  1. The color is called Velvet Brown and it is the same in the Gooro or the Gallivanto.

Thanks. I had a chance to look in a Nine West store over the weekend & they had the boots but only in black and of course no size 11's.

  2. TBG: Hey! How did you know that I don't like hiding my knees? HA!

HappyFeat: Well, it wasn't that cold on Sunday. However, we just got another half foot of snow overnight, so it looks like I won't be going back out for awhile. Urgh!

Dawn HH: Yes, getting unexpected compliments are always great for the ego. Meanwhile, I'm still trying to accept Daniel Craig as Bond.

It's tough to accept him as Bond. Bond would NEVER trash an Aston Martin like he did. Did you know he can't drive a stick shift?

  3. I've seen this brand advertised on here more than once. Are they more durable than hose made by other companies, such as No Nonsense and L'eggs?

I love the thought of perhaps tights instead of hose to wear with boots, but I have other clothing ideas in mind to go with those. Also, tights might be warmer in the cooler months.

    SQ,

They are quite durable. I have been wearing them since the company 1st launched. They also offer sheer and tights with a fly opening, price has gone up since I bought my 1st pairs but well worth it.

  4. I have a new pair of Kork-Ease sandals that were really popular in the 70's plus I have several other similar styles by other companies. What really cracks me up is many of the boots sold for women today are exactly like the boots that I had in the 70's that were men's styles. I wore them every day to school. Those were the days!! I loved plats then and still do.

doc41 I remember when Kork-Ease sandals were only $35. My originals bit the dust a few years ago, they were comfortable sandals.

  5. morpho,

The boots are from Naturalizer I forget the style name but I picked them up in one of the outlet stores. They have a 3" heel which is more of a cone shape with a pointed toe. They are stretch knee high and black in color. I received a coupon via email so I went back and bought the same boots in brown.

My friend knows of my heeling we have often discussed it during a few happy hour sessions.

    The SO is another story.

As promised here are shots of the boots...

This is how I was dressed

Easier to tuck them in with straight leg jeans

  6. Tonight I had a great outing. Went for my manicure & pedicure and a friend joined me at the salon. During our session she suggested that we go eat once we were done. I looked down and saw I had on my beat up clogs, thank goodness I keep a pair of boots in my trunk. Once I arrived at the restaurant she asked what took you so long? I told her look down and she got real excited with my boots telling me how much she liked them. They had a 3" heel and kind of a pointed toe looked almost like the boots she had on. So both of us walked into the place heels clicking it was great. We sat at the bar and my heels were in plain view. I caught one of the waitresses taking a glance at my boots and she looked up an smiled. Then came the bathroom trip. Trying to move quickly to the restroom I lost footing but recovered before going down. My 1st actual social outing in heels and it was great. rx ps I'll post some pics of the boots soon.
