Hi - Newbie here. I just wandered in from skirtcafe.org, down the street. I have recently added heels to my wardrobe. I seem to prefer the classic two-piece pump style, and slingback styles. I have only two or three pair of heels (depending on what you count as a "heel".) I do wear only shoes from the women's department, as I find them lighter and far more stylish than shoes from the gent's department. I avoid wearing heels with a skirt, as then it sends the message 'crossdresser' (except of course on Mardi Gras when I AM crossdressing! ;) ) So you will see me either in a skirt or in trousers and heels. If you see me in the streets of the French Quarter say hi! Chris

I should perhaps add that I am an engineer and a bit of an amateur cobbler. I have several pairs which were bought with heels too high for my taste, and were successfully modified by me to a lower height (make a stiletto into a kitten heel, approximately). I look forward to participating in those conversations as well.
