lorriette Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Since the wedding, Hillary and Katie have allowed and encouraged Mark to be Katie's twin sister. Greg had been shocked when he discovered what had happened, but he came to accept Martine, so much so, that when his brother, Mike, announced his forthcoming marriage, and his fiancee, Wendy, asked for Katie to be a bridesmaid, he volunteered Katie andmartine. The offer was accepted, and anew dress and shoes were ordered to match Katies original ones. Mark being eighteen months younger than Katie, still had to attend school over in Bridgenorth. He hates having to wear boys clothesand clump around in heavy flat shoes. A few times, Hillary has had to remind him to remove nail varnish or jewelry and avoid certain perfumes. Even so, he gets odd looks from both girls and boys. It seems likely they think him gay, probably because of the way he walks, sits and eats. That is the one thing that being "Martine" has highlighted. Being in the middle ground, it means that he can hardly have a girlfriend in the sexual sense, and he doesn't want a boyfriend in that way either. The boys he meets fancy him rotten as Martine, and the girls look at Martine as a girl. He would really like a proper girlfriend, but is greedy and wants to be Martine too. Oh! the pretty, light materials, one's skirt brushing against your legs, the delicate heels that say, look at me, majestic, tall, elegant. The make-up and time spent to look your best. The calm, not having to prove yourself a man. After getting dressed, thier make-up done and the 11cm pumps lifting them to lofty heights, the girls joined Hillary in the car, to drive to Wendy's house in Leominster. Wendy, who at this time was unaware of Martines true sex, was delighted with them. She explained all that was needed. They were introduced to Claire, her younger sister, who had refused to be a bridesmaid, but would hold the brides posy. Her outfit was a white blouse, light grey trouser suit and loafers. She looked similar to the pageboys. Anyway, the wedding went off well. At the reception, Martine had a chance to talk to claire, who explained that she hated being girly and was really a proper tomboy. She owned no dress, skirt or girly shoes. Martine looked quite slight against Claires chunky frame. As everyone assumed Martine top be sixteen, she had quite a bit to drink. She and Claire got along quite well and the inevitable happened. She let slip the truth. Claire was shocked. She hadn't seen any sign of masculinity, yet it explained how she had been able to be friends with an attractive, feminine girl. They continued to to chat, during which time , Claire had decided to keep the news to herself. As a tomboy, she had not gotten involved with boyfriends, and now saw Martine as a way to have a girl to love. Before the end of the night, they had resolvedto be friends, loverstoo?. totter along into history
