Hi JaBe,
I bought these at Big Shoe, Leliegracht in Amsterdam.
The picture is from a German large shoes store http://www.schuh-kauffmann.de/
Both stores have shoes and boots larger than size 42
Perhaps these ? I have size 9 1/2 (43/44) for the boots in the first picture.

Nice boots for stepping out in Amsterdam, Manus.
A few weeks ago I wore these
and nobody said anything, even when I stood still in the busiest street (Kalverstraat), eating an icecream with the shoes of the boots with the heels plainly visible.

I like the (black) boots in your first picture too Manus. I'm looking also for them in size 44, 10UK Robert

I saw an article in the English newspaper The Sun today about Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice)

Yes, I've seen her JayZee! Her name is Andrea, I hope it is her real name. The first picture is taken at a biker party, the second at the Muengstener bridge, the third and fourth at a riverside promenade. She is from Germany indeed. And the website....take a look at a site called Flash in Public, the name says it all Robert

Dawn HH,
Thank you for pointing me out that the boots were not blue but purple.
Still they look great on Youngwolf.
Recently I've bought a pair of ankleboots at BigShoes in Italy because I have size 9.5 - 10 UK or 11.5 - 12 US, also in a conspicuous colour and I wanted to know how Youngwolf dress himself when he go out in public.
These are my new boots with 2 1/2 inch heels for comparison.

Hi Youngwolf, You look good in those blue boots! Robert

I notice the same as Daz, that with a larger size the dimensions of the heel stays the same. So a blockheel on a size 5 or 6 UK looks more proportional than a size 10 UK.
That reminds me the table given in Arno's post could also be valid for "heel widths for blockheels". Of course with other values and calculations.
I don't think it will look silly, it's just in proportion.

Hi Docs41,
I like wedges too, sandals, boots, even pumps with wedges.
These are from Faith , they come in different colours.

Wow! They look great! Wide toebox! Are you going to wear these outside? What about the colour, What are you going to wear with them? And in what colours? Robert

Thank you Azraelle for your clothing advise. I notice the colours red and purple (and their shades) are best with these boots. That reminds me, I have a T shirt in a purple colour, that would be great for coming summer. Thank you Firefox for your advise. After going with the summery colours I can still dye them with similar shoe-dye from the local shoemaker. I think if I use a permanent marker, the black is wearing away because of the trousers. Well, I have to experiment with that. Thanks again both. Robert

Dr. Shoe, Thank you very much for your advise for using a permanent marker pen for colouring the boots. I've something to do the coming days. Azraelle, I'm for the darker look for shoes and boots myself, as - so they say - anything goes with the dark colours. What would you wear with these boots and in what colours? Regards, Robert

Hi,
I've ordered a pair of ankle boots from http://www.bigshoes.it/en/default.asp and they fit well.
I want to dye this boot in a dark colour.
They are made of man made material, the exterior is snake like printed, the lining is transpiring fabric (as they stated, it feels like rubber with a fabric) and they are stretchy.
Do I have to grind them after I had put lot of paper in them to stretch the pleats?
What kind of paint do I have to use?
Thank you in advance

I saw a woman this morning in Rotterdam walking to the tram-station. She was a young Chinese woman wearing pink (!) wedge boots (!) I think they were around 4 inch high. I was with my colleague in the car, he kept his eyes on the road and I kept my eyes on the boots

Great boots Daz!

Here are some quotes from her about shoes: "I have a love for shoes. I collect them. Race cars, paintings; those aren't my thing. I just hang shoes on the wall. They're architecture, you know?" "Each song has a little soul, a little persona, it's own little birth certificate and favorite shoe shops." "It gives you a real 'warrior woman' kind of stance because you gain 5 or 6 inches." About the Steve Madden shoe designed to benefit R.A.I.N.N. "I'm sure Dolly Parton has me beat, but that's a whole 'another thing." About her huge shoe collection "I'm into knits when I'm home. To play onstage, I have to be put into a shield, some kind of contained thing. If I performed in a knit sweater, my playing would be sloppy. I always play in heels; it gives me more support." "I love being in a skirt and boots. It goes back to the librarian-principal look. I like the idea of carrying books around in a skirt." "May all your lives be blessed with shoes."

I don't like flip flops either.
They are indeed called Ha.
Maybe one can glue some rubber under the ha to reduce the noise.
Interesting footwear though.
