  1. They are made in China (surprise surprise) and they are leather, well the upper is anyway. I've only seen leather shoes by this brand. The also come with a nice cloth bag that you can store your shoes in. I thought it was a nice touch. Unfortunately they are not Michael Kors either, I checked those shoes and they are not the same. Thanks for looking! Jinxie

  2. Hey all, Have any of you heard of this brand before? It is just Michael, nothing else. They make a lovely high heel shoes. I came across them in Off Broadway Shoes and I have had absolutely no luck in locating them on the internet. I'm trying to see if they make a 5" heel without a platform. Any help is appreciated! :-? Thanks Jinxie

  3. I haven't snapped mine yet. I hope I don't, I'm quite fond of my lovely sandals! I've got two pairs of 5" heels. Those white sandals and a pair of black patent pumps. Both from the same company, The Highest Heel. They seem to work well for me. I wish Michael had 5" heels without a platform. I haven't found any yet, but then I haven't found anyplace that sells them online either. It is a shame. They are such a nicely made shoe. Jinxie

  4. Oh well.. I'll guess I'll have to speak of up for the ladies.. I don't have any problems with how the law is in the US. Pretty much as has been stated.. if your in public your out of luck, unless it is for comvercial use and then they have to get permission. If someone took pictures of me and put them up on the net.. Oh well. I don't like my picture taken in general so I'd be embarased, but would I pitch a fit, or think beyond that initial embarasment, nahh. No point. Though, if they were saying the nice things that folks tend to say about streetshots on here.. well that's another story. Jinxie

  5. Very cool! You must have looked stunning!!

Thank you very much jim! I don't know about how I looked, but I was certainly having alot of fun in them. My co workers were beside themselves over the fact that I was wearing such high heels. If I had to put one reason on why I like heels it would be for the attention. I'm not a very outgoing person, but I feel like I can do anything when I'm strolling about in those very high heels. Perhaps that is because of the type of comments I tend to get, either very complimentary or totally amazed that I can walk in that type of shoe. :-?

  6. Hehe, I have to relate a story about the height thing. I'm not tall, but I"m not short either at 5'6". I was wearing my 5" heels at work, I had just bought them on my lunch hour and shouldn't have been wearing them since they were open toes.. but it was only for a few hours and none of the managers were about so I figured I'd play :-? Well I'm standing in the lobby of the bank and these two guys are walking out. I hear one say to the other, "Man, did you see that tall girl?" and the other replies, "Oh yeah I did." The tone of his voice, to me, said that this 'girl' was something worth looking at. So I look about the lobby and I don't see women. I look again, puzzled. Who was he talking about? Then light dawned in the east *duh* it was me and my high heels. 5" makes me 5'10" and officially in the 'tall' catagory. What fun! Jinxie

  7. I've never had any problems wearing what I want to and the masses be damned *lol* But then I've not felt the need to go to the restroom in a flock since high school, and then I didn't do it often anyway. Normally that would happen when someone else would drag me off. *shrugs* I've always been a bit different from the norm and happily accepted that long ago. I'm probubly one of a handful of honor students who were head bangers in the late 80's early 90's. Conservative by day, wild child at night. TeeHee. Not too wild, I still had to function the next day though. I would, and still do, ocassionaly surprise people with my clothing. In fact I just did yesterday. I wore my 'vampire school girl' outfit to work. I had to substitue my normal skirt for a longer one but I came in with the tight white polo, pleated skirt, white tights, high heeled patent mary janes, slopily done tie, tatoo visible on my let, and some wild make-up and jewlery. No longer the mild mannered banker here *lol* I must admit, I do love the second takes. :-? Jinxie

  8. Forborkenvv:-)

Don't let that nutter put you off. Just take it in stride and continue to have fun street-heeling. No matter what he was shouting, he was probably drawing more attention to himself than to your footwear, although at the time you may have felt the opposite. Cheers---

Most definately! I work at a bank and whenever we have someone that has an 'episode' as I like to call them. The people who are witnesses are always sympathic to the person who has had to deal with the screamer. it doesn't matter if the person screaming is right, wrong, or sideways.. they always look like the idjit.

  9. Hehe, it hasn't been quickly. Not the weight part of it anyway. Actually I dropped 70lbs in a year, then when I got sick they stuck me on steroids and I gained 10 of it back. I'm working on kicking that 10lbs again, then I'll go at the last 30. Likely it is going to take me a good year for this last bit. It has been a struggle. I did the 70 on the Weight Watchers program. Now I'm actually following a very natural diet. A combo of WW's new core plan and my own desires to avoid eating anything that has chemicals in it. If I cannot read it, I'm not eating it! The best part about the 'natural' diet is that I feel so much better, I didn't realise it until I went on vacation this past week and didn't cook at all and ate pretty much whatever I wished. Ugh, bad idea. I was so run down and awful feeling by the end of the week. The only change was my diet, sleep and stuff was normal. :-/ Had to be the food! Scotty has a thread on the board somewhere about looseing weight as well. I wish I could remember where it was. His is more a diary of how he did it week by week. Very interesting! You are very welcome! And thank you! Jinxie

  10. Breaded and fried cheese sticks are quite common in the US. If you do a search on the net for mozerella (? spelling) sticks you likely can find a recipie. You can either do them in a deep fryer or bake them in the oven. Either way you have to watch them very closely as they are apt to leak out the cheese past the coating if you overcook them. There is an art to it! Jinxie

  11. I do hope you continue to do "Lucy's" stories. I always look forward to the next instalment. It is exciting! I always have taken most things I find on the net to be more fiction than fact, so it doesn't bother me in the least to find out that Lucy is a creation, not real. The interesting part is to find out that several of these things did happen, just to different people. You do paint a wonderful picture of what it must have been like to live then, and that is most of the charm for the stories for me anyway. The rest is just bonus! Jinxie

  12. Yes there is a website.. www.offbroadwayshoes.com Unfortunately they do not sell shoes there, it is simply to showcase the brick and mortar store. The only drawback, which for some wouldn't be a drawback, is that the store is so big that it is easy to get lost in for the sales staff. Which is nice cause noone is bugging you, but if you have a question you have to find someone. Everyone was _very_ helpful, but you did have to look for people.

  13. OoooO I had the most wonderful shoe experiance the other night. I've been wanting to go to this new shoe store that just went into a local strip mall. As you can guess from the subject, it is called Off Broadway Shoes. I finally made it over to that end of town a few nights ago... Oh my! I walked a few steps into the store and just looked about. To my right was a small section for men's shoes and sneakers. Then, to my left.. rows and rows of shoes. The store itself was huge, kinda like walking into a Carnival shoes or something like that, but bigger, and more open. Shoes as far as the eye could see. I just stood their, my husband looking at me oddly. The only thing that came to mind was that I'd found shoe heaven! As my husband put it, 1/6th of the store was for men, the rest for woman, and over half of the womans section was high heels! I hit the clearance section first, like any good shopper! I had to decide between a pair of 4 inch blue suede mules, a pair of 4 inch white patent O'dorsay (? spelling) styled shoes, and a pair of 5 inch red leather pumps that had a black patent heel with a one inch platform and a peep toe (4 inch net heel). I'm not normally one for platforms. But these were done nicely with the platform being black patent like the heel. I grabbed those up then we found hubby a pair of sneakers to replace his old ones. Then I had to browse the rest of the store. I found Steve Madden, Chinese Laundry, Two Lips, Mudd, and many many other brands. Stilettos, slingbacks, pumps, mary janes, t-straps.. You name it they had it. Guys, they even had a selection of sizes up to either 11 or 12.. I cannot remember which. It depended alot on the brand I did notice that. Even the small sizes like 5 and 6 were well represented. Soooo.. if you have one of these stores in your area and haven't been.. you need too! Jinxie who is still in shoe heaven, and cannot wait to go back!

  14. I don't understand the boyish look for females myself. But then I'm likely to be rather prejudiced in that area. I don't care how much weight I loose I will never be able to gain that look. I was built for having children *lol* Very rubenesque. I definately find that curves are more attactive on a woman than the stick straight figure. We were ment to be curvy, or we would have been born guys! :-? Jinxie

  15. Hey all, I'm refreshing this thread since I just got my clean bill of health. Whoot! I should be at 100% soon. I picked up a virus (Parvo of all things if you didn't see my other post.) and am now on the road to recovery. I should have my new corset about Nov 6th. It is going to be a lovely royal purple underbust corset from wasp creations. I'll see if I can figure out how to post a picture once I get it in. Unfortunately I've discovered with my.. lesse.. 4 month hiatus from wearing any but low (2 inches and under) heels I have taken some serious steps backwards in my quest on wearing ballet heels and higher high heels in general. So for now I've got some new 3 inch heels to wear to work every day. My winter shoe wardrobe *lol* That's going easily, so I need to graduate up to 4 inches for work here shortly and alternate days I think. I've got my eye on a pair from Chinese Laundry called Spicey. I got the chance to try them on the other day and they are lovely. I'm also working on my general fitness and the Dr's have me doing some exercises for my knees as that is still the one place where I continue to have problems. Seems I have too much movement in my knees *boggle* I thought being flexible is good, but I guess in hips it is ok but knees it isn't. Go figure. Unless something else happens I'll post here when I get my corset. a 26 inch waist. *sigh* I can hardly wait. It is amazing since when I started the corset thing my natural waist was a 37. Between corseting and looseing weight my natural is down to a 33 and I can wear a corset down to 28 inches. Eventually I want to get it down to 20 inches. It is a doable goal I think! Ciao Jinxie

  16. Thank you Jeff! I'm not sure about the incentive or not though. I would imagine it would be, but unfortunately you cannot just quit eating, I think emotional eating is one of the hardest habits to break. Also, thank you for asking about my recent problems. I actually just got back from the Dr's. Turns out I caught, of all things, Parvo. (I didn't think I was a dog.. Woof?) It mimics Rumatoid Arthritis but I'm on the downside of it now. *whew* They were thinking Lupus and everything else there for a while. SoOoOoo.. with my mostly clean bill of health things are heading back to where they were before this whole mess started. I should be at 100% soon! JinxieKat

  17. Small schmall. I don't judge a woman's attractiveness by her size. To be honest though, my preference would be for Mia Tyler over Liv. Love those curves!

    Chris

Oooo Curves.. How about Catherine (or is it with a K?) Zeta Jones.. now those are some dangerous curves. Seeing her in Entrapment doing that deal with the infrared stuff.. MEOW! She can strut in heels too, very nicely.

  18. For him? If so, cool.

    Has he browsed this website?

Yes for him and no he has not been to the website. He's not much on email or message boards so there isn't any point in sending him this direction. I know that he'll end up with a pair with a very conservative heel if any at all, which will be a shame, he has great legs, but it will be a start. I don't ever see him doing pumps, but I may manage a nice 3 inch block heel on a pair of thigh highs if I do this right. *purr*

  19. Actually Jeff I haven't injured myself but I may have a muscular disease that for the moment has put things on hold. I'm slowly working back into wearing heels after not wearing them at all over the last 4 weeks. It's been rather depressing to say the least, the worst part being the BLEEPity BLEEP doctor who has had my test results for three weeks but has been 'very busy' and hasn't gotten back to me. Oi, I haven't even met this specialist yet and I'm going to find another if at all possible since I didn't hear from him again today. The corset work has been fine, I need a new one badly, I altered my old one, taking it in about three inches I think, haven't measured it really, but I am able to fully close it now as well. I'll have to take a tape measure to it. I do know that my natural waist has changed from a 37 to a 33 thanks to both corset and diet. I'm just on status quo right now, medicine sucks. Ahh well! Things will get better! :D Jinxie

  20. It all depends on my mood, I don't go too extreme simply because I don't want to hurt myself. However I did wear 5 inch heels to work far before I should simply because I wanted too. Man was I in pain at the end of _that_ day heh. I did bring other shoes, but I'm a stubborn cuss at times and refused to take them off. Oh well, it is part of the fun oddly enough. I loved the attention. Jinxie

  21. My husband and I use high heels to enhance our Dom/sub relationship. Until recently I was to only wear high heels, they didn't have to be towering, though if we were going out somewhere together it was expected as to enhance my appearance. At work I could wear whatever I wished and at home most of the time I could choose except when he had something in mind :D If you want to talk in more detail just PM me, I don't want to detailed as it isn't everyone's 'thing'.
