  1. Not my taste, but I do see a beauty in what he's designed. And what I wouldn't give get be able to pick the color of shoe I want. It'd be nice to get something beside black. I've heard of scientists using 3D printing to create layers of skin and other cells. So who knows, perhaps we'll see a custom leather ox blood boots printed at your home 3D printer, just pay for the design.

  2. I've never been able to afford Choo-level shoes. But I have noticed a difference in quality between by $250 boots vs my $60 boots. The $250 boots have lasted several years with some minimal maintenance. The $60 boots fell apart after a few years, no cobbler was able to fix them.

  3. It's not a simple answer for me. OTK boots are great when they are the right height and work well for me when I'm looking to fit in. THB are a definite attention grabber. When you're looking for eyes to be on you, THB are the way to go!.

  4. I think I would do the same. I feel that wearing heels gives me more self-esteem and inclines me towards healthier lifestyle options. As I've become more comfortable wearing heels in public, that sense of self-esteem has spread through my life so it's not like I have to wear heels to feel it, I just enjoy the sense of fun and self-expression wearing them. As for clothes shopping, I think that wearing heels makes me more discerning of what items might work for me, but also more likely to buy it when I find it.

I think wearing heels when shopping for clothes is essential. You never know if the cut of your slacks/jeans will fit with your heels.

  5. Update - Just got the Qupid boots in today and they really look pretty good.  They are quite a bit smaller looking then they appear online, but fit me perfectly.  They look like typical men's shoes with jeans, but are smaller than a man's shoe would be and are actually sort of cute.  Definitely not at all obvious that I have a ~3.5" heel on, just looks like I am sort of small footed is the only thing   :) .  Anyway, I am going to buy another pair right now in dark brown since they are running out of them in my size.

Nice! How do they feel when walking? Driving?

  6. I did the same the other night when I bought my new pair of UGG's wedge heel sandals. (See my post on, "Who has bought some new shoes") I was dealing with the owner of the shoe store, an Amer/Asian woman who was a great help and support with my shoe purchase. In fact she called me to stop in to look at the sandals as she knew that I liked wearing heels. She mentioned to me, that she has fitted men with heels on several occasions.

  8. I totally hadn't thought of that! Maybe I don't have the body shape to shorten my skinny jeans like that, though perhaps I can use a long-line waterfall cardigan to re-balance my proportions and disguise my thunder-thighs. That could work with leggings too. I really like that it creates a feature of the ankle-straps rather than trying to hide them, and you're right, "chic" is the word. Thanks! (If I succeed I'll have to post a pic of course).

You're right, that's probably why I've always felt more comfortable wearing my t-bar or ankle-strap heels with bootcut trousers (or a knee-length pencil skirt).

When you make a decision, take a pic for us! I'd love to see how you pull it off :fine:
