  1. Hi,

I proudly wear heels, I even flaunt them at times...

I don't find women disapprove, only a very few do, I get lots of compliments on my legs/heels from many women and some men. Those that disapprove keep it pretty quiet but I can still tell.

The few times I have been dissapproved of by a woman I have played to the gallery so to speak. I think its fair to say that in these cases I have always out-heeled the disapprover, so I'll cross her/their path deliberately, sit opposite, cross my legs in their direction, demonstrate my unconditional comfort and ability in the clothes I choose to wear. This way they know that I don't recognise any of their disapproval.

I have never had any women openly speaking out-loud to the room/ yelling abuse etc..

I think that older women (10-15yrs older than me) are most likely to disapprove, younger are more open minded.

    Cheers

    Heel-Lover

My experiences mirror Heel-Lover's. I've had more compliments from women than from men, who seemed interested yet embarassed to approach me at the time. I don't wear women's clothes, just high-heeled shoes (mainly Oxfords). One woman (a professional) said she trusted me in heels more than her female colleagues as she knew I was wearing them for myself, & therefore less likely to be hiding something or sending a mixed message, which was something I'd never thought about before...

  2. I live in Berlin but have not bought any heels there. Central/west areas probably better - Berlinerins are not huge heel wearers - the pavements here can be crappy (in every sense of the word!), & you'll find the most wearers in the old west part of the city. There is a high heel shop on Kantstrasse, but the selection is a bit tacky for my taste. Be warned! Shoes are expensive in Germany! Good luck!

  3. I see this seems to be focussing on shopping. Mmm, I don't like stress when shopping. I tend to be an 'informed shopper' - find what I want, research, try & buy. I'm not so into sales patter, so I'd be a little circumspect about another person approaching me, unless it was a casual exchange of opinion. It has nothing to do with heels, I had this in a computer peripheral store recently as well, some guy was exhorting me to buy a particular type of printer. He wasn't staff, just another customer. I don't like shopping, just owning & experiencing!

  4. I won't - I love my heels & I love to have full & total control of the car. I have walked out of a fatal road smash, not nice. A female friend of mine smashed her neighbour's car cos of her heels (luckily @ 10mph). That put her off heels, but not driving! If you really must, find a quiet road out of town & away from kids. As my friend said when she hit her neighbour's car, 'it could've been a kid'. The neighbour was really cool about it, I guess he wasn't gonna shout too much when confronted with a sobbing blonde wearing black patent platform stilettoes! I'm all for killer heels, not killer drivers! Plus travelling in cars with heels can really mess with them!

  5. A sociologist friend of mine (female) did a study about gender attitudes & fashion a few years back. She made an interesting point that the percentage of men who don't women in heels is about the same here as the percentage of women who don't like men in heels. I've met female heel wearers who don't like men in heels, but no male heel wearers who don't like women in heels.

  6. Hi, I'm returning to the site after a while away, in which I moved countries. Lost all my ID details & stuff in move & whatever, so I have a new ID. I'm a guy & love high heels, both to wear & to admire. Always good to be around like-minded people. My life is quite lectic, so I dunno how regular I'll be on here, but I wish you all a happy new year!
