GrayLion Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 Hi all with a bit of luck I will be getting to work on heels with a modeller some time this week. Now, so far I am thinking 3 shapes - basic stiletto, rather thin. - slender Louis Heel, like in the 50s - wide louis heel as in http://www.fetis.ch/en/shoes/mules7.htm - now which one would people prefer? the shape as in xx25 or as in P512N? I am leaning towards XX25 myself. Also we got some new prototypes from the designers: Dorset Pumps and Brogues :-) cheers Bernhard
Anne_Louise Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 Bernhard, for me DEFINITELY stilettos (no surprise there then!) and as slender as science and engineering can manage! Also if the heel could be curved in a little at the back (underslung, I think you called it) that would be a bonus.
GrayLion Posted July 6, 2004 Author Posted July 6, 2004 Anne-Louise, I had already marked you vote for that
JinxieKat Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 Both the stiletto and the slender Louis heel. I love the shape of the Louis heel but am not a big fan of the chunky style. Are you still planing on making the oxford style? I hope so! JinxieKat
GrayLion Posted July 6, 2004 Author Posted July 6, 2004 I do indeed. I currently have some prototypes for oxfords that are brogues, ie all those fancy ornaments on the leather. For a male version see here: http://www.eshopone.com/smx/mens-shoes/oxford-brogue-dip/ I am rather chuffed with them :-)
asdf174 Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 I wish I could see the picture of the mules as they are my fav. style. (Darn web blocker.) It's all good. ~Arron.
Robert Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 Hi Arron, This is the XX25 style This is the P512N style Robert Boots, fascinating footwear http://s70.photobucket.com/albums/i103/Boots_1956/
GrayLion Posted July 7, 2004 Author Posted July 7, 2004 Anne-Louise, could you find a pic of your ideal heel shape? it would help my woodcarver.
