When my wife and I were in our early 20's we did some traveling. I had a pair of 4" high heel sandals that I would wear when I could be discreet and was sure that no one would see me. This one night we were staying in a hotel and our room was on the 8th floor. As we were relaxing and fooling around a bit, my wife decided to paint my toenails red. I laughed and said I guess I wont be wearing sandals tomorrow. She just laughed and said I have polish remover and you can take it off tomorrow. Well we ended up getting cozy and I forgot about the nail polish. The next day I got up to find my wife already dressed and packing things up to leave. I hurried out of bed and jumped in the shower. As I was taking my shower my wife poked her head in and said that she had laid out my clothes and that she was leaving the key with me. She was going down to the car and finish getting things packed up and I was to meet her at the car after checking out. I just said ok and didnt give it another thought. Now my wife loved to do daring things back in the day and she knew I was game for almost anything. As I was drying off in the shower I looked down and realized that my toenails were still red. No problem I think to myself, just throw on some socks and shoes and all is well. After drying off I walked into the room to get dressed. As I approach the bed I am horrified at what I see. There before me is my atire, the clothes that I will undoubtedly check out of the hotel in and walk through a huge lobby and across a big parking lot to get to the car. On the bed is a crop top, frilly and a pair of my wifes shorts, you know the ones with cute little bows on them. Then panic sets in as I look to the floor and see the cute sandals with the 4" heels. You know the ones, they make lots of cool noise when walking in large open rooms with tile floors. By this time I am tearing the place apart to find where she hid my real clothes, but no such luck. All I manage to find is a note that says "honey I know you like a challenge I will be waiting at the car with the camera." I know I have no choice but to get dressed and follow through. I get to the elevator unseen but as the door opens to the lobby I am not so lucky. There must have been 50 people in that lobby that day. I look around and walk straght up to the desk and tell the clerk that I am there to check out and I give him my key. He hands me my reciept and with my frilly top and girly shorts I walk towards the door, my high heel sandals clicking all the way. As I stepped out into the sunny morning my toenails shone really bright for all to see. I walked across the parking lot and as I approached my wife she smiled and said, "smile for the camera" and she took my picture. I told here she didnt need to do that because between the elevator door and the car there must have been thirty people already taken my picture. That was my first public appearance in heels. I cannot say I was ready for it, but what a rush. Needless to say I always make sure that I get my clothes before the bags leave the room. Yes this is a true story. Thanks for reading Kris

I wear girl jeans most of the time when I am not working. I cannot wear them to work because of uniform requirements. But I too love the fit and feel of low rise womens jeans. I am looking to buy a pair of the skinny jeans to go with my navy patent stilleto pumps I bought last night. I think they would look awesome together. The heel is 5" So for my input wear them and stop worrying about it. Confidence is the best concealer.

Wow now that rings very familiar. I have been in those shoes so to speak. I told my wife about my desires early on and did not phase her in the least. I too live in a small town where I was self employed for many years. To be seen in heels just wouldnt fly. My children would have gone nuts I suppose if they knew. My wife and I have for years taken weekend trips when we could afford it to get away. We would go to a large city where no one knew us and I could wear my heels without worry. This may be an option for you also. We still do the occassional trip out of town now that the kids are grown. I totally understand where you are coming from. So hang in there and just know that you are not alone. I thought I was the only one for many years. Take care.

I told my wife about my love of heels many years ago and all she said was dont expect me to wear high heels. You see she just doesnt care for them. She does enjoy shopping with me for heels. She gets the biggest kick out of watching me try them on in stores. When I want to wear heels out with her, she responds by telling me to put them on and lets go. It doesnt bother at all. Here philosophy is if you are doing what you love and act natural then no one will likely notice and most who do wont care. I am truly very blessed in this respect.

I was out shopping at target last night just before closing time and was all alone in the shoe department. I found these fabulous pumps in navy blue. They were so cool I had to try them on and once on found them to be much higher than I am used to. I walked by a mirror in them and absolutely loved the look so I had to buy them. The heels are 5 inches, will take a bit of practice but look sooo goood. Got a curious look from the sales girl, but I just smiled and gave her a wink which yeilded a smile.

I love wearing heels and have to say that I would wear them as often as possible. As for now when my wife and I go out of town I put my male shoes away and wear heels all the time. If we do a lot of walking I tend to wear a lower heel, but my point is that when I can I wear them as much as possible. By the end of a long weekend away wearing heels feels so natural that my wife has to remind me when we are almost home so I dont embarass myself and have to explain to the kids why I am wearing heels.

I agree with many here on this one. It is not just the shoes that make one sexy. I love the look of a lady in high heels, but I dont think that I look sexy in heels. Dont get me wrong I like the way I look in heels. I think that it is the entire package that creates the sexy look. In the 70's men wore platform heels and I dont recall any of them looking sexy to me. Thats just my opinion.

I wear high heels because I love the way they look and feel. It is a thrill to me to shop for heels as well. I enjoy the reactions I get from most people. There is no feeling I can describe like walking into a store and talking to a lady about heels while standing there in a pair of heels. My wife is very supportive of my choices. Although she thinks my heels are to high for her taste. I look for the day when stores start selling mens heels. I only hope they will be as tastefully made as womens are now.

I have ten pairs mostly wedge platform sandals all are approximately 4 inches with a 1 inch platform. I have two pairs of wedge heeled clogs at about 4 inches high. I also have one pair of 6inch black mules and one pair of 7 inch platform mules in white. No boots as of yet, but who knows I am not done shopping.

Just like buying anything else, I always try them on. I usually dont get much reaction to it. Most time there are only women around and they dont seem to mind to much. A couple of times I have had women take up conversation with me while looking at shoes. Once I was shopping for shoes while wearing heels and a lady noticed my shoes and asked how I liked them. She was looking at a pair just like the ones I had on. It was kind of strange at first but she seemed genuine and took my advice. As has been said many times I am sure the most important thing is to be confident in yourself and go for it.

I normally wear sandals, thats mostly what I have and love to wear the most. My favorites are Guess hunk in tan they have a 4 inch wedge heel and look great with jeans.

I am in my mid 40s and love to wear and shop for high heels. I have about a dozen pairs ranging from 2 inch to 7 inch platforms. I love the way high heels look and feel when on.
