  1. I hope that I haven't annoyed any of you with my bombardment of posts in the last couple of days, but i just HATED those loafers. The cowboy boots are not much better, so please bear with me until I reach the kitten heels. They look like somehing I would wear, unlike loafers and cowboys. Love the idea, though,. it gives us all encouragement to get involved in the forums (or shoudl that be fora?)

  2. Wow, I think I've found my spiritual home here. I'm so pleased to join you all. I never realised that there were so many of us so interested and excited by hi heels. Like so many men, I have always felt those guilt pangs at enjoying the sight of a slender hi heel, and the accompanying ankle. Since starting to wear them myself, I have craved for the opportunity to wear them openly. Now I find that there are so many of you males who regularly wear heels in ordinary life, and I am heartened. I am therefore vowing to wear mine as often as I can, and to lose my inhibitions.

  3. I'm with the majority of you, although I don't own a pair. I think that black patent pumps (or court shoes over here) look so smart, as long as they are not scuffed or dirty. One problem of the majority of them in pvc or pu is that the shine is not long lasting. I have a pair of black pu knee boots with stretch tops. When I bought them in August, they gleamed in the (Australian) sun, but after wearing them quite a lot, I see that they are showing crease marks, and the high gloss is beginning to retreat.

  4. I expect my visit will be early in March, almost certainly during the week, as it will be a work related visit. What I'd like to do is go and try on some summer strappy sandals, but I am concerned that they will not be in the shops yet, and anyway, I fear that the shops will not have my size (I am a UK9, but in boots I have been advised to wear uk10's). BTW, should that be the same for sandals, court shoes etc.? And odes anyone know of a shop - other than a specialist tv shop - that has reasonably priced shoes for sizes above UK8?

  5. i remember when stilettoes first appeared in England, there were so many health warnings. Women's ankles were expected to be broken regularly and feet would be deformed with the ultra pointed toes. The 60's toe styles tended to be much rounder

  7. I have a visit to London in the next few weeks, and am thinking of wearing my stretch pvc boots - 3" blade heel - under a pair of straight leg jeans throughout my visit. I did this in Australia last year and got NO comment. (don't know whether I was relieved or disappointed.) Anyway, does anyone know of a good cheap shoe shop in or around London that stock English size 9-10 heels where I can try some heels on? I have used Brantano in Southampotn before; they are both cheap and have a full range of sizes.

Also, anyone wear heels in London regularly? Any reaction? Possible meet?
