moegreen Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Hi everyone. In the last few years, my 42 year old wife has had 2 surgeries for Morton's Neuroma and went through countless hours of therapy. Her foot still bothers her to some extent and she is very limited in the types of shoes she can wear. Shoes with any kind of heel cause her immense discomfort and she can't wear them, even with expensive inserts she got from the surgeon. Has anyone had any experience with modifying high heel shoes for comfort? (I realize that's an oxymoron, but hopefully you get my drift). I'm thinking along the lines of a wedge heel with a small platform modified to act like a shock absorber. Unfortunately she gave most of her old shoes away in a moment of tears and frustration so I don't think I have any leftovers to experiment with. I might go out and buy a cheap pair to take apart and see what I can do. Any thoughts?
