Patent Problems

Ok I love my patent shoes, however I am having a problem. When I walk in them occasionially I will take a step with my feet too close together and they stick to each other. This either causes me to walk out of the shoe or with the really high heels take a bit of a stumble. This is pretty embarassing as Im feeling/ looking sexy then make a bit of a fool out of myself. Does anyone else have this problem? If so is there anything I can do to stop them from sticking? Thankyou Mel

Mel, Be thankful you're not wearing patent thighboots, that gets real interesting if they happen to brush together.

Not yet, but when that much patent comes together they can effectively lock up.

Peachy:-) Yes...I have had that problem a few times through the years but never did anything to solve it as it happens so infrequently. Some of the patent shoes that I have had for a while have small scratches in the patent from this but not through the patent and are almost invisible unless you are looking for them. I also have a pair where I got too close to the toe-box when crossing my ankles and left a mark on the opposite toe-box with the heel tip. Cheers--- Dawn HH

I've never had the problem when walking but it can be a pain when crossing the legs while seated in patent boots. Are there any scientist type people around who can explain why such a nice smooth and shiny to touch surface has such a huge amount a friction against itself?
