  2. Yes I do remember Cobal and Fortran and I did a course on machine code programing in my early days when I was taught how computers work. When I left college I worked for the GPO on a radio station and I was taught about valves all there was back then, transistors came later. as I am a radio ham still like my valves etc. sadly I have not kept up with modern tech and no nothing about mobile phones and programing and the like, I do own one but it is an old nokia about 10 years old, and it still works when I bother to turn it on, don't need one at my age. All I have is an old laptop running windows 7.

  3. There was another High Heel website before this one, can't remember what it was called. High Heel place came from that one I believe (Tech knows) and I discovered that one from using Patent Letter a few People will remember that website back in the late nineties, back in the good old dial up days one penny a minute. Joined HHplace June 2002 after my first heelmeet in Cambridge.

Heels do not make me a better person, but I feel better in myself when I am wearing them, do not understand what is going on as I cannot get rid of this quote thing

Maybe this is better, seems the quote bit has disappeared, Heels do not make me a better person, but will admit I feel a lot better when I am in them.

I also had a good time at two heel meets at the Miller in London, 2007 and 2009, where I meet a load of you guys from across the pond and from elsewhere, sadly a few chaps are no longer on HH place, I speak to a couple of them now and again.

  6. As a person who has lived in the west country, four miles from lands end, for nearly half of my life, I have never heard of that either. True Cornish people do have lots of ways of saying things and it takes a few years to understand all of it, my sister has lived there for over forty  years and is now becoming a local. I was married to a northern girl for over 10 years and they have some strange sayings. Best bit is we meet with a Scottish pair in Spain once a year, the wife I can understand, but her husband I only understand about a third of what he says, Have to guess the rest.

  7. Likewise I am also sixty eight, but I am still 21 in my mind, well would like to think I am, many people say I am to stuck in my ways and will never change and yes I do wear my heels daily and will continue to do so until I can't any longer. They are not that high a tad lower than 3 inches or 75mill for you metric types.

  8. I see you are going for a fully synthetic engine oil (mobile 1) is that normal for outboard engines, I myself go for a semi synthetic oil in my diesel Land rover as I have been told that it is the best way to go, I have owned it for thirty years now, oil change every year, has not failed the mot test yet. But it is to old to be tested for emissions.

  9. To be honest with everybody  lessons in queer people as it was then known, I grew up in the 50's and sixties. and I grew up with not knowing about queer people as I was taught to live life as it was, and I do not agree with it being taught in schools, as I grew up I was told about queer people, but that did not bother me and still does not, I was once chatted up by a gay person on a train when I was about 15, had to move about 3 carrigies to avoid him, but that is about it. I agree with gay pride movements but that is up to them, I do not agree with it being forced down your head day and night, at the end of the day live and let live, just don't force it on me or my family. I am slowly changing my grandkids but it is rammed down their heads in school.

a gay day means more to me than it used to.

  10. Must admit I get in the morning and I wear a pair of thonge sandals, then after my other half has gone to work I put on my ankle boots, and I wear them all day 3-4 inch heels, local shops etc no problems so far.

  11. Not for me either, but I do have long hair way past my shoulders, been like that since 1970's, but I do wear a watch, maybe on my right wrist, and somepeople think that's weird, and a sign I cannot be trusted, but when my grandparents bought me a watch in the mid fifties, I had a burn on my left wrist and have worn my watch on my right wrist ever since.

  12. You can still find honest places in west Cornwall were you can buy fruit, eggs and veg, quite a of locals use them daily, ask my sister who lives near St ives in sunny Cornwall. Last petrol station I went that was attended was on the St Just- Penzance road, it was in Newbridge gallon of fuel 3/4p, yes six gallons for a pound. bring back the sixties.
