Wouldn't you be hung drawn and quartered if you turned up at a Landrover event in one of those?!
Emma
PS anyone know how to fix pinholes in Range Rover air suspension units?!
Definately!!! Don't show up in anything but a Land Rover (or something that isn't 4wd, because then they'll pity you )
And for the pinholes: You can contact www.british4x4.com or ask the question on the LRE forum: www.landroverenthusiast.com

Wow, that sounds good. And there was me wondering if I should have gone. Looks like I should have, then
O yeah, certainly! And you could have visited me on my stand :-)
-
Last weekend I had a stand at a Land Rover Show in Northampton. The first day there was some rain, so the terrain got a bit muddy, but nevertheless I saw 5 ladies (during the weekend) wearing high stiletto heels, at least 4 inches!!! Also there were some wedges and block heels, but they don't really interest me. It was great standing in my stand, looking at all those people coming by and notice the ladies in stiletto's... It would have been even better if it would have been guys wearing them CU!

I am glad to be out of those loafers... but those cowboyboots aren't my taste either... how many posts do I need to get into some stiletto's???

You should come to Billing then!

I have a thing for vintage FJ-40 Toyota Land Crushers, myself. Used to own one before my divorce. They would go anywhere. I asked the members of my Land Cruiser club if they would mind if I invited a friend along with a Jeep CJ-40, and they said "Sure--entertainment!". And sure enough they got stuck! Don't know much about Range Rovers, except that getting parts for them is expensive as the devil, and the older Land Rovers had a reputation in America of leaking oil like a sieve.
A Land Rover doesn't leak oil, it markes it's territory

He!!! I just went from comfy loafers to cowboy boots! Still not my taste, but it's improving!

I used to do a lot of off-roading in my family's old Lada Niva. These days I'm drawn towards a Land Rover or Range Rover. I'd quite like an old-shape 3.9V8 Range Rover, or (dreams) a 101 forward control, perhaps with a diesel conversion.
And if I had one of these - I'd probably drive it in heels anyway!
I really like the 101 too... but keep the V8!!!
oh, that sound....
My 109 Series III has a V8 too
-
I'd definately wear mine preferably in a patent red
I would wear yours too!!!
:-)

 Although I don't think High Heels would be suitable footwear for the terrains I drive my Land Rover through...
-
Any Land Rover enthusiasts on this forum??? I am!!!
-
Thanks I think we stand a pretty good chance and, WOW I love your avatar
Me too... dunno where I found it, but I'm very glad I did!!!
-
I am very happy for you two!!! And please... make it last a lifetime
-
I would love to have a pair like those... for my preperation to buying (and walking) in ballet-shoes/boots but at that price!!!
-
I know this post is *very* old, and also I am new to this board... (lurked for ages, but never posted).
The boots worn by Liz are definitely not from the Little Shoe Box... I don't know why they lay claim to them (well, actually, it is obviously good publicity), but they are actually from QualFetish in Canada.
There seem to be only three manufacturers (currently) of ballet heels;
Little Shoe Box (UK)
QualFetish (Canada)
Punitive Shoes (Italy)
The Italian and Candian ones are difficult to differentiate, but LSB have a completely different heel style. I know, since I have two pairs from LSB and one from QualFetish.
Just thought I'd put things right (better late than never!
Cheers
Andrew
Do these three have websites by any chance?
-
Wow! Now I really wanna get a pair and start practising :-)
-
I think they're intended as a gentle encouragement to keep on posting. After only 25 posts you're into something a little nicer! So, feel free to post more, and earn some nicer shoes
And how many posts do I need to get into the real stiletto's???
-
I would never wear the shoes I've been given as an avatar by this forum!!! But the ones on my own avatar... well
-
Highheeled Sub - I can highly recommend the shoes I just bought from Hayway Shoes. (have a loook at the thread called Hayway Shoes). They have an ankle strap and are very comfortable! Liked the video. Well done Onyourtoes.
Hello High Surprise,
I don't really care for sandals, I like pumps and boots :-)
I think I will just manage with the ones I've got and get me some nice balletheels to go with them
-
I've got two home-made self-design radio-controlled modelships, a model train and a model car :-)

I would have loved to see that clip!!!

Very nice! I can walk on 7" heels myself, but mine don't have an ankle strap, which makes it harder to walk comfertable in them. I would love to have a pair with ankle straps one day, especially as my girlfriend sometimes let's me walk in them for a whole evening...
-
I often drive with my 4" stiletto pumps on Usually when I drive long distances so it's really worth going through the trouble of changing shoes.
