sound), and I find myself deliberately making the sound, by putting more force into my steps! Just as some of the other posters, I always turn to look at the sound of high heels, and just the other day at the supermarket I turned excepting to see high stillettos on the beautiful young girl that just walked past but it was 1.5 in old style heels on her gran/mum!!! Then a few minutes later a besuited gentlemen made even more noise in his leather 0.5 in normal mens shoes!!
