  1. Adeana, I have allowed the very same thing to happen to me a few times by allowing my hubby to for me on trips. This has been by mutual consent and always with some interesting outcomes. I love how you rolled with it and " very OK...was kinda fun-frisky outcome.... it was the shock value that go me." The shock value can be amazing. It has been interesting seeing my hubby's limits and my limits when we are away from home. I look forward to each of these trips with a new excitement and have found that some of the limits I had for closer to home no longer exist. We mutually agreed to donate all my heels lower than 5" to a local women's shelter and I can say I don't miss any of my 4" or 4 1/2" heels. By the way, they loved the donation. Hopefully, in 2009, more adventures await all of us. Peggy

  2. Duplicate shoes - i have two kinds: I buy a pair and love them and go back and get them in different colors - i love this kind. The other is when i buy something exactly like i already have. I hate that but it happens a few times a year. On the bright side it is another reason to go back and shop after i do the return. happy shopping to all, Peggy

  3. Like Roz, a few years ago we have coverted a spare room into a large walk-in closet and dressing room for me. My husband built a series of shelves to store my heels and boots. He was amazed that I had accumulated 146 pairs but he made sure there was room for more. Yippee! Peggy

  4. SwtPam, Your last response filled in many of the blanks in your story. If you truly enjoy being a bit dominant, then I say go for it, have fun, enjoy. I have just a little experience with this but I drew the line at the requests to use my heels on him, other than the usual carressing of the inner thigh or calf. I wish you well on your adventures. Take care, Peggy

  5. I am surprised there haven't been more responses. There are corsets and corset want-a-bees. If your buget it tight, save to get a real one. The others are waste (not waist) of money. Like heelsrule, sienna, fashionista and thehighheelsgirl, I own several custom corsets. I am not talented enough to lace them properly alone but hubby or a g/f seem to always be willing to help. I love wearing them hidden or showing, depending on my mood and the occassion. I do tend to wear them a bit more if I have fallen off my diet. You can wear them with just about anything, of course my husband perfers them with just heels but tolerates them (oh yeah) as part of an outfit. Go to a local corset shop, if your lucky to have one, and simply try a few on and ask a lot of questions. The owners will be glad to help you. Be careful, like wearing heels, wearing corsets is also very addictive. Have fun shopping, Peggy

  6. Roz,

I agree with you. Crocs just don't do anything for me. The same with Uggs. I love the classics but also willing try anything that might be interesting. Pumps, Mules, Peep toes, Wedges, heeled boots, especially into ankle boots but I have the others too.

I did check out shoebunny and I know some people love these but you couldn't pay me to wear these: http://www.shoebunny.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/balenciaga-gladiator-sandals-rihanna-b-3.jpg

The designers need people with a variety of taste or lack there of.

    Happy shopping to all,

    Peggy

  7. SwtPam, You have gotten a lot of wonderful advice and interestingly you have decided to continue. Maybe you two are meant for each other. I am sure he is nice and romantic <who doesn't want that> and you kinda enjoy it - the crushing stuff. Do you mind a few questions? You have my curiousity peaked. With all that said, I would be thinking about setting strong limits on what you will and will not do. Best of luck, Peggy

  8. I have been getting those catty comments for over 20 years, usually from women in their 40s - 50s. Most of it seems to be about putting anyone down that dares to be different and/or hasn't packed on the pounds and lost their shape. Men on the other hand seem to have become much more obvious in their admiration of heels. I used to find guys what would sneak a peek at my heels but now they downright stare. I find youner women wearing taller heels now especially when i am out dancing. So there I just blend in. There will always be those that can't believe you actually wear those and it doesn't kill your feet. They may have had bad experiences when they were younger or its just the kind of person they are to have to cut someone else down. Just hold your head high, I usually don't even bother to answer some of the comments i have heard. Enjoy, PnP

  9. I am usually in skirts. I love them all. I used to never wear heels with jeans but after seeing my hubby and others reactions I never miss the opportunity to wear heels with jeans. Peggy

  10. How tall are you?

    5ft 1in

Are you happy with your height?

Not really. I would love to have been taller but I am making the best of what I have.

Does your height have any bearing on why you wear heels?

In the beginning, OMG yes. Now, not so much. I wear them now for me and how i look and feel.

What would be your perfect height?

    Maybe 5ft 5in

How does your height compare to your partner?

My hubby is 6'2", so he has 13 inches on me barefoot and 5 to 9 inches when i am in heels.

    Peggy

  11. I do not think they have helped or hurt my career. I dress professionally and I wear 4" to 5" heels everyday. I know some women frown on my choices but I kill them with kindness and overwhelm them with my skills and desire. What I have found is that so much depends on how you carry yourself and your skills. If you don't have skills, a pair of heels might get you noticed and some may favor you at work but in the end we are working harder, trying to do more with less people. So smile, work smart and look fabulous:smile:
