  1. Here is an outfit I was messing around with the other day. I don't think I would wear it out of the house at this point. I would like to but I don't see it in the cards.

    Anyhow, opinions please.

    The outfit itself:

    - guess pumps

    - guess skinny jeans

    - white womens top

    - black wide belt

    Mr. X,

I actually like that outfit and works well on you but I think you should probably wear some type of fitted undergarment under your top as I can see your chest showing through. Also, would be nice to see the head that goes with the body for further analysis.

  2. Thank You Tazzer for your kind words. I am actually considering a move to Hubpages to gain more freedom to write what I want especially on a more national level rather than local. As you all well know it is hard enough to find good stories about men and fashion on a national or global level much less a local one here in the south of all places.

  3. Hello All,

I just recently began writing for Examiner.com as the mens fashion examiner for Greenville, SC. You can read some of my first articles here:

    http://www.examiner.com/mens-fashion-7-in-greenville/aaron-burke

iThougi have yet to write aboutmen wearing heels I plan to do so. I have written a couple articles about skirt /kilt wearing and hosiery. I am trtong to promote fashion freedom as much as I am able. Please take a look and if you like the articles feel free to comment and like or follow me. The more popularity I gain the bigger our voice.

    Thanks,

    Aaron

  4. Well said Steve and I suppose I should have issued the following disclaimer that: such is the case with exception to a spouse as when a couple is married, "the two shall become one flesh" and therefore as two enjoined as such, the other's opinion or tastes are to be taken into account and respect commanded. However, long term partners are quite different.

  5. The rock singer in the last photo seemed well put together, others...not so much. I think that like other subjects of history, a good bit has been forgotten concerning men's fashion. If one could not attend a public school or a college and get true, complete and unadulterated history concerning governments, nations and religions why should men's fashion be any different? I have personally concluded that men, especially in the United States, have intentionally been socially confined to the limited fashion choices expressed that are near militaristic for several reasons. I may have expressed this opinion before so therefore I will stop there. If anyone is interested I will post more. Above all, never forget that silence is consent. To let another, a job or society's pressures decide what you wear or any other thing for that matter is to give them control. You are no longer the captain! Aaron

  6. Without performing actual inventory I would say my collection is about half what is considered "men's" and the other half of course what is considered "women's." I have not purchased any "men's" in a couple of years now. I have a few pair of "men's" boots and sandals that are actually stylish and the rest are the necessities such as a pair of sneakers and some work boots. Even my wife who has strong opinions admits that the "men's" section in the shoe department is very boring and seriously lacking in any style or fashion.

  7. Because mens shoes are boring boring boring. I started highlight my hair a few years ago because of the same problem.

I have to agree. I yawn every time I even glance at a man's shoe it seems. I highlighted my hair for a while also some time ago which proved to be a lot of fun as well as a compliment magnet. I have medium length hair which is also not normal but I have received a lot of positive attention and compliments about it from women and men. The women think it looks great and the men want to know where I got it done so they can do the same! I think it just goes to show that if you be yourself and creative there is no room for criticism or judgment.
  8. While I am from Arkansas myself, I certainly hope this young mand is NOT! Our state suffers enough grief without "hillbilly transvestites." Some still accuse us of not wearing shoes to begin with. If men wearing heels are not taken seriously, this could in high probability be one of the major reasons as to WHY.

  9. I think there is much to be said of the word "social" Histiletto. I think you are about to stumble upon something there. When that word is spoken the first thing that comes to my mind is "socialism" and I think of countries like Russia, China and even my own. I know this is not a political forum but I think fashion has every bit as much to do with such things as any other. I believe fashion and the limit of choice in expression for men is an agenda more than a "natural" response as to what men and women should wear or do. I heard a man once quote another in saying that art is usually the last thing to go when a society crumbles. I believe fashion and expressing one's self through his/her clothing or shoes is not only art but creativity as well. I wear heels not because they make me feel feminine or that they are comfortable (although some are, some are not depending on choice), but rather because I like the way a particular shoe looks and how it blends with my outfit. Honestly, the shoe could be a flat or a four inch heel for all I care as long as I like the way it looks. However, I am finding that I shop mostly in the so called women section because that is where the majority of stylish shoes are and I usually choose heels because they seem to look the best and making my foot look smaller doesn't hurt either! I used to be in the "feminine" trap but have since found through self exploration that it was another one of those "social" traps. It seems we all want to be part of a group, or most. These days we are taught to be social and part of the herd rather than standing out, being different or creative. Without sounding like a conspiracy theory nut I think it is executed purposely so that men lose their creativity and expression which contains a lot of our power to think freely and invent or create and not be submissive to others or movements. It is just too coincidental to me that men were some of the first to wear heels and such men were of upper class and power. They also had some of the most colorful and fashionable clothing as well as robes and skirts yet now we are confined "socially" to a near prison outfit which looks pretty much the same as the next guy standing near you. I have probably said too much and gone too far with this post but maybe it will get you to think! LOL Aaron

  10. Just a quick update on the Nine West ventures of mine. It is rather late in my posting but I apologize as I have been busy. I had no success as it seems the Nine West shoes I tried were more of a US size 11 rather than 12, especially pointed toe styles. It is a shame really as I find I like most of their styles. The search continues for great looking affordable shoes.... Aaron

  11. Wow, I have to say these are some great pictures, probably some of the best I have seen on the forum so far. You seem to have a good sense of style and of course have a great SKINNY body like you do definitely helps! I think my favorite picture is the bathroom mirror photo as well. I like how you paired the black top and skirt with an accent of red high heels, very nice pop. I saw a young woman in the local grocery store the other day that had on a nice white top, black skirt and RED peep toe heels. She looked great and probably one of only the few women in my area who has it together! I actually think if you cleaned up your hair a little with a style and trim, learned how to work that face and pose like a model you could work the runway! Nice job, love the boots too, not over the top like some things I have seen guys do. Keep up the good work! Aaron

  12. Personally, I am not religious at all yet there is good religion, pure (James 1:27). If I die it matters not to me what people will think. I will be asleep until the second coming of Christ as will all dead be (Psalms 6:3-5, 115:17, 146:4; Ecclesiastes 9:5-6; Isaiah 38:18). Then once Christ returns I will awaken and arise from my grave transformed and join Him in the clouds (1 Thessalonians 4:16). I use the King James authorized version by the way. God is also of the masculine as seen in the Word of God. God does care about everything by the way for if He didn't we would be toast already. Hope this clarifies some things and I apologize if this is off topic. Aaron

  13. Hello everyone again,

I want to get more advice from you all about proper shoe fit. I recently ordered a pair of flats which I know is not part of this site discussion but still I know you all can help. This is the shoe here:

    http://www.endless.com/indigo-Clarks-Womens-Peony-Flat/dp/B000WETBM2/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1217518916484&cAsin=B000WEFYT6&asinTitle=indigo%20by%20Clarks%20Peony%20Flat&asins=B0012DIW22%2CB000WEJSJS%2CB000WEJSEI%2CB000WEFYT6%2CB000WEFZ0O%2CB000P50B5O%2CB000WELN5K%2CB000WELM88&sr=1-4&contextTitle=Search%20Results&fromPage=search&sort=relevancerank&showDesigner=2&node=242169011&keywords=peony

When I tried them on I found that the left fit just fine but with my right foot it kind of felt like my big toe was a little too close to the point of the front portion of the shoe. It seems my toe is getting pretty close to the inside of the tip of the shoe. I guess my question is, what distance and where should your toe lie from the front of the shoe? I am also having a little trouble with the vamp (is that what you call it?) of the shoe rubbing where my big toe meets the mass of my foot and wonder if this is normal sometimes. Maybe I should wear knee highs or hose with them until they are broke in. Your thoughts and opinions are appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Aaron

  14. On one of my visits to Payless I purchased these peep toe wedges

    Posted Image

    They are rather comfortable also.

    rx

Nice nail color! I saw a lady the other day wearing some zebra striped sandals and her feet were nicely done in a similar orange but more neon. I love that. I need to start wearing colored polish rather than nudes and white tips.

  15. Just this one pair, out in public once (to a club), and the reaction was great....but my feet hurt like heck.

That is a nice looking shoe StilletoScot yet I can see why your feet hurt afterwords!

    Aaron

  16. Spikeheels, those are very nice looking heels, beautiful but not sure I would wear those out in public either. I was thinking more of about 3" or so, wedge possibly, sling back or not with possibly a criss cross over the peep toe portion. Maybe something like this:

    http://www.endless.com/Naturalizer-Womens-Strappy-Slingback-Wedge/dp/B0012E0PAS/ref=sr_1-90/?cAsin=B0012DZ6DK&asinTitle=Naturalizer%20Wow%20Strappy%20Slingback%20Wedge&&colors=&size=100&page=10&dept=242169011&node=242169011&nodes=242169011&brands=&keywords=&s

    or this:

Hope the links work. T-strap lover, can you elaborate more on your response? Do you wear them all the time, out in public, etc? Thank you all for your responses.

    Aaron

  17. Hello everyone, hope you are having a great day. I wanted to ask everyone a question. Have any of you purchased or currently own any peep toed heels or flats and if so do you wear them in public? What kind of reactions have you had? I know that Jean Paul Gaultier had introduced peep toed wedges sometime back but didn't seem to catch on. I would like to try this style but would like opinions about it. How do you think this style would look on us guys? Thanks for the help. Aaron

  18. Thank you all for your input. It is truly appreciated and welcomed. I will let you know what I decide on as I have authorization from the boss (wife) to purchase another pair of shoes! Aaron
