  1. I would ask you to be careful though as I am sure this forum has it's share of lurkers, perhaps you would be wise to choose someonecwho actually contributes and check out what they have input previously.

I wish you good luck in your search.

I think that is a GREAT bit of advice Foxyheels. You just never know...

  2. Those all look very nice! I did not see anything with more of a blue/purple color, why not try something like that? I am currently wearing a purple that I love but we are going to get a pedi this weekend because they are starting to look a bit ragged. I am always a fan of the darker purples. I may go for a blue or an orange-brown color this time.

  3. I am now deliberately pushing the boundaries with my shoes, earrings and jewellery to try to get a reaction but as yet nothing has been said.

I push the boundries as well. I wear flipflops with polished toes a lot in the summer, block style heels in the cooler months, and I have both my ears pierced twice. I look far to much like a man to be mistaken even if there were hours of prep work to try and get me to look more fem I am sure...:) Fact is though if you are happy with who you are then you will find someone that accepts who you are. I know foxyheels is married as I am I and from what I can tell his wife is just as accepting as mine. There will never be 100% acceptance of ANYTHING that we do even for things that are stereotypically associated with our gender.

  4. Must be a Texas thing.....

I shave legs, feet, chest, hands, everything except my arms, and I mostly have a bright Red, Pink, or Orange nail polish on my toes (Clear on my hands). I try and stick with the red because it matches my car :D:wave:

Nope, I am not in Texas and I shave legs and under arms. I refuse to go outside in sandles without my toenails painted. My wife and I go to the salon on a regular basis to get pedicures. With my job I dont get manicures very often but when I do it is usually always some sort of french manicure.

  5. Surprisingly very few comments from family and friends and certainly nothing negative. Several positive comments and the odd "you know they are girls don't you." MrsF actually encouraged me getting my ears pierced and bought me some bracelets for my birthday. My 13 year old son has no issue with it and even relatives from an older generation are completely ok.

I have worn them at meetings and last week at a national indoor games event with 500 police officers present, no issues what so ever.

I do very much consider those close to me and if me wearing jewellery effected them negatively I would stop but I guess I don't associate with intolerant people so I'm on o a win-win situation.

Glad to hear that it is going so well for you, I have had my ears pierced for about 7 years now (2 holes each ear) and I wear earrings ALL the time. My wife sometimes comments if I am not wearing any on how I need to go put some on because she does not like to see them without any. She has even offered some that she is wearing at times when I left the house and forgot to put any in. I have two teenage boys and two girls, one teen and one pre-teen, and they are used to it and do not care that I wear them. It truly is all in what people are used to seeing.

  6. Mine was my older cousins, three of them that always wore heels. I always saw them and was jealous that they were able to wear such nice shoes while I had to wear my plain shoes that looked just like every other boys. The first time I tried them on my heart was pounding because I was afraid I would be caught! Now I wear my heels in public for all to see. I am still jealous when I have to wear my boring shoes to work but I also know that I can change as soon as I get home.

  7. Absolutely. I have even noticed a trend of women taking over some mens fashion, however limited that may be. They find something they like about it, start buying it, and the next thing you know the production changes from a mans to a womans item. Then we are ridiculed for wearing what used to be ours. My wife and I were in the mall this weekend and I could not help but notice that there are a ton of wingtip style shoes for women on the market now and there are less and less wingtip shoes available for men. I have a tendency to lean towards wingtips as they are what I consider one of the most fashionable shoes for men. Guess it is a good thing I don't mind wearing women's shoes because I am not about to give up my wingtips. I guess on the plus side now I can get them with a heel...

  8. The wife and I have our first appointment of the years to have a Pedicure done on Saturday! We have moved since our last one and this will be our first trip for a pedicure to this particular salon. My wife has been getting manicures there for a couple months now and is very pleased so I am sure it will be great!

  9. I fully understand everyone is different.... but I've been wearing tights/leggings and pantyhose for more than 3 years (almost every day in that time) and I have never had a problem with hair under my hosiery or leggings!

My legs have never been fully shaved. In fact, the only time when I've shaved any of the hair on my legs is when I needed to get my ankles strapped (with medical tape) playing junior footy.

Yes well my legs are... Hairier than most we will say. :silly:

  10. It is my opinion that you can make PJ's look from the onset like anything you want, that does not mean you should be wearing cloths that were intended to wear to bed into public. Seeing people in their PJ's and fuzzy house slippers has just gotten FAR to main stream for me. There is no good reason to be so lazy as to not get dressed before leaving home...

  11. I work in the IT industry and carry a laptop around with me, as well as other needed techy items, so I tend to look forward to the weekends when I am not having to carry anything around with me. I have far less stuff to carry than the average person, when I am not working anyway.

  12. My first thoughts were, if it works for you and has that positive an effect… go for it.

However, there is a big difference between wearing heels on the drive home and wearing heels in public.

I’ll go back to my first thoughts… If it works for you, go for it.

I like your first thoughts. Although there is really nothing wrong with the later thoughts I think we should not forget that we all started somewhere and no man just wakes up one day and says, I will start wearing heels today and it will be in public for everyone to see!

We all start somewhere and our destination is rarely the same.

  13. I was in junior high when I really started to notice high heels and how I was effected by them. I started to get very curious about how it would feel to wear them so I tried on a pair of my cousins heels one day when there was no one around. I loved the way they felt and it just went from there. I don't believe for a minute that there is a man alive today that has not at some point in their life at the very least been curious about what it would feel like to wear a pair of heels. Most are just terrified of what others would think of them and either would not try them on, or more likely the case, would never admit that they had when no one was around.

  14. it aint gonna happen,so i am not even gonna think about it

Maybe, maybe not. If that had been the attitude that women had taken through history they would not be able to vote, wear pants in public, etc. You just never know...

The only easy part of the path we are on is that part we walked yesterday.

  15. I do wear knee-highs in the summer. My wife likes the hair on my legs so I grow it back in the summer months and the knee-highs work our quite well. They don't seem to irritate anywhere near as bad. In the event that they do you can at least pull them down a little and get them away from the area they are bothering, unlike a pair of pantyhose.
