Nikk Posted February 13, 2005 Posted February 13, 2005 On a recent trip to Tokyo I took the time to see what the fashions are like and to go out in my 3" ankle boots worn under normal length men's jeans - which nobody took any notice of at all. I was last there a few years ago when the ganguro/yamanba craze was going strong with many of the student age girls wearing crazy high platforms and outrageous makeup. These days only the goths seem to be wearing platfoms, but most of the women seem to be wearing boots or shoes with 3"+ heels. Spiky heels are popular and I saw quite a lot of blade heels too. Far more women wear skirts in Japan than in the UK; nice boots or pumps with a knee length or shorter skirt looks great to me.
loveheel Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 That is great. I have never worn heels out in Japan as I am always there on business and most of the time accompanied by colleagues our clients. But I agree that you can see nice footwear in Japan.
