Yay... my Louboutin Bianca's did arrive today. Totally in awe by the boots , but the little red bag with the replacement tips is missing :-?...

I thought it might be nice not to just post a picture, but a video. This way, I also learned that those videos from bloggers that look so effortless require LOTS of effort in fact, just e.g. the lighting. I don't have any video lighting sources, so in order not to have a hard shadow, I dimmed the lights... which made my SLR not focus correctly anymore and the iPhone movie become a bit blurred. Anyway... I hope that the quality is still sufficient to get a glimpse of how nice the boots look like. Size (IT) 41.5.

gorgeous pair of boots! enjoy :)

  2. Was browsing the online shops, and on 'the outnet' i found these with 50% off!.  I saw a girl wearing them whilst i was in a hotel in Italy and been trying to hunt them down. By luck they appeared and got the last pair.  Had to buy them!.

They are by Giuseppe Zanotti - They are called 'Alien' - Size 42, True to size - the heel measures 140mm (no platform)

Congrats! Although I am not a big fan of open toe boots, the design is really cool! And I can also very much relate to you trying to hunt them down - I've had similar experiences with things that I saw somewhere which I desparately wanted to have.

At 14 cm in heel height with no platform - are you actually going to wear these or are these more like an art object (owning a piece art and being able to look at it is also quite pleasureable)? -- I've some boots from Alexander Wang which I also bought from the outnet, which I can definitely not walk in, but they are still a piece of art...

thanks, i am goona try to learn to walk in them, they are quite sturdy and comfortable.  they are beautiful to look at too, probably my second favourite pair, my Louboutin Pigalle's being my first :)

  4. Haven't bought and shoes/boots for a while, so I'd thought I would treat myself to a pair of Jimmy Choo knee high boots (supposed to be over the knee, but I've long legs). They are made of really soft leather, very comfortable with a 5 and a bit inch heel and a small platform. Shall be wearing these a lot once I have worn them in. :)

  5. Always loved the Pigalle as they are very classy with the heel placed far back and about the highest heel available (about all platform heels have effectively not higher heels than 4.5" and these are almost 5", maybe the highest heel is the Casadei stiletto full 5" heel, also with a thin stiletto heel without platform and the heel placed far back)

You are still mastering to walk on them? I hear many say that they are quite a challenge to walk in, especially going out on them/shopping/walking in town?

i'm still trying to master the pigalle walk, they are quite hard to walk in but i'm getting there. I'm finding my heel pops out of the back every now and again, maybe should of gone down half a size.

thanks for all the nice comments, every heel wearer should own a pair of cl's!

  6. Have been a bit of a backgroung reader for a while, but recently have started slowly wearing heels around my family & friends, whom of which have said nothing negative about my heel wearing. I wear my heels (shoes & boots) all the time in my flat and my housemate has accepted my heel wearing, which is awsome. :wavey: I brought my first pair of Christian Louboutins in 2011 jan sales and got my second pair in this years january sales. the styles are 'Pigalle 120' and 'Big Dorset 120'. The Pigalle's are super comfy now i've worn them in and are my favourite, but still mastering to walk in them!! they have a 135mm heel as they size 42. They run Large to size The Big Dorset's are a lot easier to walk in as they've a hidden platform, I do love the gold spike stiletto tho!! they have a 145mm heel (measured from the back.) size 42. They run True to size. I can see why ladies love these shoes, they look and feel awsome! Think i'll be getting more pairs!!
