Not generally at work, but I would socially. I like peep toe sling backs with toe polish. Stockings can obscue the full effect of the painted toes.

I think I said this in another thread but why don't the men just wear what heels they want within reason. There's no law against it. I don't think girls are "lucky" in that sense. Perhaps they are braver to make a larger range of fashions their own. Most men are too worried about being called gay or trying to out-macho their mates. So men have only got themselves, or at least their gender to blame in this respect. The masters of their own fate you might say. ~Caz

I buy from the better stores: Fenwick's, Russell and Bromley, Nine West, Dune, Faith, Ravel. I have a lot of stilettos from 3 to 4 inch in height and a range of ankle/knee boots with different heel shapes of the same height. I have a few 4 to 5 inch boots and courts for social occasion. I have around 40 to 50 pairs in total.

I can't believe some people said they would wear stilettos. It's a way not to get the job. 3 inch chunky heels on boots. Dark trouser suit, light blouse. Or light grey trouser suit and white blouse. Interviews are a game and many interviewers expect you to dress and act in a conservative fashion. So humour them for an hour. It's not too diffiucult. ~Caz

Red nail varnish with peep toe slingbacks is a favourite look of mine in the summer. I'd generally wear that without stockings and bronzer on the legs. The occasion would need to be right though. Stockings usually give a more professional image in the PR world.

No I don't wear block heels. I prefer the feeling of a thin heel. When you are used to balancing on it people will admire that more. And thin heels make my legs look better with skirts. it's a no contest decision. I will wear a high thinner type block heel with boots/trousers sometimes though. This compliments the thicker leg sillouhette created by the trouser.
-
Very thin heels look nice and are more fun to balance on. I would take them off on soft floors though. They are more for wearing outside on hard surfaces like concrete.

Nooooo. Not for me. I can never get the seams straight and I don't care for the look. It's ordinary stockings with rubber elastic tops for me. And if you are lucky they might have frills on them ~Caz

Laurie sums up my feelings about high heels. I can't add anything to that. I do think this issue of men wearing high heels seems to get blown up out of all proportion on this forum. I've never seen it, but it's all cool by me. Let the men wear whatever heels they want if they can. They will soon find out it is not as easy as it looks. I'm talking 18/7 here, not the occasional trip from the bedroom to the bathroom while the wife isn't looking ~Caz

I don't think stills would be advisable with a water bed unless would you like a wet dream  ~Caz

Agreed Laurie. I have worn 5 inches on some occasions and I can walk comfortably in those. I was really referring to the 6 or 7 inch heels mentioned across the forum in other palces. Or are these bedrom heels for cross dresing types. It is difficult to tell fact from fiction in this place. Still a laugh though for all that ~Caz

I wouldn't wear either strappy sandals or large strap courts to the office or at functions. It's the same as wearing sleeveless blouses or skirts which are too short. They don't fit with my current job's image. Classic courts or high heeled boots with a trouser suit are more suitable. In my early career I was involved in more menial work. Typing, loading photocopiers, tearing up old accounts, handling paper, or post room duities. Try doing that work with long nails and tight skirts!! Much of this thread is just fantasy. Sorry about that guys, but enjoy anyway Now I do PR work or managerial duties. High heels are part of a smart image, but those will be respectable courts or boots 3 to 4 inches tall.

I look at other women in heels for sure. I check out what they are wearing with what shoes. It doesn't turn me on but it's more for interest's sake and may influence what I buy to wear. If they are wearing higher heels than me I am jealous. But it's jealousy with a smile. I know what they are doing and I know they are enjoying it so that must be good. If a colleague comes to work with me (I work with changing groups of people) and she is wearing higher heels, I may wear even higher than her the next day as if to say, I can wear these too.

I'm 21 Yeah welll I forgot my age some time ago. Ok, Ok, I'm in my 30's. Enough said? But I can still wear stills so what does it matter ?

What can I say. I'm a real woman with real shoes...wow! My usual style is 3 to 4 inch court shoes for business wear. I'd like to see what others are wearing.
-
Hmmm... amazing. A variety of "girls" display their outfits. Yeah well, no piccies of mine but it was a light short sleeved blue blouse, navy blue skirt and jacket, barely black stockings and 3 inch suede stilleto court shoes.

Many of these discussions about girls wearing heels seem to end up with posts about men wearing them. This is strange. I came back to this board after a couple of years and ummmmm... Well I never saw a man wearing them anyway, not that I care. On the subject, of course you will get of looks and some men will melt away even at little 3 inch stiletto heels so they're a great thing to wear if you know how and they are comfortable. There's a lot of talk of fantastic tall heels, but can you wear them all day and still get the looks? Be real, people

There seem to be loads of men posting in this topic. It seems to defeat the object if you want answers from women.
-
Absolutely right Laurie. I weigh a bit more than your ideal, though not much. I don't think those nails and shoes in the pic are suitable for office work. I'm doing a lot of PR work at the moment. Wearing 3 to 4 inch heels is part of the job, but that kind of oufit shown would not last one day!

We often have sex with me wearing my stiletto knee boots. They are nothing special but 31/2 inch heels soft leather which is sensual and we both enjoy the feel of them. So long as I keep the spikes clear of any action

I hope this isn't too sexy a question to ask for this forum, but it is something that has to be asked. I can't say they turn me on sexually but I do feel very very different in them. And yes they do get me in the mood but I think that is a warmth, confidence, and gerneral feel-good factor. It also depends what I am wearing with them. ~Caz

I like to have the highest heels in the room. Even though I don't wear heels as high as most people, here that is usually the case. If I was wearing 3 1/2 at work and another girl was doing 4, then I would be in 4 or 4 1/2 the next day. Strange but true!

13 or 14 for stilettos. I was wearing thicker heels before that.
Adjustable heels; could they catch on?

It's an interesting concept for the occasional hi heel wearer. But I would be confident to dance in four inch heels all evening and walk back home, if needed. For the regular heel wearer, endurance should not be an issue. ~Caz
