I think it would be interesting as an add on to this post to ask what part of your paycheck you "donate" to the government. Here in the US we have federal income tax, state income tax (not in Texas, Florida, and maybe elsewhere), sales tax, real estate tax, school tax, etc. Speaking personally, I contribute about 20% to 25% of what I make to one government entity or another. I know compared to other countries, it is not that high. But times they are a changin'. Before too long, $4 a gallon gas here may be considered the good old days.

Glances, smiles, and nods, but that's about it. If I did not get a little reaction (notice) now and then, I'd begin to think guys wearing heels is gettin' a little too common place.

Walk easily? 5 3/4". I walk in over 6" heels with no platforms, but not for long distances. I'm sure if I gave it enough effort, the taller heels could be just as easy.

Shortened stride...for me, it's the journey, not the destination!

HA! I thinks it's safe to say that if you wore either of those styles out, no one would remember what else you had hanging off your bod that day. WILD!

Hi all,
Doesn't anyone find that you shoes get marked, the heels get slightly scuffed, or the carpets/mats leave marks on you shoes...esp. with lighter colours/ finer materials?
Exactly! I drive a standard shift mostly. I find that all my shoes without exception have some scuffing after driving. But, I enjoy the experience never the less. I carry some keds or flats if the heels I'm wearing are my more expensive ones and I don't want them scuffed.

I really love to wear heels with toe cleavage.
I love wearing shoes with toe cleavage as much as I love to see others wearing them, too.

I visited the local Payless this morning. I'm a frequent customer and the manager there is quite nice. I was wearing mary jane wedges and went to try on some oxford heels. The store was quite busy but I could have been trying on steel toe work boots for all anybody cared. For all those who are only thinking about going to try heels on at the store, just go do it. It's not a big deal but it is alot of fun!

mine had studs on them ... patent went south but was fun a couple of times
What was opinion of them? Worth buying?

WOW! I love the looks of that pump! I don't know how it would be to wear, but I may need to find out.

The higher the better. But if its clunky looking, forget it. Needs to be both high and stylish!

my pinks
Sharp! I love the look with the fishnets. I think fishnets are really comfortable and sexy to wear, too.

You are welcome, Gary. So, no detention for you this time - nor the cane (unless you insist).
Puffer,
I had one year (first grade) of the Sisters of No Mercy; they wouldn't ask if you wanted a swat, they freely gave! I guess it's kind of like "shoot first and ask questions later"!

I have been drooooling over these for some time now. I really love them to bad they are slightly out of my budget
Nice! Yea, a little more money but leather!

'It is me' (or 'This is me') is correct as 'me' is the object of the sentence (impliedly 'This is a picture of me'). But when we announce ourselves, as on the phone, with 'It is me', we are the subject of the implied statement 'I am here/speaking', so 'It is I' is strictly correct there. 'It is me' is of course a perfectly acceptable colloquialism and most of us use it.
Puffer,
I stand corrected: In this case, "It is me", would be correct.
OK, class dismissed!

It is me, or should I say "I."
To be correct, you would say, "It is I." (predicate pronoun).

I've even experienced variations in sizing in womens shoes when looking at the same shoe, but in different colors. But, I've had this same experience in mens shoes, too. Womens shoes tend to vary so much in style (a good thing) that it's hard to predict how a specific shoe will fit without trying it on. And as you've said Majo, it's best to try them on at the end of the day when your feet are biggest.

Al, I think it better to be a bit odd or eccentric then to fall in with the rest of the cattle: Life is much more interesting taking the less traveled route!

Incidentally I've been having problems this year with my neck and got launched to see the company doctor, nice guy, quite knowledgeable and gave me a very favourable report.
Didn't pass any comment about me arriving in 31/2" heels, though the report did mention posture work.
I think he knew.
Al
Al,
HA! You would have died if the report stated "RECOMMENDATION: Limit high heel height to 2-1/2" or less."

Al, WOW! A close call! I have a question: Are the guards men or women? We have guards checking badges and sometimes vehicles where I work. I don't think the male guards pay much attention to what one is wearing. But, the women (especially one I see frequently), are very attentive. I'm sure the news would get back to my office even before I did! Gary

Every so often I catch a glimpse of guys wearing heels, but I'm usually in a hurry to get somewhere and can't spare the time to strike up a conversation. I do see guys browsing the larger size womens shoes, at the local shoe stores, on a more frequent basis than previously: I have not spied any of them wearing heels while doing so.

Welcome! I like the Pleaser Bordellos, too. I have the platform pumps in red and pink. Enjoy!

I have worn 5-1/2" heels all day, but 6" only for an hour or so without giving the feet a rest. That extra half inch makes a big difference comfort-wise, for me any way.
Finally Made It :)
