  1. This may have been discussed before I joined but I would love comments from JKrenzer and other wearers dedicated to wearing stiletto heels. More often than not these issues do not really apply to thicker heels and wedges.

But the obvious ones that I encounter are grates in sidewalks; widely spaced planks on board walks; the times when you cannot avoid walking on a lawn, soft earth or heel damaging gravel; and last but far from least, an extended walk on a downhill slope.

It doesn't ruin the joy of wearing high heels.... it's just a pain.

  2. I would add that the frequency of wearing high heels has a huge impact on comfort (or discomfort). Consider the people that put on high heels only for the most special events... Date night...a wedding... a company party... etc. Those people's feet are going to be tense as soon as they take their first steps... and that tension will hasten the onset of discomfort. Those on the other hand, that wear high heels in their normal day-to-day activities feel far more relaxed when they put their high heels on and I believe that is why many can comfortably wear them. If I spend a busy day on my feet, I do not have pain.. but I will admit my feet feel tired and somewhat stressed.

  3. Joe, your tan stilettos are lovely. You and I seem too share a love for the classic high stiletto pump. I especially love that you enjoy your high heels in public.

I finally received my Hey Si Mey 14cm pumps and I love them. I will post photos when I find a way to reduce the size to an acceptable level for this forum. I believe you said that you too had these pumps and I wondered if you have much opportunity to wear them,

  4. Those sandals are so unique Joe. I love them and really glad to hear they are 90% comfortable. But I am not sure what 90% means. 100% and 0% are pretty obvious but 90% suggests some minor issue.

  5. Joe, those are amazing! I really love the unique heel and the pointy toes. So glad they passed your test. But would you include them in the "nice for all day wear" category? I need more of that type.

My old Luichini pumps. These are tremendously comfortable heels, even at 5 inches

Joe those are really attractive pumps and considering that you wear high heels all day at work, I am happy that they are comfortable. Do you wear your heels to and from work too? I only ask because I recall you saying that you keep a few pair at work.

Way to high for everyday wear on my book. You wear those in public?

Actually they are not that extreme. The seller (italianheels) likely takes photos of very small sizes. I have one other pair of their pumps and in my size the heel barely measures 6". Not at all like some of the extreme heels that the chinese sellers offer.

I would wear these heels for special evenings. I am reasonably comfortable in 6" heels for an evening.... I could never manage them all day for work and shopping. I am a trans lady and for some reason I am sure you can appreciate, a higher heel makes me feel more "dressed-up" for a special evening.

I have 2 pair of pumps. Super comfortable but they do show a well worn look quickly. They rapidly conform to your feet and quickly wrinkle and bulge once worn. Personally I love the look of well worn heels but if you're more into shoes looking trim and clean these may disappoint you. They currently run at about $200 before shipping.

See my heels at work posts. I pictured both pair there.

Joe those high heels look well enjoyed but not "beat up". 5" I believe? Very high for all day but I believe that's quite a normal heel height for you for all day wear.
