  1. Hi Thighboots, Hope you don't mind me saying this, but it's not too late to 'come clean'. You would need to be diplomatic, and maybe not tell your partner the whole story, just yet - break the news gently, then over a period of time slowly admit a bit more. Honesty really is the best policy. I know, I hid my fondness for heels, it hurt me and eventually when I did come clean, it hurt my wife too. We're ok now, but it was a problem, she's still not too impressed, but is ok with me in heels at rock concerts etc. Good luck.

  2. Whilst the Mrs Puma & I were having a night out in Leeds, at the O2 Academy on Saturday night, we saw a man wearing thigh high boots with a 5" heel. Mrs Puma actually spoke the man who told her that she needed some boots just like his! Lol. I wonder if it was anyone on here?

  3. I too like the look of trousers or jeans that are long enough to cover the heel. It is a look that I copy myself. Infact, I have many pairs of trousers in different leg widths and lengths that give me different looks, from showing most of the heel, to practically almost touching the floor hiding most of the heel and some that are wide enough to hide the whole of the foot/shoe/boot or whatever. I wear heels (when I get the chance!) for me, not to show them off, or for others to see, but because of the feeling of the raised arch of my feet, how they feel to walk in and how they look to me - selfish? Maybe? Nearly all my trousers and jeans were primarily made for women, but they're not women's trousers - they are mine!.....just like my footwear!

  4. will still have brown based hair and colours

Mrs Puma has been trying to persuade me to colour my hair to cover the age defining silver/grey new growth, particularly at the sides and front! Lol.

I already have a sort of androgynous long hair style, but the thought of colouring it sort of makes it a little more feminine in my mind. Am I wrong?

I know for a fact, a couple of males at my workplace who have coloured their hair, and they have been derided for it, not by me I must add.

The male/female divide is here again, it's ok for women to colour their hair, and they often complement each other on their 'new' hair colour etc, but there isn't the same appreciation of individual style amongst males, why is this?

In a way, it's almost the same as our stance on footwear choice.

As I write this, I think I may have just persuaded myself to let Mrs Puma colour my hair! Lol.

  5. For what it's worth, I'd just like to add my opinion in support of Tech's editing! The reason being, my ever so tiny contribution and membership to this forum is based on my appreciation and liking of wearing high heels as an everyday, heterosexual male, who wishes to have the same footwear choices as our female counterparts. It's a difficult enough job trying to persuade Mrs Puma that my interest in heels is not based on any fetishistic appearance or sexual desire, so having pictures of men in 'normal' male mode clothing sort of helps (albeit in a very small way) to show that men can, and do look perfectly acceptable to the sceptical people such as Mrs Puma! I don't wish to be controversial or critical of anybody else's reasons for their footwear or clothing choices, infact I do admire the people who push the boundaries, but we are all different and it's each to their own, live and let live etc.

  6. Happy New Year everyone. Our New Years Eve was spent in Manchester, we went for a nice Chinese meal and then onto Jilly's rock night club and then stayed over in a hotel. Besides me being in heels, the only other male in heels that I saw, was in the restaurant. I don't think anyone even notice my 4" heeled boots, although when standing only about 1"-2" or so of the heel was showing, so if they did, no-one passed comment either critical or otherwise.

  7. I agree about the labels on the sole of shoes & boots etc. But, I think my number one pet hate has to be the smell of cigarette smoke! Also, cars being driven with their 'fog' lights on, when it's not foggy, falling snow or reduced visibility! I also hate to see 'lane hoggers' on the motorways and dual carriageways!! I can feel my blood pressure rising just thinking about all this!

  8. 100% agree. I've posted something similar before, as to why I like to wear heels, and the reasons are not in the slightest bit sexual or fetish! Lol. The appearance, the style, and even the comfort of a raised heel are my main reasons for wearing heels............just wish I wore them more often!

  9. If I remember correctly, on the safety instruction card on a flight I was on, it stated 'in an emergency evacuation etc'.......'ladies must remove their high heels'. So, it's ok for us men to keep our heels on! Sorry, potentially bad taste, but it's true.

  10. Now this is really going to show I'm sat on the fence on this one.......

I read Thighbootguy's post and thought "yeah, you're right".

Then I read Tech's post, and thought "yeah, you're right too!"

Wouldn't it be simple IF we lived in a perfect, tolerant world! But, as we don't there isn't a simple solution to what are in reality, basic personal problems, or 'hang-ups'.

I'd guess that as a social group of people who populate this forum, that not many, if any at all, have a problem with rmaciej1983's attire - it's certainly not a look I'd pick for myself, but I certainly do not have a problem with it.

How many people outside of this forum would have a problem with that kind of style? Probably less than we imagine.

Now that goes back to how we feel in ourselves, our nervousness about how we are perceived by others as being 'outside the norm'.

A human trait, is to please others, to 'fit in' with others......but why should we?

I'm waffling, I don't have an answer, but I'd guess a high percentage of us lead some sort of compromise in our footwear choices, I definitely do, and that is to 'fit in' with family, friends, environment etc. Heels just aren't an option sometimes.

I'm sorry my post isn't really constructive, but I think it says what I wish to convey.

  11. ...thedesigner.....I really like your choices. The Cult - "She Sells Sanctuary" is one of my all time, if not my all time favourite track! Here are more of my favourites, but not in any particular order..... Stiff Little Fingers The Alarm AC/DC Aerosmith Green Day Oasis Beatles The Who Best ever concert I've been to, was at Wembly in 1986 - INXS, The Alarm, Status Quo and Queen. RIP Freddie.

  12. For many years now I've been wearing trousers and jeans that were purchased from 'womens' stores and shops. I always get either the bootcut or flared leg versions, and I buy them in a variety of lengths to suit all occasions, ie some are longer length for complete stealth mode when wearing heels, and some are a suitable length for when I'm wearing trainers/flat shoes etc. I do find the cut and fit much more comfortable, and often the prices are more reasonable too. One thing that sometimes bothers me, is which side the zip closure is on. Mostly womens trousers close to the left, which obviously defines them as 'womens', but even when I have worn such trousers in formal situations, no one has ever noticed, but sometimes I still feel conscious about it. However, there are also some manufacturers/stores that sell 'womens' trousers/jeans with the closure to the right, Miss Sixty and GAP spring to mind. Some of the 'flared' trousers and jeans are wide enough to cover the whole shoe, which makes them also obviously 'womens' as it's virtually impossible to find such trousers in 'mens' stores. But like our choice in footwear, why should trousers etc be gender specific? Oh one other thing, I never ever get that certain disapproving look from my wife when I have even the most obviously looking 'womens' trousers on! Wish it was the same when I wear heels!

  13. Absolutely! That is the social culture we live in today - blame someone else and screw 'em for some money! There very well maybe too many laws already, but some people will live outside of reasonable behaviour which usually means affecting innocent people, if not 'guided' by some law or other. It is a shame, but that is another reflection of society.

  14. £10 is far too cheap. It should be the same as applying for a Passport.....£72, or even a driving licence, which now costs £45 for the Provisional licence, and then another £45 for a full licence once you've passed the driving test. Even a gun, which arguably can also be harmful to someone's health, requires a gun licence to facilitate a purchase, cost £50. In all seriousness, in any of the above examples I don't think the costs involved are a deterrent, but revenue builders and help to keep some people in jobs!

  15. Personally, I like & wear heels because for one, they look a whole lot more attractive than regular men's footwear, and I also like the feeling of the raised ankle compared to the ball of the foot area. No fight/rebellion against society norms or fetish feelings here!
