I think from an artistic point of view, platforms, especially the exagerated ones with spike heels, make interesting photographs, but I have to confess that as a personal preference I am glad they are on the way out as we have had them, and chunky heels for too long now. On the other hand I don't mind a small platform if the shoe/sandal/boot still looks feminine and not too clumpy. I am glad stilettos are back in fashion as they are more feminine and more flattering to the feet and legs and I hope they stay around as long as the platforms have done or longer. Taught myself to play recorder, which gave me the music bug. Progressed to piano and then clarinet, which I played in the school band. Wanted to play the sax though as it is far more sexy. Got to 5th grade in piano and decided that going out was more fun than practising, which I regret to this day. Love all music but mostly rock as to me it is the real thing. Julietta xx

I think what was strange really is that they were quite subtle as they were under black trousers, but still noticed. Excellent!

BW stands for Beautiful Wife. Unfortunately, I lost her late last year. Life has not been much fun since, but one goes on, not knowing what else to do. She was young, pretty, lively, perfect, my world. She supported my high heel wearing without hesitation.

BobHH, I sorry for the loss of your BW. I know it is a cliche but time does heal and gradually the pain is replaced with happy memories.

It is nice that there is site like this that at least we can all come into and share our mutual passion. It also shows that there are a lot of women out there that like your BW, are open minded and understanding enough to know that variety is the spice of life and that it takes all sorts of people to make the world an interesting place to live in.

Hi all,

I work on a ward in a hospital. I usually wear, max 2" heels as I do a lot of walking up and down and try to keep the click, clicks to a minimum. After a conversation with my best friend (who put me onto this site as he like to wear heels), I decided to shake things up a bit and see what reaction I would get if I wore some higher heels.

I wore these:

with black trousers, jumper. Nothing more or less than I would normally wear, just to see if people would react differently, and they did.

The men were more polite. Had many more good mornings and smiles but it is the women reaction that really made me laugh. I had "Oh look at you today - power dressing", and strange unfriendly looks

Am tempted to wear those courts now to see what reactin I get from those

Has anyone else had this problem?

What is BW?

I thought I was the only one that thought that. I hate my comfy loafers.....

It is mental isn't it? I do know of (well actually I am a member of) a site that is purely for men that paint their nails. On that site there is a file that has celebrities that paint their nails. There is a picture of Antonio Banderas, Ricky Martin, Keanu Reeves and David Beckham all wearing nail polish. They look really good. I will try to copy them onto here later. Personally I think all nails whether on male or female really look nice and with all the other adornments that we put on our bodies, that do not put a person into a gay category, I really cannot see why people are so small minded. Hi guys, My best friend in the whole world loves shoes, nylons and toenail painting. He feels he has to hide away and keep this a secret. I love him to bits and wish that he'd come shopping with me. I'd love to spend a day with him trying on shoes and boots but he hasn't the nerve yet, but when he does I will be by his side and proud of it because that is who he is and I adore who he is. Until you guys pluck up the courage to go out there and strut your stuff, people's attitudes won't change. I think feet deserve a treat, whether male or female as they have to carry us around all our lives, so please don't be shy, the more of you who pluck up the courage to say "this is me and I like it, take me or leave me" then the more people will get used to you artistic males who have the colour and imagination to enjoy dressing up. We are (well most of us anyway) still kids inside and enjoy dressing up and why not. It is harmless and let's face it guys a whole load of fun.
