  1. I suspect the lack of detail is indeed the case, but your advice is still excellent. If a man compliments a woman (whom he doesn't know) on her heels and the women doesn't react in a positive, friendly, welcoming way, it's best for him to exercise some immediate damage control and quickly move on, as if he weren't a pervert. LOL

    Steve

I have never had that happen yet. Maybe I have a trusting kind of look or something. But I can see a guy looking odd if he just mumbles out "your shoes turn me on" . I say just about the same thing every time " Wow your shoes are amazing" And look her in the eye.

  2. I should change the name of it to the Tampa High Heel Show..Wow

Lots of cars from all the companys. The models all had some kind of heels on but being that the show is in florida most of the companys from the usa had low almost no heeled shoes. But the European car makers had there models in real nice high heels. I spent a good part of the day just talking to the models about there heels. I even found out the car companys choose the outfits right down to the heels they wear. I don't know why but not many guys like talking to the models. They just stand there waiting for people to ask them questions. And it seems like they enjoy it when the subject is not cars. They all talked my ear off about there heels and stuff. I would have to say the Mercedes-Benz models had the best high heels on. they were 4inchs high and no platform. It just does not get much better then that. I started talking to one and the next thing I know 2 more join in. I had all 3 talking about there heels and what it is like to work all day in them. They would show me there shoes and explain how the heels tighten up there calf muscles. And how they transfer there weight by leaning back to get the pressure off there toes after being in the shoes a few hours. I wish I could have stayed there longer but my parking pass ran out. It was a great day...

If you like to see beautiful girls in heels that is the place to go. And talk to them.. They perk up when asked about anything other then cars.

  3. Color me skeptical. Following two women into the store to compliment them is kind of creepy.

It was the only way to compliment them. And they did not think so, It's not like I followed them all over the place. Nothing creepy at all. I think when a women go's out of her way to really dress up and look good people should compliment them.

Thanks, Steve for that compliment. Yes I do compliment women dressed sharply in heels. It's a great way to open a conversation about high heels and fashion. I love to talk about shoes especially to the ladies, as I regularly do.

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

I do the same thing. And the lady's love it !

  4. I was walking around the mall and spotted these two ladys in very high heels. One girl was in great pain from her heels. The other was walking like she knew how to walk and had no pain. She had a very graceful walk. When they went into a store I went in also to ask her about her heels. I just told her I loved her graceful walk she does with those heels. Then I said how long did it take you to handle that high heel ? She laughed and said 20 yrs.. She was not a day over 30 yrs old..  I guess it makes sense..LOL

  5. Somer things just seem to happen.

Things like that just never happen to me. At least my girlfriend wears heels but I just can't ask her questions like I can to a person I do not know .

That was a nice meeting, onhertoes Thanks for the post.

If you like high heels all that much, maybe you should consider wearing them yourself. You might be surprised to get the same feeling that women and us men who wear high heels, get!

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

Hi Bluejay, I can see your point but my big feet just would not fit or look right in a womens shoe. My girl friend basicly said the same thing to me when I was pushing her to start wearing high heels. And I am not sure women get the same feeling as men do from the conversations I have had with other women in heels. Men seem to get a bigger bang then women get.

  6. First hello everyone it has been a while. I love everything about high heels. I just like them on women I am not a high heel wearer. Anyway this is a story about what happened today and I wanted to tell other people about it.

I am still trying to figure out why I am so obsessed with high heels. So when I get a chance to ask questions I try to keep it short and sweet.

I was parking my car at the mall today and as I was driving I saw a women standing in the parking lot not near any cars. She was all dressed up with some great heels on. When I found a place to park I got out and looked around for her to check out her heels. She was still in the same place just standing there. I was not going to walk over to her because that would be strange. So I just headed for the store when I herd her say something. She asked me to help her. I could not believe it. So I walked over and she told me she stepped on a tack and it went threw her shoe in to the ball of her foot. She could not put her foot down because it would push the tack in to her foot further. I said let me see if I can pull it out. So she lifted her foot and held on to me for balance and i tried to pull out the tack. The tack was all the way in and I could not get under it to pull it out. So she asked me to easy her down so she could sit down. She said she could not do anything not even take her other shoe off because she was standing on that foot for ten mins until I got there. I asked her if I should call the mall security and she said please do. So I called security and we waited for them. While we waited I asked her about her heels. She was great she answered all my questions. I even ended up telling her how foolish I felt about my interest in high heels. She said there is nothing wrong with that. Heels are sexy and i am glad I was able to clear up some of your questions. She even said I would die if I saw all the high heels she has. The pair she had on was my all time favorite style. A 4 inch heel no platform. Made by Kenneth Cole. Here is a picture of the shoe she had on it's called the Bon-ita 2 Pump.

    .

When security got there I said bye and I left. My head was spinning after that.

  7. You might remember back when I got my girl friend to started heeling. Well a friend of hers was talked into wearing heels. She went right into a pair of 4inch pumps and figured she will just get used to them by walking around all the time. Well after two weeks she went out in flats and while she was driving her sport suv she had to slam on her brakes. Doing that made her calf mussle turn into a knot. It's very painful . Her DR said it was from heeling. The strange thing is that she said her other calf mussle felt like it wanted to knot up just from getting out of bed the next day. No heels for her for a long time she said. So be careful with the heels. On another note my girl friend had some pain when she started heeling but now she said the pain has gone away . But yes the first thing she does when she gets home is take off her heels.

  8. My girlfriend went to work with the 4 inchers 2 days last week. She had a few people tell her how nice they were. But what she told me next was funny. One of the office girls bought a pair just like hers with the 4 inch heel. I guess the other girl liked them alot.

  9. At lunch the other day there was a girl with some very nice pumps on. I bet they had a 4 inch heel no platform. She was standing in line for a while and I was right behind her. The whole time on line she was bending her foot pointing it up and then she would switch to the other foot and do the same thing. She also was moving her feet just a little to reposition her feet just a little over and over. I would think it was a sign that her feet were tired from standing in the heels. I had to ask her if the heels she had on were comfortable . I also told her she looked great in them. She said they are great. She forgets she has a highheel on sometimes.. So I guess subconsciously they bother her and she does not even know she trys to get in a comfortable position.

  10. Just an update.. We are about to go out to eat at a place on the water. She told me she is going to have on her 4 inchers. She is amazing..

The way to check physicaly ability to walk properly in a high heel shoe - is the put the desired high heels on and stand with both feet flat on the floor. Next stand up on tip toes inside your heels - you should be able to arch your foot out of your heel, or lift the heel of your shoe well off the ground. You sould be able to lift approx 1 inch to 1.5inches. If you can't then the heel is too high for your current flexibility/ strength and you won't be able to manage it gracefully in many every day situations.

Lastly the best way to get good at wearing heels is by long term exposure to heels - wearing, wearing and wearing. Sitting down wearing does not count at all, wearing at home also does not count as its too easy on your feet/ legs. Literally walking to work, walking around the city during lunch, wearing heels in the weekend when out an about etc...The foot stretching is needed to ensure you don't get stuck being dependent on wearing heels all the time, otherwise you can't wear flat shoes anymore.

Wearing heels around home and seated etc helps soften the shoe and break them in to your feet - it does not help the wearer become a confident wearer.

    Good luck and have fun

She did that test and i would say it looked like she lifted her heal about a 1/2 inch higher then the 4 inch heel .

  11. I think if you love someone you should set them free. I think if she's enjoying herself then you should support that, unless of course you have good reason to belive that she's going to do herself serious harm unwittingly.

What did you mean by Serious harm ?

Love the shoe design although me and pointy toe heels seem to not get along. It's a classic design that will work for almost any dress occasion.

Aldo has an almond toe style that I would probably go for. Just wish there was an Aldo nearby but then again I might go broke too.

If she's feeling positive about the height, and thinks she can handle it, then support her in her endeavors, Sounds like she wants to make the move and is working toward it.

Single sole vs platform - - I find any kind of platform to be easier on my feet. This may be because of some injuries accidents over the years (nails, metal in the ball/callus areas) but thats just my opinion/preference.

Did I understand correctly that she was gonna get you "on your toe's"?

If so, give it a shot if you haven't. I got started late in life myself.

My wife made the comment "If you like the heels etc. then you wear them!"

    - - So I did - - Now she's not sure what to do with me somedays.

No she just made that comment because of the hight of the new heels..going from a 3 inch to a 4 inch.

  12. Mike,

never mind what anyone here thinks of them. What does she think?

    Hi Amanda

She went from never wearing heels because of her job. 15 years in sneekers to a better job in a heels. She bought the 3inch heels and after a couple of months she was great at walking in them. She had a lower pair also and switched back and forth between them. Well she wanted to get another pair of 3 inch heels so I got her the 4 inch heels just as a gift. We also bought the other pair of 3 inch heels. Well she loves the 3 inch but after doing so well in them she can't wait to do the same with the 4 inch heels. She is not big on platform heels like 2 of her friends. They walk around in 5 inch heels with a platform. So I guess she wants to keep up with them. She is obsessed with those heels. She comes home and puts them on for a while and then does her stretching routine for a while. She likes them alot. But she also said her legs and feet feel better with a heel then in a flat shoe. So I think she might need to slow down with the heels.

  13. I was just wondering if from the time you put on your heels to the time you take them off they have been on your mind the whole time. From everything I have read it seems to be the case. 1. putting on your heels and taking the first steps of the day. 2. walking and watching what kind of surface you are walking on. 3 just the fact your in heels. 4 getting up from your desk at work over and over. 5 driving your car. It could go on and on. I would really like to hear from the heel wearers on here. My girlfriend says yes alot of the time she thinks about her shoes.

  14. Hi barefoot,

those heels are truely a beautiful shoe. You girlfriend will enjoy wearing them, and she has no doubt said so. As an experienced full-time wearer of such heels I offer you this advice in both her and your interests. The chosen shoe is a good height, and if shes not fully used to a 3inch it will take considerable time to become fully used to a 4inch heel. The 1 inch height difference is very significant. You really need to wear these heels to truely understand. That skinny heel will also make life a little tricker when dialling up the height at the same time. Be mindful that that shoe has a pointy toe and the higher up you go the more you slide forward or down the heel so if pointies are new for her then as her feet swell during the day they may become uncomfortable late in the day. I'm sure she'll conquer them because she'll want to - they will look sexy as on her legs, and she will enjoy the attention.

You mentioned maybe 4 and a half inches next - 4 inch to 4.5inches will be many times harder than the current transition from 3 to 4inch heels. Don't expect instantaneous results because it could take the fun out of it for both of you.

Hi, She told me today that she is not ready to take them to work yet. She has been working on the shoes ever since she got them. She did make a comment to me.. She said soon you will have me on my tip toes in shoes.. I told her yes I like the look of very high heels as you know. But it's all up to her. She said it sort of grows on you. You want to try a higher heel. I don't know what I will do when I feel comfortable in the new ones.
