  1. I've been looking for a modestly priced 6" heel with a very pointed toe. This video is a good example of what I'm looking for:

I'm also eyeing these two pairs from Peter Chu, but I may have to sell my current pair to fund that purchase, hence, "modestly" priced.

If you have any suggestions at all, please post a few links for me to check out.

  2. I own just one pair of Peter Chu 6" super arch heels - you can see them in my avatar.

I will preface this by saying that I am pretty stocky at about 230 lbs. Also, I was in a car accident that bent my right toe backwards and there is still occasional pain there.

That being said, I can *only* stand up and walk in the super arch 6" heels. I have a few cheaper brands - Ellie, Pleaser. 6" with no platform, and I can BARELY stand in them. I usually try them on, enjoy how they look, and that's it.

But for the money I paid for my super arch heels, I think I enjoy them more than the others combined.

  3. Everyone needs to watch to the 1:50 mark when the twelve male dancers come out, all wearing stilettos. I posted a similar video in the "youtube" thread, but mine was a performance on a morning show, not something this grandiose.

  4. I've seen female dancers do worse in that height.

Not sure if I liked the opening vocals - the backing harmony was a bit off but got better, music ok. Not sure about the SS uniforms and hot pants yep I'll have a pair of the shoes please.

    Thanks for posting

    Al

Yeah, it seems like Ke$ha herself sounds okay, but the backup singers were... ugh. They really stunk up that song.

Also, the male dancer on the left seemed to be slightly more confident in the shoes, most noticeably when they go really low to the floor. But they both did a great job.

  5. So who's to say that this video wasn't meant for all those that like "women who wobble in heels"?

Well, the video WAS posted by WobbleFan.

Personally, I liked this video. I've seen hundreds of videos of women (and men) walking like experts in super-high heels. This video reminds me of how I look when I try to walk in my impossible pairs.

You can even hear them laughing... they're having a good time.

I personally enjoyed the white outfit/heels best.

  6. I just wanted to report that I received my Steve Madden Caryssa shoes today, in black suede. I love them! At size 11, the heel is 5.5" exactly. I didn't measure the platform. They definitely do run exactly a half size large. So, the size 11 fits like an 11.5... and is probably the best-fitting pair of heels I have in my collection because of this.

  7. Just checked their website, and when you click on "Questions? Contact us." it says the e-mail is:

    sales@snaz75.com

Then, I looked under their "customer service" link, and it gave yet another e-mail address:

    customerservice@snaz75.com

You know, I've ordered from them before, and didn't have this problem. They've been around a long time... this stinks.

I tried adding all different sizes of the "Hottie" pump, and no matter what I tried, it was out of stock. Dammit. Now I'm back to square one with the subject of this thread: http://www.hhplace.org/guys/17049-these_real_louboutins_also_question_about_hottie_style.html

    Bummer!

  8. Had she see your pair before? Or' date=' was she even aware that you had them?[/quote']

Yes, she knows all about my shoes, and we have a lot of fun with it. She loves going shoe shopping with me, and she trusts my taste quite a bit. Though, she likes peeptoes, and I really don't.

I kept my whole heel thing a secret from my last girlfriend, which I don't really regret because she ended up being crazy. With my current girlfriend, I decided to ease her into the idea, which worked very well. She probably wouldn't be too keen about me wearing girly heels outside, but aside from that she enjoys everything else about this little quirk of mine.

Yeah, I find that Burlington Coat factory's shoes only go up to 10 in most sizes, and if they do go up to 11, it's probably a lower-heeled style that I wouldn't buy anyway.

  9. Well, I've actually already purchased her quite a few pairs of heels, including some "bedroom only" ones. Though now you guys are making me regret it, because I liked them so much. It was funny, we were shopping that day, and she decided on the pointy-toed patent pumps... and I also own that same exact pair in size 11. I was like - "You do realize that I bought these way before you did, right?" Ah, that was a fun day.

  10. I actually spotted these shoes a few weeks ago at Marshall's (a discount clothing store). It looked like they had a full shipment of them, but the largest size carried was size 10. Bummer, as they had a nice discount (I think they wanted $50 for them). I convinced my girlfriend (who was shopping for heels) to try these on, and I snapped a few pictures with my phone. She ended up buying a more sensible pair, which is the third picture (these were bought at Shoe Dept. Only $20, and she wore them out to dinner that night!) I went back to that same store a week later, and they were completely sold out. Unbelievable. Then, I saw a girl at a local ale house wearing them. She was having trouble, but wore them all night, from what I could tell.

  11. I just purchased these, because I discovered that they are available in size 11. If what Histiletto says is true (running a half size larger than what is marked) then I'll be very happy with them, as I'm more of an 11.5.

  12. I'd be damned if I'd let a woman make me sell MY heels. That man needs to, excuse the expression, "grow a pair."

The fact that she referenced it in the sale is dispicable. That is, unless he's into this whole "humliation" thing, in which case - maybe it was HIS idea. Eh,

  13. I used to hide them in a large box in my closet. Sadly, this often destroys cheaper heels over time. So, I started saving the original boxes, and just storing them in those. Just keep them out of sight. Really, I think you will get past caring if your parents find out. I did.
