Hello everyone

Hey all! I'm a 17 year old guy from Finland. I was quite surprised about how most people here seem to be quite a lot older than me. Anyway.. I've always been fascinated by heels and thought they're really beautiful but I always thought I "can't" wear them because, well, I'm a guy. But lately I've gained more confidence and watched some inspirational videos on YouTube (haha) which made me realize I have the right to wear whatever I like. :silly: Anyway, I've actually never walked on heels yet. I ordered two pairs last week from the US so it'll take a while 'till they arrive. But after reading this forum I got a bit worried. :-? Both of the pairs are 5 inch heel, 1 ½ inch platform. That's a bit high if you've never worn heels before, isn't it? Well, that's enough for introduction, looking forward to get posting. :)

Welcome to the forum and to heels! The first heels I ever walked in were 4" no platform... the first few steps were a bit of a rollercoaster ride (waa-hey!) but I stayed on my feet. Unless you have really small feet the 3½" rise should be ok, but even supermodels have trouble with platforms sometimes. Also it's one thing taking a few steps at home and quite another thing stepping outside and going any significant distance, so build up in stages. Hope your new shoes are a good fit, look great, and a lot of fun! Let us know...

If you like it, wear it.

Thanks for the respond! :silly: That's really good to hear! I was worried I'd have to buy another lower pair first, which I can't really afford right now. :-? But my feet aren't particularly small, so I'm sure I'll get the hang of it after some practicing then. And I'll definitely be taking a picture of them when they arrive and put it as my avatar. :)
