  1. The Laureen's are REALLY nice. Shame they only go up to sz 11. I take a sz 13, can fit in 12W, but would have probably tried these in a 12 if they were available.

For others that like them, here are some links:

This Amazon links shows all 4 colors of them:

This Zappo's link includes a video segment:

To give equal time, these are the Tylera boots:

Curious, on the Laureen boots, what's the noise level on the soles and heels when walking?

souls are quiet but heels are loud. just quietend the heels down today

  2. the short boots are Lucky Brand called laureen and the mid calf boots are JS Tylera. 9.5. 4" heel full grain leather. Have worn them both out with longish jeans and carpenter tan jeans, walmart, foodlion, so on. It seems the more you pay for very good quality built boots the longer you can stay out in them, like you forget your in heels at all.Just what ive discovered anyway.

  3. This looks just like Karos design K-0257 except that shoe had an ankle strap and this one doesn't. Every time I've seen it it was going for around $225 or so. To my knowledge this is the highest-heel available in the US without getting into custom work. I'd always wondered if any of our forumers had ever bought a pair and how they worked out. Thanks for the photos.

your absolutly right. i cut the staps off for some dumb reason and yes it was a lot of money for these. i needed to feel what a nine inch heel felt like to wear and didnt want to pay custom fit prices. maybe i should have.

  4. The shoe show website is very slow (cannot acces the women's boots section)

Can you tell me the model name of you Timberland boots ?

Will do a search on the internet by the model name instead.

Quite sure another store may sell them...

And thank you for telling me they run a little tight :-)

    the box says WOMEN`S FEMMES 83357 M/M

some pairs of boots i ordered from aldo arrived today. Alas all are too tight. I can safely say that aldo sizing runs small. All were uk9 which they convert to eu42. This suggests they might run small but i was surprised at just how small. I usually take uk9/eu43, sometimes uk8/eu42.

nothing lost since delivery was free and so is the return.

Compare this to next. The other day i tried on a pair of uk8/eu42 clog boots in a store and the fit was about right. The uk9/eu43 were huge on me - i would have needed insoles or very thick socks. Didn't buy them in the end because i didn't like them enough to spend the money.

i guess im going to have to try on those gallian otk boots. Like your style at9
