  1. I would do it in a minute. After all I have done it for halloween many times. It is fun to dress up and having an excuse like opposite gender day would take the pressure of trying to be passable off. I know that there are many men who use halloween just for the chance to dress up. I dont want to live my life as a woman or wear womens clothes all the time but what the heck once in a while it is fun. A mans got to lighten up and live a little. :)

  2. I have several pairs of mules and also a couple of pairs of clogs. I love wearing mules because it is so easy to slip them on and off. I find them to be as easy to wear and as comfortable as any other shoe as long as they are the right size and fit properly.;)

  3. I would have to say that seeing a guy in heels is an ego boost for me. It tells me that I am not alone, or at least not the only one out there who loves to wear heels. I do agree with most that the look must fit. I have on a couple of occassions seen guys wearing heels. I did not approach them as they were going about their business just as if they were wearing flats. That is what I try to do when heeling. I think that if men wear heels as part of the outfit and go about their day and not make the heels the sole attraction then it becomes a non issue to most people. Thanks Amanda for such a thought provoking thread.

  4. Sorry to hear of your plite, however I have a thought that may or may not work. It may work to start with lower more chunky heels and let her get used to seeing you in them. Then as she gets comfortable with them work up to taller and more of what you desire. Just a thought.

  5. I voted yes because working in a shoe store would be a dream come true for me. I could spend all day around shoes and people talking and helping them find that perfect pair. Could you imagine having some one who would assist you in finding just that perfect pair without the anxiety or stress of being humiliated or embarrassed. I think it would be awesome to be able to enable men to walk into a shoe store and talk and try on high heels without any worry or anxiety about it. Just my 2 cents worth.;)

  6. I absolutely love wedges. I find that I can walk farther and spend much more time in them than stilletos. When I am looking to be a little less conspicuous, wedges seem to go pretty much unnoticed. When I want to be noticed I slip on my six inch platform stilletos and strut my stuff. I find I wear wedges most of the time though. ;)

  7. I love clogs and have worn them for years. I have the traditional wooden clogs and the popular rubber kind. I also have high heeled clogs that I wear often. I wear them out and about and no one gives me a second look. I have had a couple of times comments by ladies on my clogs. All positive too. Clogs are so handy to wear especially in the colder months. I love that I can just slip into a pair on my way out the door and be off. Also it is nice to be able to slip right back out of them on my return. Thanks for the post.;)

  8. It depends on what shoes I am wearing. If I am wearing a closed toe shoe then I dont worry about the polish, but I usually wear sandals when I can and weather permits. I try to always wear at least a light shade of polish when wearing sandals. I think it just looks better.

  9. I personaly prefer sandals. I mostly wear heels in the summer and warmer months. In the colder weather I prefer clogs. I have in the past tried boots but my feet seem to sweat alot in them making them uncomfortable for me. I just love the free open feeling of sandals and the thrill of a great high heel.

  10. First of all I think that men wearing heels in general is forward thinking and breaks the boundaries between men and women. Why should color create a boundary? If you are going to cross the so called social bounds by wearing heels why let color dictate a boundary. I say if you are working to break boundaries and change social perceptions dont pass on that perfect pair just because of color. Go for it and do what we do best, enjoy a great pair of shoes. Thanks

  11. I tend to go through phases with what I like to wear, and right now I am really into platform wedges. I mainly just love the look and the feel when I wear them. I also think it may also be the stability of the typically thicker heel. I have some that make noise when I walk and some that dont. It really doesnt bother me if they make noise or not. If I am in the mood to hear my heels then I put on a cute pair of high stilletos. Thanks for the thread. :winkiss:

  12. I usually wear 4" heels. Although I do have a few pairs that are 5" with a one inch platform so the math comes out the same. Anyway the four inch heel seems to work best for me for now. I can wear them for hours without my feet hurting but any higher and I dont like to do a lot of walking.:winkiss:

  13. I am in the neutral range. I havent always been there, but it has been a process. It takes time to build confidence and courage to go out in public wearing high heels. I typically wear boot cut or flare leg ladies jeans with my heels, because I like the look. My shoes are usually partially covered but when I am walking there is no doubt about it. After going out in public a few times I realized that most people dont notice or dont care.

  14. Sandals are by far my favorite kind of shoes. I love the warm summer sun on my feet when I wear my high heels. I have been looking forward to summer all winter long. I can hardly wait to strip off the socks and slide my feet into a cool pair of sandals. I have never had a professional pedicure but am thinking of giving it a try this year. I do however at times wear a light shade of polish on my toes. It just seems to compement the overall look.:winkiss:

  15. I mostly wear 4" heels. I find that this height makes for good all around shoes. I mostly wear sandals and find that higher heights tend to cause my feet to fatigue fairly quickly. When I was younger it was the higher the better, but as I get older I find that I settle for more comfortable heights.
