What are your heel tips made of? If metal, maybe changing the tips to rubber or soft plastic would muffle the sound a bit and still give you the sturdy feel you enjoy with the metal tips. If the tips are already the softer kind, getting more rugs or carpet samples to lay on the floor is another option.

They are actually all plastic heels tip I belive Ive seen non metal so far. Yes Ive been thinking of carpets to.

Fortunately I'm on the ground floor and there's only the car park underneath, as yet, i havent set the car alarms off in the car park below...

Your lucky, in my old apartment I was on the groundfloor to.

Unfortunately, sound of heels goes through buildings well, so you are heard. Thing is, you have to remind yourself that noone will care at all....trust me.

But, yes, chances are your neighbors (especially below) do hear you.

The thing is that I dont wanna disturb them, imagine meeting the woman who lives underneath my apartment in the elevator asking me or my wife if someone walks around in highheel shoes...

This is my problem... I live in a apartment in 7 floor building. I have neighbours under me and above me and towards me. I have plastic standard carpet/floor in the whole apartment. I usually put on my heels when my wife is out(she doesnt now) so how much does the neighbours underneath me here when Im walking around. I have some small carpets that I put together so I have a few meters to walk on before hitting the floor directly. I try to walk as quiet as I can but I dont really like that. Ive come up with a pretty cheesy solution, I talk an old slipper very thin and put the whole shoe in it. I tape the back on the slipper to the heel so its fixed. Then I can walk normaly without making any noise, but its not the same thing. But I must practice in some way, anyone who got a better idea plase tell me. Sorry for the spelling here guys and girls HH

Depends where you live. I live in the Uk and therefor I use UK sizing. You don,t say where you live.

If it is USA women's 11, Steve Madden, Bronx, Nine West, Colin Stuart (Victoria's Secret) all make them. Some Nine West and Steve Madden are 12 but be warned, Steve Maddens run SMALL!!

Hi And thanks ! Its actually upnorth in Europe(sweden) Ive been wearing heels for 15 years back and forth, my wife still doesnt know but I have to break it down for here eventually. I never go out in public that is not my thing. If I could I would stay in heels all day but I cant yet... I got hooked up on this way back as a kid, trying my moms hose and heels. I loved when I had size 37 and could wear my moms heels, moved away from family when I was 18. No internet at that time so it was difficult to get heels in bigger sizes. I bought heels, threw them away bought new ones and threw them away. But now I know for sure that this is a part of me wearing heels and it wont go away. Id like to wear some nice hose to the heels I think the look greater, thats my opinion. Thanks everybody for a warm welcome

Is that a Uk size 11 or a Usa size 11. As you may find that Barratts and Evens go upto size 10uk. New look, Next and Aldo go upto a size 9uk

Hi ! I just wonder if there a place to buy designer shoes in bigger sizes ? for instance 11 ? There is a lot of nice shoes out there but the biggest size is 8 I now only have shoes from pleaser, the highest heel , hollywodheels etc but it would be nice to some designer shoes to. Thanks HH
