  1. It took her a while to get used to her 3 inch heels. She was doing all kinds of stretches and practicing around her place. Then when she went to work with them the first day she had her flats with her as a back up. But she told me she left the heels on all day. I asked her a few times to meet after work to get a bite to eat. And she never had her flats on. Always the heels. Some of the places we would eat at was kind of far from the place we parked the cars. I never thought she would have her heels on. She mastered the 3 inch like as if the heel was not there. When she saw the new shoes with the 4 inch heel she did not notice the extra inch. She just sat down and put them on and while sitting she just said they need to be broken in before she could bring them to work. She looked at them and said wow the thin heel makes them steeper then my other pair. I just said well are you going to stand up so I can see how they look. She got up and said wow.. they are so high. Looks like I will be busy getting this pair broken in... She still needs a little practice but she will do it. It is amazing that just one inch can make such a difference in a womens shoe.

  2. * Comfy Loafer * Did you make it to the Aldo store ? My girlfriend went to work in them today. A few people noticed her heel hight a little higher. She had a few people tell her they liked the shoes. Even my girlfriend likes them even though she said it was not easy walking in them yet. They seem to be very well made.

  3. Went to the mall yesterday and there seems to be a trend going to Wedges. I am not a big fan of them and it seemed like there was 3 times more Wedges on the girls then heels. I did see a few with high clunky heels on. It looked like they were made of wood or something. I guess nice heels are on the way out for now. One good thing is the wedges and klunky shoes looked cheeply made so maybe they will not last very long and they will not buy more to replace them.

  4. I asked her how she was able to get so good handling the 3inch shoes and she told me a stretching routine she did every moring and in the evening. A friend of hers told her by kneeling and sitting on her feet it would help stretch her legs . Then she would stand on the edge of a stair and go up on her toes as high as she could and back down as low as she could go. She said it was a real work out for her legs. I told her I will go with her this week to find another pair for her with the a 3 inch heel just so she can work up to the 4 inch over time.

  5. Hi everyone, Maybe some of you remember some of my posts a while ago about my girlfriend not wearing highheels. Well she ended up getting an office job and she had to start dressing the part. We found a pair for her that was a 3 inch heel. She was not very good at walking in them but after a few weeks she was great. Well she never thought she could master the 3 inch heel and she did. She was kind of excited about it in a way. She kind of knows now that I love highheels on women. After 5 1/2 inchs It does nothing for me. Well I bought a pair from Aldo called Fravel for her. They have a 4 inch heel.

Let me know what you think of them.. Anyone have a pair ?

  6. My guess is that they are all from the same factory. They just change the look of them for different store chains. Stuff like that is done all the time with products. Even with flat screen tvs and laptops. The stores can charge what ever they want. Most people never make the connection that they are seeing the same thing under the covering or features.

  7. I do like the answer that some feel they are fun to wear. Everyone is different and knowone will like the same thing. I am just concerned the real high heel pump will go away and all that people will be stuck with are platforms. In my mind when I see platform shoes I am always reminded of Frankenstein the monster http://i2.listal.com/image/1888645/936full-frankenstein-screenshot.jpg . Just watching tv sometimes you might come across a show about high heels and the first thing they do is measure the heel of a platform shoe and freak out because it is so high. but the shoe has 2 inch platform and they never say anything about that. I don't know how the rest of the world looks at platforms but I know in my office at work girls don't wear any platforms. Just pumps and maybe pumps with a low platform. There is a reason for that but I have no idea why. Keep in mind that this is just my perspective . I myself do not wear highheels but love seeing women in heels. I also have no problem with guys wearing heels. More power to you guys.

One other thing I read . One person said the pump is not stable like a platform. It only make sense the a pump would not be as stable as a plat form shoe. The heavier a person is the lass stable the pump would be. So a platform just might be the way to go.

  8. I've never been a fan of platforms. Typically they were ofter referred to as "stripper heels". Why that became sort of mainstream fashion, I'm not sure.

    Three guesses:

    - designers needed something different

    - designers really thought platforrms were attractive

    - the only/best to sell higher "heels" was to offset the effective height with a platform. Now, people that could only wear only handle a 4" height difference, sometimes as low as 3", can now buy a pair of 5" heels.

It drives me crazy when a girl brags that she walks all day in 5 inch heels. When they are 3 at most because of the platform. Christian Louboutin Is also getting into the platform look. I hope he keeps them low.

  9. I can say that I have been to most of the major stores here in Florida and the only places you will find a true 5 inch heal on a shoe with no platform is in the big stores like Macys or Neiman Marcus. Even then you will never see anything higher then 5 inch. Bring something with you that is 5 inches because the people that work there will not know heel hights on the shoes. They will call a 3 inch a 2 inch and a 5 inch a 3 or 4 inch. Good luck..

  10. Years ago when a high heel shoe was designed it was made to raise the heel and make the foot look smaller and the leg look longer. And it had a huge impacked on the fashion world. Then things went towards the platform shoe. And all people cared about was how high the platform was. Now in this era they are back to a combo shoe that has a high heel and a platform. All I hear people say is I just bought a pair of 5 inch high heels and when you see the shoe it is a 5 inch heel and a 1 or 2 inch platform. It does not make the foot look much smaller but it does make the leg look longer from behind. So now it seems people are not to concerned about what a high heel was ment for and what it did to the shape of the body and they now just care about the comfort. And looking sexy now seems to mean not being on your toes anymore. Unless they buy a shoe with a very high heel and a small platform. And that is a rare thing to see these days. Do others see things like that ? Maybe I am just old fashioned.

  11. UPDATE...We went to Macys in the mall and she found a few that she liked. But then the sales girl came over and helped her with a few more we did not see. The sales girl had a nice pair of heels on so I asked her if she was happy with her shoes ? She said she bought them here but they were $200. She said they were great shoes. My girlfriend put a pair on and loved them. And they had a 3.5 inch heel. The sales girl said she has been wearing hers all year with no problems. Here is a link I found to see the shoes. They are made by Isola and the name of the shoe is Wisteria. It was worth the extra money by the way she felt about the shoes.

  12. I had a friend at my last job that if you looked at him from the back you would think he was a women. He had his hair done better then most of the girls I worked with. He also got nail extensions. But from the front he looked like a guy. Never got to know him enough to know his story.

  13. Don't hesitate to spend a little more for better quality shoes.

Go to the store and feel how strong the heel is attached to the sole before buying.

Most "low cost" stiletto heels will tend to wabble after wearing them for a while.

For the look, you know what type of heels your girlfriend prefers. I cannot help you here !

For comfort, you said she can handle 3in heels. I understand you would prefer higher heels.

But why buying higher heels she would not be comfortable walking with all day at work ?

BTW you may want to edit your profile...

You made a typo in your location. It says "Unitrd States"...

Hi, Thanks for pointing out the typo..I fixed it. As for the comfort of the shoe. She said she was willing to try a little higher heel. But she wants better cushioning in the shoe.

What is a good brand name ?

  14. I have $150 and I want to buy my girlfriend a shoe she can wear to work. I know she can handle 3in heels at work so I will start with that. If I can find 3.5 heels I might buy them for her. The last pair she bought the heel seems to wobble after wearing them . She said when they were new it was sturdy. Whats the best in Ware ? comfort ? looks ? Help me out if you can..

  15. Well she came home with a few outfits and 2 pairs of shoes. Some black flat shoes and some black pumps that look just like her other pair. Same heel hight. She said that she wants to get some boots. I never liked basic looking boots on women but if she wants them so be it..

  16. Well my girlfriend just left to go shopping at the international mall in Tampa. It's nice place http://www.shopinternationalplaza.com/ . Anyway just before she left she was massaging her calf muscles. I guess they are being effected from her wearing her only pair of heels all week. She said her calfs don't hurt they just feel tight. She will be gone most of the day.

So is that a good thing or a bad thing ? Will she come home with nice heels or nothing ?

  17. Buying heels is not easy as well, as at the begining you might not know how to choose the right pair, and what to check to try if they fit correctly.

Well I guess she or her two friends will know how to fit her in shoes. Time will tell. She has not complained about sore feet so I guess she is doing ok with the shoes she has. She just needs practice walking in them.

  18. Hi Mike. I hope u will success. For me its easier cause Im 6'8" so any girl I meet must wear at least 7 inches. Grow up to mine size and it would be easier :)

    Good luck!

Ha Ha, I am 6'0 and she is 5'6. The dress code is not the same for her now with the new job. I know she will not be wearing sneekers to work anymore. If she puts on heels maybe me and her will see eye to eye ..lol

  19. Here is a little update. She is going to buy a few new outfits for work next weekend. She is going with two of her girl friends to pick things out. I know one of the friends wears heels to work for her job. So maybe she will come home with some new shoes. I can't see her wearing the same shoes everyday. No girl does that I know of. I am just taking a back seat and watching what happens. I have to admit she did not seem to have it down as to walking in the heels she has already. I did not see the confidence that some women seem to have when walking in heels.

  20. I was just wondering if when you have on a pair of heels as in pumps do you think about the placement of your feet ? Like while sitting at work at a desk or just eating at some place at a table . Do you think about how to place your feet so you don't scuff them on the sides from the floor. I never see shoes scuffed up but I think it must happen now and then.
