  1. It's so odd that the men that laid the foundation of the U.S. and the counterparts of there time, wore heels, stack ones. Some of the shoes were embroidery with elaborate designs, pastel colors from off whites to pink hues. The heels were lavish in there designs. They also wore boots, calf, over the knee, and thigh length boots, some with high heels some low heels. Never have I ever heard any negative statements about them. There was never any speculation about them. Where in the world did the men get bumped out of having beautiful foot ware. Just does not seem fair that the people that wrote the book of fashion cut us out of it. How in the world did all this change locking men out. It boggles my mind. Sorry to jump up on a soap box but I am going to with my heels on. I just wonder who it was that said "OK Men you can have your boots and heels anymore" ~ponders~ May be it's time to return to our roots and reclaim our heels and Boots.

  2. I suppose that I made the wrong approach to the subject. I suppose I feel wearing my heels displays my more sensitive and gentle side. I feel like they show although am a guy I do have a softer, gentle, sensitive side am not ashamed of. I did not mean to bring a subject that would inflame anyone and hurt anyone's feelings, as I don't like that done to me either. All I was extrapolating, was what other things would enhance the pleasure of wearing heels. Not at all thinking of CD. I don't know, but it was a innocent Idea, not intending as I stated offend any one or drag the board off topic. Of course the operative Word is "Intending". I may have made a mistake, perhaps but I realized the mistake and apologized and took action to rectify the infraction that I may have caused. So I stand corrected by my silly mistake, funny thing is we all make them I suppose. Anyhow I shall be more thoughtful of what I share in the future. Regards. Asa

  3. I mean I was done with the topic. The more I looked at it and thought about it. I felt you were right. It not the right thing for here. I was not at all upset with anyone, but more dissatisfied with myself for not thinking things through before I posted a thread. You know, ever done something , then looked at it again and thought "What in the World was I thinking and why did I do that" It was one of those moments. So I asked one of the site admins to please kill it. It was one of those things were I was like nha! that's wrong he's exactly right about that. ;o)

  4. Most people when they hear the word "Emo" they get all judgmental. The "Emo fashion" I feel Is very attractive i.e. clothes, hair. make up and so forth. The point to this thread is If they add heels to there fashion agenda, it would Be a OMG to 10th power. So how do you feel about adding a little Emo fashion with Heels. Might Have opened a hornets nest here, but oh well let the Buzzing began.

  5. I don't know how things are in the state Capitol there, but in the west near Roanoke things become little to conservative. The Closer you Get to the Epicenter East of Roanoke and West of Richmond the more Closed minded people become. I think you know what am speaking of and where. Its a shame really but its true.

A big second to that BS in the USA on the HHs/skirt issue! Here in Virginia, the legislature passed womens' sufferage in....get this....1953! Our current govenor & atty. general recently made new policy (by countermanding longstanding policy) that Virginia schools could no longer apply any rules against gender related discrimination. Where does conservatism stop and hatred begin? Gives me concern about being seen out heeling! Maybe I should move to San Francisco....

  6. I am 5' 8" tall, when I put my boots on it boosts me to a towering 6' 2. Nice thing is that my little feet slide into a ladies size 11. I have been asked how the heck do you walk in heels. Well I have had to use balance in my life and walking in heels was second nature. I in my youth was able to back flip in 6 inch heels and stick the landing. (Not To Say I Have Landed On My Bum A Few Time Too)

  7. Since my very early years as a boy, I was picked on because of my features were softer than most. I was a very gentle boy, and that still rings true today. The Attacks on me at that time increased to a frenzy pitch. I was put in martial arts school in addition to my regular schooling. I spent a lot of time there because honor and respect had valor there. Eventually I met my "Midway" I was forced to prove. I was forced to go broadside with one twice my size. The out come for my revel proved a disastrous mistake on his part. I did not relish resorting to violence nor did I gloat. However it did gain one thing in a barbaric way and that was respect. All that I wanted was to be left to live in peace go to school and learn. I had friends in school who were neither big nor were they football stars. They were as gentle as I and I loved them all. It seemed that I was always the one that got sized up for a fight. The one thing I never wanted. So as I grew older and wiser I avoided the bulleys and the over testosteroned guys . All of this made me a bit feisty, and protective. As for my heels, well I just don't like them to be disrespected all because of an over zealous homophobic, Boorish, contentious, neanderthal. I guess it makes that little feeling of self esteem bash flicker inside.

  8. Let's get in the way back machine here. The first pair of heels were given to me at 17, by a much older "friend"(RJ) and his partner (Frank). Frank's young friend wore them all the time. I was totally dead set against trying them at first. The older guys took us young ones to a costume boutique where we were outfitted in PVC From Head to Toe. I fought it tooth and nail at first. At the request, begging, and scrapping. I put the stuff on just to get it over with, I hated it because I thought I was going to be Called The "F" word and would be teased and taunted. Embarrassed I was put in front of a mirror. For the first time in my life I realized that I actually looked (shhhhhhh!) Beautiful ? Well I was change right there. So Since I was 17 I have owned and wore Heels. This is a long story. However you are getting the shucked down verision of it .

For how many of those 46 years have you been wearing heels?

  9. I have worn heels out for some time however I must admit I was frighten by what attacks I might be in for. If I were with an other experienced heeler I would not even care. Why, because sometimes if you learn from someone else and see there courage you can draw from it the knowledge of how to handle it. I hate being so shy and its not fun, but if you have someone to look to the moral support from them changes everything. So I have been out there with my heels on in fear of an attack. There are so many reason I feel this way, but If I were around others that wore there heels without compunction it would make me feel so much better. My passion sometime overrides my fear and I do it anyway. I feel like that heels are just shoes why is it so hard for others just to accept the wishes of those who wear heels an be nice. I can't figure it out. To bad there is not a law mandating that all males must wear heels at least once a week. Then there would not be such a clamor over it. I sometimes feel that the ones that start trouble are jealous and have a closet foot fetish anyway. Sorry to rage and rant but it sure cuts into everyone life when you run into haters. Best wishes Asa

  10. I have many hobbies, to many I thinks...But Photography is one that enjoy the most. Expensive hobby the camera body I own is 3500 u.s.d and lens about 6 grand not to mention the 2 grand in software to process the photos. Makes one a piggish when sharing photos when it comes to that because of the time and money it takes process them, take them, even is they are digital, have to figure investment costs. Am a radio Amateur operator as well. I Sail presently with others since I had to sell my vessel. I surf. Then there are my Beloved, Stiletto Heel Boots. I loves them sooo. I love to restore older autos from the 50s and 60s. Love to drive them and travel. I in the past restored a 55 Buick along with others. That is about it for now there is lots more but they are the highlights:smile:
