  1. I sometimes sleep in heels though only can make it a few hours usually before I gotta take them off. It's fun and I enjoy feeling my feet in heels when I wake up. For the last few days my feet cramp up some at night and the heels help. Don't know why they are cramping up as I haven't worn my heels as much lately as I have in the past.

  2. I sure wish that my job required wear of high heels... Instead it is just the opposite, as heels would not be safe in the environment I work.

    TLAHHB

Earlier I was browsing the shoe section of Target. I saw a heel or two where I thought "I wonder if I could get away with that at work?" Where I work has sorta strict rules concerning shoes (must be black, able to be polished, and have laces are the main ones for men). I don't think it says anything about the heel. I'd be tempted to try it but I'm on my feet 8+ hours a day, none of my coworkers know I wear heels, and I'm sure management (and coworkers) would hassle me over my footwear regardless of what the rules say.
  3. I have no problem with girls posting in here. They have a lot to contribute. I would like to be able to contribute to the girl's forum but know I can't. Because of a few guys posting inappropriate things and what not in the girl's forum all guys lose out. The girls are much better behaved in here than I understand guys were in the girl's forum.

  4. The standard conversion doesn't work for me either. I wear 11 Men's and can wear 10 or 11 in Women's normally. Best advice I can offer is to try on in a store. If you're to nervous to do that (understandable) a lot of shoe stores have the foot measuring things on the sales floor and they are normally marked for both men and women in my experience. Use one of them and see what size you wear in Women's. When it comes to heels proper fit is very important. If you can buy from a local store (even if you don't try them on there) that way if they don't fit right you can easily return them.

  5. Your correct. The pics are of a young lady... Is that not allowed? Thats why i put them in the "everybody section"

She is my wife. We also post on Twitter hence the watermark....

Well, you said they were your pics, not your wife's and asked when you would would get away wearing them. This implied the pictures are going to be of you in heels, not your wife in them.
  6. 6'4 in bare feet .. 6'7, 6'8 in my favourites - door frames can be so cruel! :cry1:

I know the feeling, I'm 6'4" or 6'5" in my bare feet which makes me 6'8" or 6'9" in my normal streetheeling shoes and 6'9" or 6'10" in my normal house shoes. Thankfully I've got tall door frames in my apartment.
  7. Bulls**t Depends where you are...

I think that's true no matter where you are in the world. Some places are more tolerant of alternate dress than others.

Where I grew up in Northwest Florida is the heart of the Bible Belt and also has a lot of rednecks. If I try wearing heels there I'd probably have the hard-core Christians bashing me on one side and the rednecks literally bashing me on the other.

Down here in Central Florida though society seems a lot more tolerant of alternate lifestyles in general.

  8. ...it said made in china. now i hope that isnt true...

Don't you know, everything is "Made in China" (or Mexico, Taiwan, Japan, etc.) anymore? At least it seems that way. It is so hard to find anything "Made in America" and I'm in America!

The shoes were probably made in China, shipped to the company in America and then shipped to you. So they came from America but weren't made in America.

  9. What's the worst that could happen if I were to conveniently forget that these things have been said?

The possibility of physically never being able to wear heels ever again. Wouldn't it be better to give them up (somewhat) willingly for a year or so now instead of being forced by your body farther down the line to give them up forever?
  10. Some Googling (search terms high heels and fallen arches) is showing me that it is a good idea to avoid high heels when your arches have fallen and that high heels can actually cause fallen arches. Not good news for a heel lover I'm afraid.

This page from the manufacturer of Lady Luxury says that they are designed for shoes with a 1 or 2 inch heel, not a high heel by any stretch of the imagination but at least a heel of some sort.

  11. Good for you, man. For the most part I've gotten to where I just don't care what others think of me wearing heels. I heel in the Winter Garden area and haven't had any problems. Very few noticeable reactions and the ones that noticed didn't say anything to me. BTW, you need to go into your User CP and change your location. It says you're in the midwest while in actuality you're in Central Florida.

  12. Wore my Twist Bootines I got from Payless a while back out for the first time today. Twice today actually. First I made a quick run down the street to pick up a pizza. Very quick and uneventful trip. I just got back from running out to Lowes in them. It was interesting walking all over the store in them. As I was going through the appliance section I walked right by this couple comparing refrigerators with an employee. I see the guy's eyes go down to my feet then up to me. I then saw him nudge his wife. He did all this discreetly but not so discreetly I didn't notice (obviously since I did notice). Don't know if the wife saw my shoes as I headed down an aisle and went out of sight of them. Gotta wonder what they said to each other after I walked away. I thought to myself after I walked away "Yes, I'm wearing high heels. What's your point?" The shoes were quite visible as my jeans only go down to my ankle. I have a hard enough time finding pants long enough for me in flats so I'm not even going to try to find some that will cover my heels. No reason to hide them anyway. I'm not ashamed.

  13. what does it feel like wearing heels outside for the first time?

Hard to say. It felt good to finally do so. I think the feeling varies depending on the person. Some are nervous, some are relieved, others are scared, etc.
