  1. I am seriously impressed with her choice of footwear. Those are a double plat (you can see by the seam) and they are VERY sexy and chic!

My hats off to her, seeing as that she's a very short woman.

Stand tall and stand proud in those heels Kate! I'm in love sigggghhhh.

There were some great heels at the golden globes. Kate Hudson has some particularly high platforms, something that would have been considered fetish stripper shoes not many years back!

It has to be said, she is particularly attractive!

  2. When you said erotic art, I assumed you were referring to drawings, paintings, computer-generated art, but I guess photography can be classified the same. I agree that we could use more of this subject matter here. I am a 3D artist and I have a portfolio on the web that showcases my work. I can either post some of the pieces here or just post links which may be a good suggestion for you too.

  3. I've noticed that too with some shoes. The larger the size, the higher the heel gets. As a rule of thumb that I tend to follow when purchasing heels by heel height, that most, if not all shoes' heel heights are based on a size 6. I am not sure what the ratio of heel height increases at for each size up, but if you see a shoe advertised as say, a 5 inch heel and you wear a size 11, you'll may befortunate enough to get a shoe with a 5.5 inch to 6 inch heel.

Remember though, not ALL shoe manufacturers do this. The THBs I bought the other day were advertised with a 5 inch heel and that's what I got in a size 11 so I can only assume the boot's foot size was lengthened but maintained the same angle in the arch.

I recently purchased a Mossimo shoe, size 11, that advertises a 3 1/4 heel. The size 11 measures, no joke, 4.5" exactly.

Now, when I measure the heel, I measure all the way up to the seam at the back of the shoe where the heel stops. But, I measured "just" the heel (where the heel meets the sole of the shoe) and it did measure just over 3". I wonder if that's how they're measuring them, perhaps?

Probably not, but just a thought.

  4. I have found that both can be very sexy. My pumps have a somewhat rounded toe but that being due to the concealed platform and as for my new THBs they have a rounded toe as well, but both are very comfortable and I think it's due to the rounding in the toebox. I've worn pointed heels in the past and they do tend to squish the toes a little more which equates to less time wearing and more time massaging the sore toes. As for the look...I much prefer pointed toed shoes on men and women but for wearing, personally, I like something that's comfy all around.

  5. Taking into consideration that these days, shoe fashion has reverted back to the days of platforms, and I know it's mainly do to the fact that foot doctors have been screaming to the shoe industry about making heels too high (which is a crock imo). Compromise being the best policy, more and more manufacturers are able to go back and design higher heels but with the plat...still very fashionable but at the same time, not killing the feet. With that said, the question of how high is high can be answered a little more liberally. It used to be that wearing 5" heels meant major pain later on while having sexy legs was the sacrifice every woman (and man) wanted. Those heights were considered high, but now have become the norm. i've been shoe shopping for a long time now and have noticed the trends ascend and descend when it came to heel heights. 3" heels were normal, 4 inches were daring, and five and above meant you walking the streets for money (joke there). These days, 4 and 5 inch is normal, with a plat of course due to the designer trend and then we go up from there and even some designers (like YSL and Christian Louboutin) feel that 5 1/2 and 6 inch heels can be ultra sexy, with a plat andmake every woman (and man) drool with desire. Sorry for the long winded remarks but it boils down to my point being that imo, and taking into consideration the fashion these days, 5 inches is normal, not high. When I see a 6 inch and above heel, that is taking your life into your own hands, but if you're are careful and throw caution to the wind, you will turn everyone's heads...kinda like what I do. Jamie

  6. I decided to venture out this morning on a wonderfully sun-filled California day. I thought I would investigate some shoe stores in the area, preferably places that weren't too far away and I found The Block, which is an outdoor Mills-style mall. What drew me in was the amount of shoe stores, like Off Broadway Shoes, Bakers Shoes, Wild pair. I got there early, had my Starbucks and strolled around before the stores opened. I went into Wet Seal to check out some fashion, since I good oufit always compliments the shoes, but they didn't have what I was looking for, despite being greeted by a very beautiful young woman who helped me out more than normal. I left there and decided to check out Off Broadway Shoes. I've been the their store before back in Virgina and I knew they had a wide selection of shoes, but I was unsure how large their shoes would go, as I am typically a size 10 women's. Well once again, I was greeted by a ravenously beautiful young woman who asked if I was looking for anything in particular. Of course, being a guy and telling her I was looking for a hot pair of boots for my collection, I "twisted" the story and told her I was looking for a unique pair of boots for the wife's b-day. She showed me around at their selection of boots, asked what she typically wore for heel heights, her style preference, shaft length of the boot and lastly, her size. This gal was soooo helpful in asking all the right questions, not to mention that she showed me what SHE liked (did I mention she was hot??). Anywho, I digress. the first pair she showed me was a pair of Diba Shoes THB. They have a 5" inch heel with a 1" plat and are pleather. Definitely added these to my mental list. The next couple of pairs where just as nice, but in a knee high and around a 4" heel. She pretty much showed me everything, including their wide array of ankle boots (those are my second favorites to wear). Ultimately, I went for the Diba's and actually found one pair left in a size 11, which I knew would be more comfortable and would fit my feet better (no squishies of the toes). So, they retailed for $120 (Diba's website has them for $99), but this place had them on sale for $70...my jaw dropped, I snatched them up and paid the nice ladies at the counter (do they purposely hire hot looking women to work at these places???) lol Well I got back to my place, pulled them from the box, only to realize these were TRUE THBs, in fact, if I were a little shorter legged, they would be crotch high. They have an upper flap that is typically worn folded, but to pull them all the way up, they about cover my legs. Putting them on was pretty easy as they have a full-length inner zipper. They feel a bit tight around my legs right now, so it'll be fun breaking them in. I am still amazed on how well they fit and the price I paid. I would have to admit that these are a dream boot for me and will be enjoyable each day I wear them. I will try to get pics of them by themselves and with them on. I definitely want to share this experience. :pulsingheart: Jamie

  7. Wow cool. I live in the Glendale/Peoria area. Right now, I am on assignment in southern Cali for a few weeks. nice to meet you. Btw, that pic is BEAUTIFUL!!! Cool, two peeps in Mesa??? We may just have to hook up! Nice to meet you all, and I really really appreciate the warm welcome and wishes. You all have brought an even bigger smile to my face. Was a good day today. Gawd, what I wouldn't give to slip a pair of those shoes on my feet. Still scouring the net for a discount or even a comparable style which both bewitching and naughty. :pulsingheart: Thank you thank you thank you!!!!! If the admins don't mind, I wanted to pitch my blog which dicusses that can of worms I spoke of. No pics yet, just text, but I am sure it's enlightening enough to find out more about little old me. Thanks to one and all for the opportunity to be a part of a great group of folks. :) <3

  8. Just joined, first time poster here from AZ. Hope I found the right place as I have a serious love for everything female, including a sexy pair of heels. :pulsingheart: I'm 38, but won't specify male or female due to that being a whole other can of worms, but if it makes you feel better, i was born male. Hehe I recently acquired a sexy pair of heels from Shiek Shoes, their called Laura, with 5 inch heels and a 1 inch platform, which makes them very comfy to walk around in. I just recently found the covered platform look to be to my liking and I see more and more of them on women so I thought I'd give them a try. I am glad I did so now I too can share in the love. My dream shoe is either a pair of Christian Louboutins or YSLs (more specifically the Tribute pump) as these are imo, the sexiest heels made...it's just the price is a little steep for me, despite my wicked desire to own them. Anywho, intros aside, I hope I can network with others like me and share in our love of sexy high heels. Thanks for the attention and space to write! Love, Jamie:wave:
