Smudgeur Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Planning a first ever trip to New York before Christmas. Any shoe shopping tips? I'm staying nr. Battery Pk so Century 21 looked like an interesting store nearby - anyone bought anything from there? What are the other shoe shopping tips? Where will I be welcome to try before I buy? What is the attitude to male heelbuyers in the big stores?
admirer5577 Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 I am in NYC this very moment. But I haven't found any shoes/boots in my size, 13W or 14. At least no one I liked. Payless have shoes up to 12W in stores here, plus check out Nine West and others. What is your size? There are at least one store that carry larger sizes but they didn't have anything I liked. See the thread "Real life meetings" where kneehighs posted a link to that store. Their attitude? Well, I can't really tell but kneehighs seem to buy without any problems. The clerks want to make the sell, they earn on commision in many cases. Enjoy your stay. Unfortunately I am leaving on tuesday after almost two weeks here .
Smudgeur Posted November 6, 2007 Author Posted November 6, 2007 I'm a UK 8 (EUR 42) which I think makes me a 10.5 or 11 US. Couldn't find the reference to Century 21 - can you please point me in the right direction?
