The database is still corrupted. The 'number of replies' shown assumes the lost posts still present. Whenever you get 'No posts exist for this topic' if you click on the link for the last page, this problem is the likely cause. It's a fairly minor inconvenience. Just in case anyone would like to know.

Those are very tasteful pics, indeed. Once again it proves flair for wearing heels and for posing is essential. She has a good taste in boots, too.

I bought my first heels a few months ago. They're 4" stiletto boots. Exactly the right height to do my first heeling in.
-
Until recently, it had been ages since I had a pair of footwear worth taking good care of. Trainers, cheap men's shoes... They wear out soon anyhow. My expensive 4" real leather spike boots are supposed to last long, though!

The board had been inaccessible for at least a few hours last Saturday. All it displayed was some database error.
A few obvious anomalies are still present. Check the dates of last post on this page.
Edit Feb 15th:
dates of last post have all been overwritten now

I don't trust this. The board may be under attack again. I saw a similar case recently. I've notified Jeff and Firefox on the issue.

I love the white Mary Janes! Your bare legs are beautiful, Ellen-Jay! Some more pics without stockings, please.

Congratulations, LondonMaleInHighHeels. Could you please tell us what tipped the balance to take the plunge?

Now that's an excellent idea for shyguys!I have never ridden a motorbike in heels, but I often ride a mountain bike in 4" heel court shoes. I fact its a very good way of doing some discrete street heeling, if it starts to get too crowded you can quickly and discreetly disappear.

Welcome, Heeledguy. If you're looking for encouragement this is the place to be.

Hi red shoes, and welcome. There are all kinds of heel admirers and wearers here, so there's a lot to read.

Hi,
I bought my first pair of heels yesterday. (See this thread.) I've never worn any heels before, but in the shop I found out I had little trouble balanceing in 4" stilettos. Being an experienced speedskater, I'm used to balanceing in high Norwegian skates. But the difference is in the stretched ankle.
Does it make sense this is any help? I can't imagine it involves the same muscles, although the skill is the same.
Similar experiences, anyone?

Well, I've got my own pair now.
Sorry, I dont have a pic and I don't think there will be one any time soon.
They are much like these from Leatherworks, but with a 11cm (little over 4") heel.
Soft and thin real leather, matt black. Whew!
Although I'd rather bought a pair of knee highs, but I couldn't find a pair that fit my calves. They cost me a fortune, but I'm happy.
It's money well spent! The beauties are on my bare feet right now and I'm enjoying it like I was a month ago. They're surprisingly easy to walk in, at least about the house. Only the sustained ankle stretching takes practice.
As soon as I've mastered them and I've saved some more money, I'll shop for real knee highs will higher heels.

Sorry about that, Akev. Thanks for pointing it out. Correction:

Happy birthday, Daz! It's been a long time since I was 22. And drunk...

"Look dad, the empress has no sh... hmpf!" (further words smothered by the empress' secret police) .... Oh, you're not the empress. Nice shoes, Ellen-Jay!

The pink sandals are lovely, Kromozome!

It seems you're not the only one. Google: "talones altos"From what little spanish I know, I always thought it was "talones altos".
But compare: Google: "tacones altos"

A few more additions and corrections, if you don't mind Stellah

I am not a heeler (yet!), but the click click is sooo alluring! Hearing a pair of stilettos is half the fun. And you won't miss out if they approach from behind.

It's all tongue in cheek, Jeff I like being a kill joy once in a while. It's good to know it's easy to recover this site if you ever lose your browser bookmarks/favorites.

Sorry guys, but I'm not impressed. hhplace is the domain name, that is why it appears at the top. "high heel meeting place" (including the quotation marks) is a highly specific 4 word phrase. How often do you use this literal phrase apart from the context of this board? Even if not in quotes, Google tries to find these words together and lists the item at the top.

It seems free image hosting is too good to be true. Both uploading and viewing are very slow at times. Time outs occur frequently. I suppose you can expect things to turn worse.

Thanks for the replies. I haven't seen any footwear with UK size marks in that store or any shop in the Netherlands. This guy wore a pair, they were his own. Anyway, it's his size. Maybe it's mine too, or I'm an 8 or an 8½. I agree trying on is always decisive.

The way I see it: The advantage of wanting only the best is there's only one of that. The amount of money I can afford to spend on one pair depends of how many pairs I want. Last December I threw EUR 240 on my first pair of heels. I probably wont buy more for at least a year. It's money well spent. They're fine quality, thin real leather boots, off-size. Exactly what I had set my mind on. Every time I put them on, I think of them as precious, not expensive. Anything less would leave me dissatisfied. I'd end up buying more and more, spending more money in the end.
