Ok, here are my two lastest purchases, Yay! This is my first post with attached pics, so hope it works. Your basic Black 5 inch pumps and Black 5 inch open toe with a chrome heel. Opinions please. I ordered them online and didn't know that the heel was chromed, and I kinda wish the heel was black and I'm considering a paint job. Next post will be " how do I repaint my heel?"

Good subject. If you think about it, every member here is looking for acceptance whether they publicly heel, still hide it or are in between like me. I know I feel somehow better since joining hhplace, knowing that my deep, unending enjoyment of wearing "women's" high heeled shoes and boots is shared by others. It does feel good to not be alone. And anyone that thinks this love of heels by men means we must be gay or have a screw loose is just ignorant and their opinion doesn't matter. I totally agree that we should just be ourselves and wear what we want. If you don't act like yourself, who are you, a clone, a follower, a product of how you view society? I know that I don't need everyones approval, but it is nice to come here with like minded individuals and not be judged by what I have on my feet(5 inch black pumps), or that my legs are shaved, or that my toe nails are painted(blue)

Dblair, good for you, well done. Honesty does pay off occasionally, I am so envious. Tell your gf how we all liked hearing of her open minded, adventurous nature. Now we'll need pics of you both of course.

Welcome. I am new here too but I am not new to heeling. I feel your pain as I too feel I have to keep my true self hidden from my friends. When I venture out in heels it has to be far from home cause I know alot of people. Be warned that its addicting, I love high heels and won't ever quit and I get braver every day. Fear is all in your mind. We might both be surprised by our friends reactions but its alot to risk I know. Some here are really open heelers, some are partially open like me, and some just stay happily in the closet. This is really a great place for us all and you can be totally open here and I believe almost, if not all of us are straight. You have come to the right place. I have gotten all of my heels online and you should try that. If you check out my blog or album in the gallery, you'll see I have some awesome heels and my black leather knee high boots are the most expensive I have but were still under 50 bucks. None came from e-bay either. Be patient looking online and don't forget clearance sales at target and other stores. Heeling doesn't have to be expensive but it sure could be. Sometimes I can't believe what people are willing to pay for shoes, but buying and wearing heels doesn't have to break the bank. Good luck on getting your first pair of heels. I started with 3 inch sandals and now I prefer 5 inch and want to get 6 inch heels next.

You're a brave and lucky man. I am such a coward I have obtained all of my heels online. What a great fiancee you have and I love the pumps and boots you got. Remember to show you're appreciation to you're fiancee? Next will be pics of you out and about in your new heels right?

Im on the fence with that one. On one hand, I have pictures of Al Bundy in my head ( FYI-American tv sitcom shoe salesman). On the other hand, I'd love seeing heels all day and I would definitely abuse the employee discount.

I'm sure that us men buying and wearing women's heels has made an impact on their sales tracking figures. Many more larger sizes are flying off the store shelves across the world ( I know I have to buy womens size 11 ) and they might be incorrectly thinking that it must be due to women's feet getting bigger. And really, its us guys fault. Sorry girls, I think you're feet are as tiny and beautiful as ever (especially in heels)

OMG, I can't imagine life without heels on my feet and in my closet. It is part of me and I love that part of me and I won't ever try to change that(I did purge once and was so unhappy, and lost some nice shoes too). I would rather try to change the publics view of men in heels if that's possible. If I were able(more brave) I'd wear heels as often as possible. Love it and won't give it up no way I wonder who here would give it up. I feel even better since joining all the other heel lovers here. You are all great people and I pat you all on the back. Thanks, no I actually never wear hose with the slingbacks. My toes weren't painted and I was kinda rushing to post some pics. After painting I'll post pics again. Thanks again and have a happy new year :^)

Ok, I have the sexiest pair of 5" black/red slingbacks(see my blog) I love the way they look and feel. The sling is elastic not a strap. My question is, are they supposed to flop up and down in the back as you walk cause it kind of bugs me and walking is more difficult than in pumps and boots. I love the clap of the shoe heels hitting the floor but I don't really like the slap of my heel going up and down in the shoe with every step. I really have never even seen a woman wearing slingbacks in person. Its kinda sad, but where I live, not many women even wear nice heels. They don't know what they are missing. I prefer the secure feeling like from pumps and boots but I really love these slingbacks. Is this just the nature of slingbacks?

Thanks for the warm welcome. I am six months single which gives me plenty of opportunity to wear my heels. Started with 3 inch heels like over 20 years ago, and now I wear my 5 inch heels every nite at home. I have 4"mules, 5" strappy sandals, 5" peep toe pumps and slingbacks, 5" black leather knee highs , nice 5" brown ankle boots. I love my shoes and yes I want more. When time allows I completely dress female. Pretty heels just aren't always enough. I do venture out enfemme occasionally but not to malls and such, I'd love to but I guess Im scared. Some of you sound so brave. I once spent a whole weekend in Provincetown, Massachusetts completely dressed, heels, long painted nails, dresses, skirts, earrings, and I had the best time ever without a care in the world, shopping, restaurants, bars, just walking the streets in heels. And my accepting girlfriend(at the time)by my side. Boy, I miss that. Not the girl, being myself. I'd love nothing more than to be able to leave the house in heels whenever I wanted. A good accepting girl would also be nice. I hope that fills in some blanks about me. I hope to post some pics and get an avatar soon. Its nice to be accepted here, Thanks
