Seems they were tolerant to me. Respect like acceptance is something you need to earn. Just as they tolerate a person wearing them, one has to tolerate what they may think or say.

This is the oldest lame excuse among male heel wearers. Sorry if it sounds like I'm not sympathetic. Truth is, I'm not.

Leathers are also treated with chromium during some tanning processes. Yes, even here in the US. You really can't get away from harmful elements and compounds no matter how hard you may try.

Why not go as Wonder Woman and wear red high-heel boots?

A spike heel absolutely rocks for traction in ice and snow. The down force on that type of heel is unmatched for traction in those conditions. They may not always be the best for maintaining their pristine condition though.

You know, you can't change the world by staying in the rest of the world's comfort zone. As much as many would like to ague this point, it's the truth.
