  1. She will probably be a surprised at first but just stay calm and answer what she asks, remember you're still the same person. Or it could be like my current girlfriend who had kinda heard rumours before and so it really didn't change anything at all just clearing things up a bit.

  2. I know exactly what you're feeling there, I had it a couple times. When it was all still secret I would get some heels and have them for maybe a year or so. Then I would start doubting what I am doing and thinking I don't need these and get rid of them thinking that I'm through with the whole thing. Of course a couple of months later the urge to wear heels is back and I'm all excited by having some again. After doing that twice I admitted to myself that this was something to stay and it became not so secret and so now its becoming more normal for me to go out in heels. As for you, it could be a phase still but you've already told people about it, gone out and such like so its unlikely. If you keep getting an urge to want to wear them though after a while its probably going to stick with you so might as well enjoy it.

  3. I tend to keep them in discreet locations. I used to hide them when I was at home, then for a time I hid them in places that although you wouldn't see them obviously if you looked in the right spot they were pretty obvious. For example under my desk, its a small room and so you can't really walk for enough in to get the right angle to see under while standing. Now my parents know about it, they just go out of obvious sight but hardly hidden. While I'm at uni they simply go at the bottom of a big cupboard, its a pretty natural place for putting shoes but no one knows unless they open the door.

  4. I havn't gone out too many times so thats why I wore long trousers, just helps give me the confidence to go out to start with. As for my friend, I've told her basically everything about it before and she doesn't care what I wear at all. So all she said about it was that they had a pretty decent sized heel on and how I could walk around all day in them. She never wears heels so was quite impressed by that.

  5. If you want to go for it then sure but I think you would need some creative thinking for what to wear with it so they didn't look too out of place with everything else going on. The same goes for women wearing pink shoes, they can look really strange if the outfit doesn't fit them. I doubt I would ever be so bold as to do it though unless it all becomes really mainstream.

  6. Don't worry too much about family and friends, the thing is they have known you for a long time and you have been thinking about heels for a long time also. So they we will realise its not a sudden change but that they have known a guy who likes to wear heels for some time. Of course they will ask questions like why you like them and stuff but them trying to further understand what you're feeling, have a think about what you might reply before maybe but don't worry too much you're still the same person.

  7. Not a thread about oxford style shoes although they do look really cool. I havn't been out properly for ages, I don't really think walking around where I live (shared kitchen and stuff) counts. Anyway I went to visit a good friend in Oxford and since I don't really know anyone in Oxford and she knows (first person I told in fact) I thought I might as well take the opportunity. So I get on the train to Oxford and its pretty quiet so I put on my shoes ready to get out a different man. I've never gone across London in heels, it seems I always end up in a bit of a hassled mess on the underground so best not to have another thing complicating it. So I somewhat nervously got off in Oxford and found her at the station, no comments and all was good. Later we went for a walk around the town, quite busy around as normal and I don't think anyone noticed even and by this point I didn't care anyway. It turned into by far the longest walk I have done in heels and left my feet aching a bit at the end of the day but it was really good. The only problems were all the old streets with cobbles and grates on things that are really hard/impossible to walk over with heels. Also they won the boat race, kinda sucks when you're the only Cambridge student in an Oxford pub. You can see I wore them under long jeans so they were pretty hidden to people not paying much attention, like normal. Also my duck had a fun time :winkiss:

  8. Well speaking as a kid (seems strange saying that being 21 now but it seems a similar age). You could basically get away with wearing anything you like, they don't have to go around with you, their friends are old enough to not take the piss constantly. As for the best way to do it, never easy but so long as you feel comfortable to say what you gotta say but don't do it with family meeting, that would just be offputting.

  9. Put simply, yes, but I've only really talked about it to my brother. My parents have seen my shoes for certain but havn't said anything about it yet but its clearly all fine or they would say something. Most my real life friends don't know though but most online friends do and they're all fine with it. To everyone who still has it as a total secret its probably not worth your effort keeping it secret as they will still love you and quite quite probably have noticed already and are just waiting for you to say something.

  10. I saw a guy heeling today for the first time (as in not a full transvestite) and I bet £10 the guy is on these boards  Anyone I was on the train from Aberdeen to London and when it stopped at Peterborough I saw a guy (I think) get off the train and walk down the platform past where I was half asleep. I normally look out at stations in case there are any nice shoes on display and was a bit surprised to see the winner in some nice brown boots with maybe 3-4 inch heel was a guy. Also respect for heeling while carrying quite a large suitcase, that makes things tricky.

  11. I've actually done several of the options here depending on what I was feeling like. Firstly I live in halls at university so I get loads of people knocking on my door but usually the same few friends although they don't know, havn't mentioned anything about my heels. On the times where they have come in while I had them on they havn't noticed anything. Other times I quickly take them off and say I was sleeping so took a while to get to door (this isn't too strange either since I have a random sleeping pattern). When I'm really not in the mood for anything though I just don't open the door.
