J-Nation Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 ...and how many of those members are active contributors to the board? Sadly, I would guess it's a tiny proportion. Emma

J-Nation Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 Thanks for answering my question! I take it they are cumulative totals/percantages going down the list? If so, almost half the members are still lurking and haven't even said hello Emma
taliheels Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 have you noticed the disproportion of viewings to actual replies?
Dawn HH Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Right you are Taliheels. A lot of people are reading but not posting. That happens in a lot of organizations. you have a lot of members, but only a small handful that keeps things rolling and gets things done and it is always the same people time after time. It doesn't matter what organization, it happens in them all. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
Shafted Posted August 5, 2005 Author Posted August 5, 2005 I suspect that many may just be shy about posting. The fact that people are reading says sonething right there. Shafted, the boots that is! Ionic Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 some people might share computers and not want cookies and other record of a registration on their pc - thought it all seems anonymous enough to me. Most of such things can be fixed if need be anyway. It's worth pointing out that the little bells by each topic change colour when topic is read but this only seems to work properly for me when I'm logged in. If this is normal then that's one clear advantage for joining the board to keep track of threads as they are read and show up new postings. /I /I
Dawn HH Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 Ionics:-) It's not hard to eliminate your cookies each time before you log off. I can even do that and I DO do that each time on my web-tv system. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
