  1. You'll find rubberised wedges a lot more comfortable than stilettos as the absord the shock much better. It is a great moral support having your partner walk out with you and it always makes me feel much closer to "her" when we do.

  2. I have no problems with the colour though I'd prefer Ivory than a brilliant white. I don't like them in patent leather though as they tend to look worn and creased too quickly

  3. When I read the first posting from Macek in this chain I thought to myself "that's bloody brave" and then when I read the rest I was not surprised I'm sad to say. I'ved lived in Poland for 3 years now the last one in Warsaw too and I am very carefull about how much heels I expose when out and about. When my Polish collegues found out they very gently warned me that people would not understand but as individuals are pretty cool about it. Although there is a new generation coming through, it is still a very conservative country with a strong religious centre and a fierce national pride. I hope you can continue wearing what you want and I do like the shoes in the photograph.

  4. I have trouble understanding why a partner would object to the other half so strongly having a hobby/inclination/obsession such as attire as to end a solid relationship. Personally I have a lot more going against me than wearing heels eg overbearing attitude, childish behaviour, egocentric bla bla bla. I'm sure "She" can list many others. But in the balance my partner thinks that there are more things going for me than against (though modesty forbids me to list them ) I mean women have left their partners for many things, football, drinking, even god forbid violence, but 99%. I don't think so. Maybe she nbeeds to know and appreciate the complete you?

  5. They look really comfortable. Just got my order from Amazon. Everything was as describe. The boots from Tsubo (middle two) aren't very high but have an intresting pattern look great with a business suit The Seychelles (last) I ordered as an afterthought to travel in and I'm glad I did.

  6. Interesting... Personnally I hate this feeling...

When I kick my heels off I feel like I'm shortened or lowered (I don't know how to write it in English but I feel "something" is missing ).

I wish I had silent high heels to walk around at home (if I keep wearing heels the neighbor complains about them).

Exactly! You said it very well Marion. If I wear heels for a long time I get used to them and forget the sensations. This feeling reminds me of what I've done and makes me want to get back into them.

Have you tried these. I use them to stop black marks on the wooden floor and to protect the floor not my heels.

  7. Jagman, I love your avitar. Wish i could sill ballet

Thanks Tanya. For years I've been trying to decide what to use but this picture just struck me as sooo elegant. Anyway you still know how to pose :-)

Today was a laugh. For my return jouney I wore the boots below (sorry about the quality). At Frankfurt security I took them off to put through the scanner but didn't collect them immediately sorting the laptop out. When I turn to collect them the security guard had them in the air asking for someone to claim them. I was standing right infront of him trying to get his attention but he was looking at anyone but me!

  8. Wearing 3.5" was very easy for me, though I still have to concentrate on posture ( I tend to lean forward but I think thats more phycological than anything else ). There are some boots that are no problem at 4" but not all and I can't seem to break the 4.5" and its quite frustrating. All my measurements are from the sole of the shoe to the floor at the back minus any platform. I call it heel lift. I have a pair of wedge boots that give the apparant heel lift of 4.5" but I can walk in these because the heel ends about an inch and a half forward though you need to be aware on smooth surfaces.
