  1. I think it was just in the UK - according to Wikipedia:

Upon TMNT's first arrival in the United Kingdom, the name was changed to "Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles" (or TMHT for short), since local censorship policies deemed the word ninja to have too violent associations and connotations. Consequently, everything related to the Turtles had to be renamed before being released in the UK (or Ireland). The lyrics were also changed, eliminating the word ninja, such as changing "Splinter taught them to be ninja teens" to "Splinter taught them to be fighting teens." The policies also had other effects, such as removing Michelangelo's nunchakus on the same basis. At the start of the later comeback these policies had been abolished, and no changes were made to the 2003 TMNT show. The name Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles remained unchanged for the 2003 show. As a result, in the U.K., the 1987 show is still called Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles and the 2003 show is called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

  2. I too find some chunky heels more difficult than a well designed stilleto. Sometimes the bottom of the chunky heel doesn't fall at the same angle as my foot/ankle wants to take, so it forces your foot to it's own angle. A stilleto doesn't have enough contact area to do this. Emma

  3. Unfortunately, the only method that can claim to be permanent is electrolysis, which is expensive, painful, time consuming and, depending on the skill/experience of the electrologist, can lead to scarring. And because every single hair is treated individually, it's not really suitable for large areas, such as you are looking for. Depending on your hair and skin type, Laser might be your best bet for long term, as they reckon to be improving all the time. In the mean time, have you thought about using one of those epilators? (sort of rapidly rotating multi-tweezer thing that yanks the hairs out by the root) Despite what the ads say, it's painful to use at first, but the hair grows back more slowly and finer than after shaving. Aside from that, get yourself some feminising hormones! :P Emma

  5. Probably because of the space and bandwidth it would swallow. You can always put your own pics on one of the free image hosting sites and post a link to them from here. Emma
