Akev44 Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 Hi, The New York Times, as respectable newspaper has done some street shots. They sent photographer to the streets of NY and Paris. Here is the collage photo as it appears in the NY Times fashion magazine Here is the text (too small to read on the original picture): "An eclectic mix of shoes is seen in Paris, right, and New York, left. The platform wedge is a favorite in both cities. The debate over 1930's round toe vs. 1950's pointed toe goes on. New York kicks up its heels in fur and rhinestone for evenings. High style in late 1940's Paris is echoed in ankle-high designs." Akev
Laurieheels Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 Interesting styles, but nothing that appealed to me jumped out of the pictures. However, it shows continued variety and an eagerness for loftier heights, which will translate across the board for the shoe designs that get out there. And that is good for all of us.
GrayLion Posted November 26, 2004 Posted November 26, 2004 I quite liked a few of the styles - especially the red oxfords :-)
highheellover Posted November 26, 2004 Posted November 26, 2004 nice pics in ny times. Girls and heels rock.
