  1. I used to go to She An Me regularly when I worked in Hammersmith. I seem to remember the shop was owned by someone called Rod. The girls who worked there were fantastic - they usually dressed in fetish wear themselves. The manageress was a very well endowed girl who showed off her assets. They let me dress there in the lovely fetish and of course those fabulous thigh boots they sold. I got to know them very well, and sometimes they would ring me at work and ask me to do some off job around the place, like mending a fuse or fixing a shelf. Doing those jobs while wearing pvc and thigh boots was wonderful! I remember helping one of the girls celebrate her birthday in the time-honoured way, the 2 of us in fetish in one of the changing rooms... And I was there when they said the shop was being sold, which was a sad time for us all. We all dressed in fetish and high heels and had a fabulous party in the shop, and the girls made my fantasies about them come true...

  2. Sorry to keep cluttering this board up with my stuff - if there's a more appropriate site, please let me know (nicely!). Anyway, just to say that I went out for my usual lunchtime walk into town today, and I was greeted with the wonderful sight of a yummy mummy with her young child. Yummy mummy was probably late 20s, long brown hair, and she was wearing tight blue jeans with a fantastic pair of black patent otk boots with about 4" heels. I spent most of my lunch time following those boots around town!

  3. Can I add a 2 hour train journey to London I had the other day. While I was waiting on the platform I noticed a lady in her 40s with blond hair, a shortish skirt and a gorgeous pair of black otk leather boots with 5" heels. I politely told her that I liked her boots, which she was pleased about, and I asked if I could travel with her, which she agreed to. On the train she told me that the boots were bought for her in Italy by her husband, as he liked seeing her in boots. I said he was a man of excellent taste! She said she quite often got chatted up when she was out wearing boots. He has bought her several pairs of otk and thigh boots, though she only wears the thigh boots when she's out with him, or at home! The best bit was when she let me sit next to her so that I could stroke her boots. A few times I pretended to drop something on the floor, so that I could stroke her heels and the rest of her boots. She said she found it amusing that men liked boots, but she did enjoy the attention. She was going to meet her husband in London, and she knew he would love to see her in boots. We said goodbye at Paddington. She gave me a lovely kiss and said she had enjoyed meeting me, and I said the same. As we were separating she said for me to keep a look out for her, then she said 'You can't miss me - I'll be the sexy blond in boots!' Then she laughed and went on her way. You can imagine the reaction I had to all that! If by any remote chance she or her husband is reading this, please please get in touch! It was a really memorable time, so thank you very much!

  4. Thanks very much! I've seen lots of women in high heels in supermarkets - it's the main reason (or maybe the only reason!) I like shopping there. My best sighting recently was of a lady in M&S who was I guess in her 50s, with short grey hair. She was with a couple of other women of a similar age, but whereas they were in pretty nondescript outfits, she was wearing a shortish skirt and an amazing pair of black patent knee-high boots with a silver buckle at the top, and about 4" heels. I stayed a lot longer in M&S than I had planned...

  5. I didn't know where else to share this. I went to the local Pets at Home yesterday, and I was amazed (and thrilled!) to see a girl wearing black leather high heeled otk boots - they had about a 4" heel. She was (of course) looking for pet food, but for some reason I never expected to see anyone wearing such sexy boots in a pet store! She was wearing a short blue denim skirt which showed off the top of her boots nicely, and I have to admit to following her as discreetly as I could for a while. So I was wondering whether anyone else had seen someone wearing heels and/or boots somewhere they wouldn't have expected to see them.

  6. I totally agree with you! As well as confidence, I would add politeness as well. I learnt fairly early on when buying high heels that not all sales assistants are keen for men to be buying them for themselves (though things have changed a lot!), and that they have to be aware of the feelings of their female customers. So if I'm going to a new shop I always ask if it's convenient to buy, or if they want me to come back at a different time. Several times they've suggested I use the stockroom to try on heels, which is fine, though in my favourite shop, Kurt Geiger, the girls are very happy for me to walk around the store in heels. The best time was when I went into one of my regular shops, and one of the girls who knows me produced a fabulous pair of black high heeled boots. She told me that they jad just come in and she had put them to one side because she knew I would like them! You can't ask for more than that!

  7. I would so love to work in Kurt Geiger! They have fabulous high heels, and some of the best sales girls I've seen anywhere. I got teased rotten the other day by one who was telling me about going to clubs in her 6" heels and micro mini dress. I know her quite well and she knows the effect she has on me! The pay is absolute rubbish, but it would be great fun!

  8. Great post - thanks! I have a friend (sadly it isn't really me!) who dresses in front of his wife and 2 girls, including going shopping with them. I can dress when I'm there, which isn't as often as I'd like, but is better than not dressing! He and his wife have been very open to the girls about his dressing - he's worn femme clothes at home since they were born, so they're used to it now. I had a look at My Princess Boy - what an understanding family! He's so cute - I hope he grows up enjoying being dressed as a princess!

  9. To answer this question, yes, I have had similar experiences buying high heels. It is so refreshing when you do have a salesperson who is friendly, helpful, and open minded to make you feel comfortable when trying on and purchasing high heels. I am now seeing, on a regular basis, one of the women who sold me several pairs of my high heels and boots.

Glad to hear it! Are you seeing her in the shop only or 'socially'? I've seen a couple of sales girls from shoes shops 'socially' as well - great fun!
  10. Hi I went to Bristol yesterday, and ended up in my favourite shoe shop, Kurt Geiger, when I bought a fabulous pair of 6" heels. The girl where was so incredibly helpful and sweet and understanding and chatty. She said that she had a pair of the same shoes, which she went clubbing in. She said that she loved wearing heels, and that she got used to a pair by doing the hoovering in them! I tried them on, and walked around in the shop, getting a few odd looks from the couple of female customers there. The girl said that the best way to get around in them was to get a taxi! We had such a lovely chat, and of course I will be going back there again to get some more heels and to have another, er, stimulating chat! Has anyone else had a similar experience when buying heels?

  11. I love trying on high heels in shops! The girls there are always so helpful. My favourite is Kurt Geiger in Bath, where one of the girls especially is so incredibly helpful and patient with me as I try on pair after pair! She's great at advising me what looks good, and she chats about the type of heels she likes too. It's a fabulous experience which I recommend to every heel lover!

  12. In answer to my own question, a few years ago I was interviewing for an admin post in my department. One of the (female) candidates arrived in a leather mini skirt, fishnet stockings and black 4" heels. She was early 20s with long black hair. I made sure the interview went on for as long as possible, specially when she crossed her legs! Anyway, not surprisingly I gave her the job - and a glowing reference not long after when it became clear that she really wasn't up to the job!

  13. Has anyone had a candidate for a job interview (probably female!) turn up in high heels? If so, did you let this affect your judgement, and did you regret your decision afterwards? Alternatively, have you worn high heels to an interview (either as an interviewer or interviewee) and what effect did that have?

  14. I have found that in general the sales girls in the shops are very helpful. I have sometimes asked if there's a particular time which would be better for them - often they say either when the shop opens or just before it closes. But other shops are happy for me to try on shoes with other customers around. None of them have seemed fazed by my requests. In fact, last winter, when I went into one particular shop, one of the sales girls said she had put by a pair of boots she'd had in because she thought they were my style and I would want them! They were a gorgeous pair of black knee high ones with 5" heels, so she was quite right! How's that for service! Just be sensitive and enjoy the experience!

  15. Hi all Thank you so much for your very warm welcome! As you say, it's good to be amongst other people who share a similar interest. I have to say that I've been generally very impressed with the helpfulness of the sales girls in the shops I've been in to buy heels. Of special note is Kurt Geiger and Dune in Bath, and Moda In Pelle in South Molton Street in London. Maybe we should have a thread for shops where you get good service - and shops to avoid! I'ev had alot of high heel experiences one way and another over the years, so if anyone is at all interested, please let me know - or tell me to shut up! Best wishes to all John

  16. Hi Daniel A shame the lady's reply wasn't more positive, but at least you were polite, which I think is the main thing. Over the years I've complimented a number of women on their heels (and their leather, if I'm lucky enough to find a lady wearing both!) and they are usually appreciative. The last lady I complemented in that way was a couple of weeks ago in London. She was in her 20s, dark skinned with long straight hair, wearing a shortish skirt and black otk boots with about 3" heels. Like you, I started off by saying 'Excuse me, I'm sorry to bother you' and when she had stopped I said that she looked very nice in her boots. She said 'Oh!....Thank you very much!' so I asked her where she got them from, and she said Office. Then she said they were very comfortable, and she enjoyed wearing them. Then she asked if I liked boots, so I said yes very much. She laughed and said 'Good for you, darling!' Then she said she had to be getting along, and it was nice to meet me. As I say, I've met a number of very nice ladies in boots - I'm always happy to bore you with details!!

  17. I have to go for 2 things! The first was when I tried on my mother's platform boots for the first time and realised how much I really love boots, which I still do to this day. The second was when I realised my ambition of dressing as I really wanted to, in satin undies, black seamed stockings, a black pvc dress and 6" heel thigh boots. Putting on the outfit and then finally zipping on the boots and standing on those amazing heels was just the greatest feeling! I still love wearing 6" heels, especially now I can buy them from Kurt Geiger!
