  1. Not usually a fan of spikes, but DAMN those are nice boots Sue!

    Thank you very much

They're my newest purchase and as you can see I bought them from extravaganza. I've had a lot of compliments since I got them but they are so beautiful and sooo comfortable that I 've been wearing them a lot!

I got the address from our links section so I recommend you get a pair and I'm sure you'll be a "spikes" fan then!

I'm thinking about buying another pair but in beige this time.

    thanks again for the compliment

    Sue :(

I noticed a rather interesting shoe shop just around the corner from there (towards the high street) with lots of v. high heels in the window. Have you been in there? Is it worth a look? My taxi whisked me straight back to the station, buit I'm there again in a couple of weeks and might be tempted to get a later train home if it's worth it. Thanks Smudgeur Hi Sue, and welcome. I was in Taunton recently, and I spotted that shop too! I was driving, but caught a glance. I then couldn't find it again, which was a shame, as I'd had a free lunch hour I could have checked it out in. Anyway, a report would be nice, in case I make it down that way again! _________________ Hi Smudgeur and Yamyam Nice to know my part of the world is well visited Sorry to take so long but I haven't read this forum for a while. The shop your both interested in is called Platform1 (tel: 01823 412345), ands its on Corporation St opposite the bingo hall, its run by a very pleasant husband and wife team who I've spoken to on numerous occasions. As the name suggests its mainly platforms but she does have some stilleto boots and shoes though I haven't bought any yet. I went in with my friend when we were shopping, where she bought some boots. She says the ones she got are great and that I should've got a pair as well, instead of wearing stilleto ones all the time. No thanks!! Hope this helps Sue

  3. PJ wrote: Sorry Sue, even mentioning "almost a hobble skirt" with high heels gets me excited. I love pencil skirts and hobble skirts and everything in between those two form-fitting styles. And no cheating with slits to increase your stride. PJ We have somethng in common besides heels then but I'm afraid I cheat because I need to have slits in my straight skirts to be able to walk but my hobble skirts(not for work!!)have zips to limit the stride to almost nothing. A proper hobble skirt! Sue

  4. Now that got my attention. Nothing like heels with a hobble skirt.

    PJ

Calm dowm PJ, I said "almost a hobble".

Some how I don't think I would get much done wearing a hobble skirt to work, also I'd never be able to climb the stairs!

  5. I think that sex has no bearing on the wearing of heels as I make my husband wear 5" stilletoes most of the time and he probably walks in them better than most women I know, also there are alot of women who can't even walk in heels, so if they were supposed to be "better at it" then they should supposedly find it a lot easier. I think it is a practice thing because in society women are allowed to wear them and men are not, therefore most women have at least some practice at wearing heels before they're even 13 whilst most men, on the otherhand, haven't a clue about wearing them or even a chance! Sorry lads Sue

  6. When I wear my shoes or boots I feel my best when I'm wearing a smart, fitted skirt-suit that has a long, very straight (almost a hobble) skirt with my full length leather coat. For some reason I actually prefer my day to day wear over my night or casual wear even though they're not exactly "boring" either. Sue

  7. I asked my wife for her point of view on this topic as she often wears 3,4,5 and 6 inch heels while driving. She was quite amused that there was even a debate about it?

"Yes you work your ankle slightly differently, but that is it.....adapt and move on, adapt and move on." was her reply.

Thats a good moto for wearing heels!!

    Sue 13

  8. I drive in stilleto boots all the time and, to be honest I think they are easier to drive in than my courts. I think the fact the ankles are less flexible is a bonus when driving in heels. Mind, it could be personal preference, what suits one person might not suit another. I'm not too keen on automatic cars myself, but as I've not driven many I can't say I'm qualified to judge or even that I'm used to it, so its either drive a manual for me or walk! Sue

  9. Hello everyone I own a leather skirt-suit, I wore it firday night, but I've never worn it to work though, I've also got a small collection of leather skirts that I've never worn to work either, though I have thought about it on numerous occasions but never quite felt brave enough when the morning comes around. Sue

  10. You and I, Laurieheels, must have a similar taste in clothing because I also wore a grey business suit today except mine a had a long straight skirt and I wore my HH boots. I've also got a teal coloured silk blouse like Mistress M and if she wears it with HH's there are going to be a few strained necks at college!! Good luck by the way Sue

  11. Hi everybody, time to face the jury!! Name: Sue Age: 32 Gender: F Location: Somerset, UK Occupation: PA (glorified secretary) Height: 5.8" Weight: **** Shoe size: UK 7 What's your favourite heel style: Stilleto ( the thinner the better) What's your favourite shoe style: Knee-boots, Courts Do you wear your heels outside: When don't I wear them!! What is: (a) Your favourite heel height: 5" ( Your highest heel height: 6" How often do you wear: (a) Your favourite heel height: Nearly all the time ( Your highest heel height: Rarely Do you wear socks, hose, stockings or bare feet with your shoes: Tights & Stockings Anything else you wish to add: I'm a boot fanatic and I love leather!

  12. I agree with Laurieheels on this one, I feel almost naked without 5"spikes on my heels though I have and do wear 4 1/2" heels quite alot. I actually started by wearing a pair of my mums 5" stilleto courts and felt quite comforable with them even though my mum wouldn't let me wear anything over 3 1/2 inches until I was 15. Sue

  13. When I'm driving I use a sheepskin pad that I found advertised in a cheap/gimmick catalogue that we have put through the door here in the UK, to go over the hard bit by the pedals to protect my heels. As for my feet under the desk I'm quite lucky as I don't seem to have any problem unlike the carpet under it, which is "a little bit" damaged, though my boss doesn't seem to mind because he bought me a carpet mat for it. How nice! Sue

  14. I'm going out tonight for a meal with the girls, so its a fitted, black leather skirt suit with a plum coloured silk blouse, and black, seamed stockings all topped off with my black leather, 5" stilleto courts with the pointed toes. Sue

  15. Hello everybody I should've done this a couple of days ago but I'm new to this and I was just so amazed and happy that I've found some like minded people who felt the same way that I did, that I had to start talking!! I'm from the UK, and as you've probably already guessed from my replies, I love HH boots and like you all, loves to wear high heels (preferably nothing lower than 4") all the time. Sue13
